An American pogrom
The Democrats have connived with incitement
“In the same article, Gates warned Jews against conducting race relations through a ‘theology of guilt’. The manifestations of this theology pervade the cringing hypocrisy that liberalism has become, to the point that Jonah Pesner, a prominent Reform rabbi, can appear on MSNBC with Al Sharpton, not to discuss Sharpton’s long career of libel and incitement against Jews, but to ‘discuss the president’s rhetoric about Jewish Americans’.
Bill de Blasio, a longtime ally of Sharpton’s, responded with the same hypocrisy as the anti-Jewish violence in New York City ran out of control. In February 2017, Jacob Siegel recently noted in Tablet, the NYPD reported ‘an 81 percent increase in hate crimes compared to the same period in 2016, an increase largely caused by a 115 percent rise in incidents targeting Jews’. Questioned a few days after, de Blasio ignored his police department and the growing CCTV evidence: ‘The horrible, hateful rhetoric that was used in this election by candidate Trump and by a lot of his supporters directly connects to an increase since the election in anti-Semitic incidents, anti-Muslim incidents and anti-LGBT incidents.’
In June 2019, de Blasio called anti-Semitism ‘a right-wing force’. He continued to deny reality until the Jersey City killings. I’m sure he didn’t meant to incite, but the effect was to connive, just as Pete Buttigieg and Bernie Sanders connive when they’re photographed with Al Sharpton as they compete for the Democratic nomination — or, moving from one kind of Jew-hatred to another, Nancy Pelosi connived with Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib by posing with them on the cover of Rolling Stone.
A similar connivance has corrupted the pro-Democratic media which uses the killing of Jews by white supremacists to hammer President Trump, only to consistently suppress the embarrassing reality of attacks on Jews by non-whites. On Sunday, Seth Mandel of the Washington Examiner described ‘practically begging’ editors to cover anti-Jewish violence that didn’t come from white nationalists, a ‘humiliating spectacle’ made all the worse by consistently negative responses.
‘There’s no one doing this work at the Atlantic,’ Mandel wrote. ‘There’s no one doing this work at the Washington Post.’ Nor, he said, are the New Yorker and the New York Review of Books covering what’s happening on their doorsteps. The same, Mandel said, goes for HuffPost, Slate, Mother Jones, Vox, BuzzFeed, the Daily Beast and NPR.
I hope Mandel is wrong and that all of these publications have assigned resources and reporters to an obvious and serious crisis in American life. Many of them have recently supported and published worthy investigations into the ways in which Republican politicians have mainstreamed the bigotry of white racists. It’s time that they did the same with the Democrats — and past time for the Democrats themselves to address their longstanding complicity with their preferred forms of anti-Jewish incitement.“

(Bloomberg) — The U.S. merchandise-trade deficit unexpectedly narrowed for a third month in November to the smallest shortfall in three years as exports increased and imports declined, the latest sign that economic growth is holding up at the end of the year.
The gap decreased to $63.2 billion from $66.8 billion the prior month, according to Commerce Department data released Monday that compared with forecasts for a widening to $68.7 billion. Exports rose 0.7% while imports dropped 1.3%

Trump will release his tax returns in the 2nd of his 2nd term. They may be released in June as that is when SCOTUS predicated to issue a ruling on the 3 tax lawsuits pending before the highest court. Wish for June, you June bugs.

,,,At the center of the maelstrom was the Office of Management and Budget, a seldom-scrutinized arm of the White House that during the Trump administration has often had to find creative legal reasoning to justify the president’s unorthodox policy proposals, like his demand to divert Pentagon funding to his proposed wall along the border with Mexico.
In the Ukraine case, however, shock about the president’s decision spread across America’s national security apparatus — from the National Security Council to the State Department and the Pentagon. By September, after the freeze had become public and scrutiny was increasing, the blame game inside the administration was in full swing.
On Sept. 10, the day before Mr. Trump changed his mind, a political appointee at the budget office, Michael P. Duffey, wrote a lengthy email to the Pentagon’s top budget official, with whom he had been at odds throughout the summer about how long the agency could withhold the aid.
He asserted that the Defense Department had the authority to do more to ensure that the aid could be released to Ukraine by the congressionally mandated deadline of the end of that month, suggesting that responsibility for any failure should not rest with the White House.
Forty-three minutes later, the Pentagon official, Elaine McCusker, hit send on a brief but stinging reply.
“You can’t be serious,” she wrote. “I am speechless.”,,,

Brennan does look to be central to the crap thrown at Trump for nearly four years.
There’s a movie, “The Report” that I saw last night, streamed on Prime, and it portrayed Brennan in a very bad light despite being from a more Democratic POV, a Senate committee investigation run by DiFi (played by Annette Benning), with Adam Driver (without a light sabre) playing the guy chairing the investigation. The actor portraying a very sleazy Brennan, Ted Levine, many years ago played the arch sicko serial killer of women in Silence of the Lambs and it was fun hearing faint echoes of Buffalo Bill’s voice mouthing the words of Brennan. Highly recommended.

President Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign announced Monday that it will hold a rally in Wisconsin on Jan. 14 – the same evening that Democrats gather in the early caucus state of Iowa for the first presidential primary debate of the new year.
Trump will appear at the rally at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena in Wisconsin, a state that played a crucial role in his election 2016.
“President Trump has delivered for Wisconsin creating 37,400 new jobs, including 4,900 new manufacturing jobs and 13,800 new construction jobs,” Michael Glassner, the chief operating officer of Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., said in a statement. “President Trump looks forward to returning to the Badger State to celebrate his message of ‘Promises Made, Promises Kept.’”

