[Now that the impeachment kabuki has ended, the Senate trial will begin. But before that can proceed, Pelosi will try to squeeze some more preconditions out of McConnell before forwarding the House’s articles of impeachment. The cynical humor of the whole process goes on with Democrats continuing to accuse Republicans of unfairness along every step of the way, paying no never mind to having conducted the most blatantly partisan, unfair, and corrupt congressional circus in Congress’s long history. But the real story is again the ever-widening chasm between what now clearly are two Americas attempting to share the same government and territory while holding diametrically opposite worldviews and objectives. gjr]

Walt, telling Mr. Emery to do his own “Google it” is bad advice. He can google it and the articles supporting our claims first appear buried on pages 11 or 12 on the Google search lists. So, I cut the man some stack. Too much work. It does not surprise me in the least that he (and others) would be in the unaware category. The consequence of living in the bubble. Everyone I know hates Trump and I know a lot of people!! Some folks just don’t take surprises with grace.

THE NEW YORK TIMES’ HATE AMERICA PROJECT
“Last summer, [Baquet] huddled with his staff in a town-hall-style meeting—the proceedings of which were promptly leaked—and acknowledged a sad truth: “We built our newsroom to cover one story” (the now-debunked story that Donald Trump had “colluded” with Russia to steal the 2016 election).
The story didn’t pan out. “Now we have to regroup,” Baquet told the assembled troops, “and shift resources and emphasis to take on a different story.” What story? Henceforth, or at least “for the next two years”—the remainder of Trump’s first term—the Times was going all in on “race, and other divisions.”
In other words, the Times couldn’t bring down Trump by harping on Russia, but maybe it can bring him down by harping on race. Or at least, in the process of trying, make Americans hate their country.
The problem with the 1619 project is that, like the Russia collusion hoax, it is delusional.

FAKE LABELS
The Washington Post reports that some Democrats are mad as hell at Pete Buttigieg for abandoning some of his previous positions — e.g., Medicare for all and decriminalizing illegal border crossings. I think Buttigieg can live with their wrath, given that his move out of the hard left lane has corresponded with a surge in the polls, both nationally and especially in Iowa.
However, the Post’s article, by Chelsea Janes, illustrates what a slippery character Buttigieg is. The small city mayor used a leftist persona to make an attention grabbing entrance to the campaign, but started tacking towards conventional liberalism when he realized that’s where most of his votes (other than gay votes) are likely to be found.
Janes notes that, according to Federal Election Commission reports, Buttigieg has spent three times as much money on polling as any other candidate in the Democratic field. This fact shows Buttigieg to be politically astute. But coupled with his shifting positions, it also suggests that he’s “a political weather vane,” to use Janes’s term, and a worm, to use mine.
Janes’s article isn’t just interesting for what it says about Buttigieg. It’s also interesting for what it says about Janes and, by extension, the Post.
Janes, who last year was writing about baseball for the Post, persists in calling the views Buttigieg has abandoned “liberal” and his current positions “centrist.” The title of her article goes so far as to claim that Democratic candidates are drifting “rightward.”
Is Medicare for all the liberal position? Is decriminalizing illegal border crossings? Is packing the Supreme Court?
I would have called Medicare for all socialist, decriminalization leftist, and court packing radical. I would have expected the Post, at a minimum, to call them progressive.
If, instead, these positions are liberal, the political ground has moved from under our feet.
And if they are liberal positions, Joe Biden, who rejects Medicare for all and decriminalizing illegal border crossings, isn’t a true liberal. Yet, Biden has been considered a liberal all of his political life and, if anything, has been moving towards leftward during this campaign.
I think Janes and the Post are calling hard leftists “liberals” because they want to be able to call Biden a centrist. It’s false advertising for the former vice president. And it’s free.
They also want the political ground to move from under our feet. Under President Trump, it may be moving some, but not in a way that makes hard leftists into liberals and Joe Biden into a centrist.

