    Grasping at straws are we? Citing Bjørn Lomborg as some sort of a knowledgeable source is like asking Trump how to fight forest fires (“use rakes”).
    Lomborg has been censured by DCSD for playing “footloose and fancy free” with the facts to justify his stances. He was forced to change The Skeptical Environmentalist from a supposed science book to an opinion piece.
    The Union of Concerned Scientists strongly criticised The Skeptical Environmentalist, claiming it to be “seriously flawed and failing to meet basic standards of credible scientific analysis”, accusing Lomborg of presenting data in a fraudulent way, using flawed logic and selectively citing non-peer-reviewed literature

    Trumps gross exaggeration of his inauguration crowd was a typical example of narcissism which is considered a form of mental illness.
    Here’s a definition from the Mayo clinic:

    Waldo 1034am – Do you ever notice how relatively rare such shootings are compared to what occurs in Dem-built urban minority neighborhoods? There they are such a common daily occurrence that The Daily Beast doesn’t even pay them any notice. Well, they wouldn’t anyway because promoting such awareness kinda torpedoes the progressive narrative. But your kind is ever happy to hear of any such tragedies happening in “white settlements”, since then your logic allows you to argue that both kinds of neighborhoods, and therefore cultures, are equivalent.

    There is little if any rigorous science promoted by the Union of Concerned Scientists (q.v.), which is actually a leftwing political advocacy organization composed of “nearly 250 scientists, analysts, policy and communication experts dedicated … to use rigorous, independent science to solve our planet’s most pressing problems. Joining with people across the country, we combine technical analysis and effective advocacy to create innovative, practical solutions for a healthy, safe, and sustainable future.” They are no better than the ‘thousands of scientists’ that supposedly author the IPCC reports. Lomborg’s Copenhagen Consensus (q.v.), definitely not a rightwing outfit, takes at least a measured look at the hysterical lefftwing policy proposals to ‘combat climate change’.

    The wretchedly misnamed Union of Concerned Scientists’ Brenda Ekwurzel was on NPR recently, sharing her views on climate change, and it set me back 12 years when she was on the team debating against the question, “Global warming is not a crisis” posed by IntelligenceSquared, carried by both PBS and NPR.
    In short, the realists led by Lindzen, Crichton and Stott creamed the warmistas Schmidt, Sommerville and Ekwurzel. There hasn’t been a rematch… the embarassment was too great.
    PBS and NPR were there to demonstrate the power of the science for global warming and what they instead saw was what happens when knowledgeable scientists are allowed to speak directly to a literate audience.