CANCEL CULTURE CLAIMS ANOTHER SCALP
“The simple-minded among us might say, Yup. There are a lot of smart Jews. But liberals promptly swung into action, in many cases weirdly accusing Stephens of perpetuating an anti-Semitic stereotype.
But the Southern Poverty Law Center said that Harpending was an anthropologist who possessed a white nationalist ideology and promoted eugenics, which was studied and practiced by the Nazis.” [and Margaret Sanger]

I would’t take the SPLC’s word for anything, and there is something laughable about a supposed pro-Nazi who publishes an article finding that Jews have high IQ scores. Be that as it may, the Times beat a hasty retreat, editing Stephens’ column to remove the reference to the Harpending study and issuing this lengthy Editors’ Note:

“The madness is distributed over many realms of American life, with the common denominator of a thinking class fallen into disordered thinking. The disorder is led by the information media and higher education with their crypto-Gnostic agendas for transforming human nature to heal the world (in theory). It includes a grab-bag of delusions and deliberate mind-fucks ranging from the morbid obsession with Russian interference in our affairs, to the crusade against free speech on campus, to the worship of sexual perversity (e.g. the Transsexual Reading Hour), to the campaigns against whiteness and maleness, to the incursions of woke-ness in the corporate workplace, to the cynical machinations of economists, bankers, and politicians in manipulating financial appearances, to the effort to divorce reality from truth as a general proposition.”

Those mutha mullahs got an unexpected Christmas present by air mail –
In a clear sign that the Islamic regime in Iran is worried about its survival, it has increased its attacks on American interests in the region, including the launch of missiles by its proxy Kataib Hizbollah on Friday that killed one American civilian contractor and injured several U.S. and Iraqi military officers.
In response, the Trump administration engaged in some signaling of its own, hitting five targets in Iraq and Syria on Sunday, reportedly destroying the group’s munitions depot and control center and killing one commander. Jonathan Hoffman, the chief Pentagon spokesman, warned Iran that unless it stops its malign behavior the United States will continue to defend itself.
Iran Demands a $15 Billion Credit Before Resuming Talks With Trump and EU
So while the Iranian regime may have gambled on a show of force to rally its base, the response from Washington was likely more than the clerics bargained for.
Washington is calling the regime’s bluff, in fact. Tehran may have believed that America would not retaliate. In the past, Donald Trump showed restraint when a U.S. drone was shot out of the sky and Saudi oil facilities were hit by missiles reportedly coming out of Iran. But the attacks on Friday demanded a military response, and they got one.
Good. Exposing the regime’s weaknesses, economically and now militarily, may be the best strategy yet of putting the squeeze on Tehran.
The 13th century Iranian poet Saadi Shirazi had a saying that perfectly captures Donald Trump’s understanding of the regime in Iran: “If you want to bring a mullah down from his high horses, make sure both he and the four-legged animal are hungry.”

“There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments and which can not fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance-that principle is contempt prior to investigation.”

So, I guess the good guy with a gun did not prevent a mass murder? Please enlighten.

GETTING POPULISM RIGHT
“Modern democracies are said to be in the grip of “populism” that the dictionary defines as “a political approach that strives to appeal to ordinary people who feel that their concerns are disregarded by established elite groups.” Most of the learned commentary from academia and the news media describe populism as a harbinger of the apocalypse, a threat to democracy, and the second coming of fascism, all stemming from racism and xenophobia.
But just how is populism to be distinguished from the legitimate democratic voice of a sovereign people, like the large majority in Britain that voted in favor of Brexit and, lately, for a Tory landslide whose message was “and we really mean it”?
My definition is simple: For the media and academia, populism is when the “wrong” people win an election; democracy is when the “right” people win an election. It is about that simple. (There’s a Yes, Prime Minister scene on exactly this point that I highly recommend. Key line: “Bernard, if the right people don’t have power, do you know what happens? The wrong people get it!” In other words—the “deplorables.”)

The Great Divide, Exhibit 1,892.
A crime still in progress
“The ultimate effect of Fusion GPS’s information operation, of which Crime in Progress is the latest installment, will be to harden the country’s political divide, delineated by what we might call the Simpson-Fritsch Line. On one side is the national elite and an intelligentsia whose commitment to a conspiracy theory proves they will promote any lie from which they stand to benefit. On the other are those who perceive themselves as the target of a destructive confidence scheme, a class of voters increasingly aware that they are being disenfranchised because their fellow Americans hold them in contempt. The fabric of our peace is tearing.“

Interesting that the Russian Collusion Delusion is making a comeback….just as an informed reader on this site predicted.

MINISTER AT TEXAS CHURCH: ‘THANKFUL THE GOV’T HAS ALLOWED US THE OPPORTUNITY TO PROTECT OURSELVES
While I appreciate the fact that the minister was promoting being a law abiding citizen and leader in his community, I strongly disagree with his being thankful for government “allowing” the parishioners to protect themselves. Quite ignorant of Declaration of Independence, Natural Law, and the US Constitution, and Bill of Rights.
These rights to protect ourselves precede our government and it is most assuredly government’s job to guarantee and facilitate the protection of such rights that are endowed by the. creator, not humans. Government does not “allow”, it protects such rights.
Mess with the flock, you meet a Glock.