Judge Royce Lamberth expressed concern with the continuing drip-drip-drip of Hillary Clinton messages.
“Hillary Clinton’s email scandal may be a fading memory for most, but it remains a live, legal morass for at least 14 attorneys who piled into a federal judge’s courtroom in Washington on Thursday for the latest round in the never-say-die saga.
Clinton’s nemeses at the conservative legal group Judicial Watch pleaded with U.S. District Court Judge Royce Lamberth for a chance to depose Clinton personally and to conduct a second round of questioning of Clinton’s former chief of staff Cheryl Mills.”……

Wind turbines kill an estimated 140,000 to 328,000 birds each year in North America, making it the most threatening form of green energy. And yet, it’s also one of the most rapidly expanding energy industries: more than 49,000 individual wind turbines now exist across 39 states.

Here you go Bonehead,,,you are as behind the times as your Dear Leader…
For two decades, the industry’s threat to birds has been at the center of a highly politicized debate. Critics point to turbines killing hundreds of thousands of birds annually—mostly songbirds, but also larger species, notably Golden Eagles. The wind industry responds that those mortalities pale in comparison to the deaths caused by cats or power lines. Yet neither viewpoint captures the full picture, because the debate is complicated by a looming factor: If climate change continues apace, hundreds of North American bird species’ ranges will shrink by at least half by 2100, according to Audubon’s models. “Climate change is the biggest impact on birds,” says Garry George, director of Audubon California’s renewable energy program. The rapid deployment of clean energy will be crucial to avoiding that fate. And if wind is part of the mix—as it must be—high-tech safeguards will help ensure birds fly into that future unharmed.

Personally, I kind of like the things, even with the problems (unreliable power, problems with power storage, hidden costs). I would suggest that anyone who really likes wind turbines should build some and sell the power to PG&E. It isn’t like they really care what the source is if it’s cheaper.
Like most tech being sold to the 420th Broad Street Volunteers, the answer always seems to occur before the question.
If people really cared about greenhouse gases, I expect they’d be all-in for fracking as a replacement for coal.

,,,Nader,,,equal opportunity agent but all around lowlife,,,
From 1981 through the 1990s, Nader was editor of Middle East Insight.[10] The magazine ceased publication in 2002.[11]
During the George H. W. Bush administration (1989–1993) he helped to free American hostages in Lebanon after the Iran–Contra affair.[10] During the Clinton Administration (1993–2001), Nader tried unsuccessfully to broker an Israeli–Syrian peace agreement, working with Estée Lauder heir Ronald Lauder.[10]
In the 2000s, Nader left Washington and spent most of his time in the Middle East, especially in Iraq after the 2003 Iraq invasion.[11] Since then, Nader has volunteered with U.S. politicians to act as a “shadow diplomat” connecting them to Middle Eastern officials.[10] Erik Prince, founder of security firm Blackwater, hired Nader to help with contracts with the Iraqi government; in a 2010 deposition, Prince identified Nader as a “business development consultant”.[12]
In August 2016, Nader met with Donald Trump Jr. at Trump Tower offering assistance to his father’s presidential campaign.[13] Nader served as an envoy representing Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and de facto ruler Mohammad bin Salman and Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The meeting included Erik Prince and Joel Zamel, an Israeli specialist in social media manipulation[14][13] and owner of intelligence gathering firms including Wikistrat and the Psy-Group, who bragged to have received $2 million from Nader as part of the presidential campaign.[15]
Nader attended a December 2016 meeting in New York between the United Arab Emirates officials and president-elect Donald Trump’s associates Jared Kushner, Michael Flynn, and Steve Bannon.[10] In January 2017 he was at a meeting on the Seychelles islands between the Emiratis and Erik Prince, and was present when Prince met with officials from the UAE and Kirill Dmitriev, head of state-run Russian Direct Investment Fund.[10]
Working with Republican fundraiser Elliott Broidy in 2017, Nader funded a conference criticizing Qatar that was hosted by the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.[16] At the time Nader and Broidy were pushing the White House to remove Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, whom the Saudis and Emiratis saw as insufficiently tough on Iran and Qatar.[7]
In January 2018, Nader was served a grand-jury subpoena,[17] and special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigators questioned him to elicit if the UAE had tried to influence members of President Trump’s campaign.[10][18] Kathryn Ruemmler, an Obama-era White House counsel, was among the lawyers representing Nader.[1] Nader was granted immunity for information for the investigation.[7][19] …Wiki

Will the real white Supremacists come forward. Not you, Candace Owens.
“The demand for white supremacists vastly exceeds the supply, which is why we see absurdities like the controversy over military academy students supposedly flashing “white power” signs at the Army-Navy football game. Now, apparently, the age-old “OK” sign means you are a white nationalist, notwithstanding that there are pictures of pretty much everyone in public life giving the sign, like Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and nearly everyone else.”
https://i0.wp.com/www.powerlineblog.com/ed-assets/2019/12/Screen-Shot-2019-12-23-at-6.15.05-PM.png?ssl=1
“A high school in the Chicago suburbs is reprinting its 2018-2019 yearbooks at a cost of more than $50,000 after school officials spotted photos of students making “OK” hand gestures.
The use of the “OK” sign has been tied to white supremacist movements in recent years, though the relevance of the connection is often unclear.
That’s putting it mildly! The “tie,” as far as I know, is solely via the 4chan prank.
Oak Park River Forest High School, located in the prototypically “limousine liberal” town of Oak Park, will shell out $53,794, negotiated down from $85,000, for the new mementos. According to a letter seen by INSIDER, the yearbook contained 18 photos in which an “upside-down OK sign” was performed by students.
This is all craziness, of course, but it is craziness with a purpose. The Left is desperate to keep its racism narratives alive, no matter how threadbare they may be. Thus we see the New York Times’ ridiculous “1619 Project,” which recasts American history in a way that no respectable historian would countenance. Does that bother the Times? Not at all. The goal is political, and is focused especially on the 2020 presidential race.”
—
Obviously, as noted above, the demand for white supremacists vastly exceeds the supply. It is vital to the Left’s narrative that white racism be alive and well–in fact, that it be an ever-increasing threat. But, obviously, it isn’t. If there were real evidence of a white supremacist movement (as opposed to one guy named Spencer who invariably is mentioned then the topic comes up), Democrats would cite that evidence.
But there isn’t any. I, personally, know hundreds, perhaps thousands, of people, but as far as I know I have never yet met a white supremacist. So the Democrats are reduced to whipping up enthusiasm among their voters, especially minority voters, with moronic attacks on Academy cadets and midshipmen and high school students. Are black and other minority Americans dumb enough to fall for this transparent ruse? I doubt it.
One thing we can say for sure: white supremacism has declined a long way from the days when it was the lifeblood of the Democratic Party, and Democrats expressed their racist views by hanging people. How much more peaceful it would have been if someone had taught the Democrats the “OK” sign!

“Democrats in Virginia may override local zoning to bring high-density housing, including public housing, to every neighborhood statewide — whether residents want it or not.
The measure could quickly transform the suburban lifestyle enjoyed by millions, permitting duplexes to be built on suburban lots in neighborhoods previously consisting of quiet streets and open green spaces. Proponents of “upzoning” say the changes are necessary because suburbs are bastions of segregation and elitism, as well as bad for the environment.”
And to END homelessness,, each home in the state will be issued a homeless person. In some cases a whole family.
See? Problem solved.

Impeachment
When some Dem lawmakers fired off comments of warning to SCOTUS, my radar went off. When the Dems accused The POTUS with Obstruction of Congress for seeking redress and clarity of the issue in court (the referees on such matters), I chuckled….but it is no laughing matter.
Now this. Is the House of Representatives going out of its lane? Are they exercising the Supremacy Clause??

One man’s opinion.
Nancy Pelosi, Not Trump, Is Provoking A Constitutional Crisis
“By refusing to send articles of impeachment to the Senate, Pelosi is asserting the primacy of the Democrat-controlled House over the GOP-led Senate.”
“”As my colleagues Sean Davis and Mollie Hemingway noted yesterday, “Pelosi apparently wants to control the Senate process from her perch in the House, a power grab that looks a lot like an abuse of power.” Likewise, her decision to withhold the articles of impeachment from the Senate and not appoint impeachment managers looks a lot like obstructing the Senate. House Democrats impeached Trump for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress—the very things Pelosi now appears to be doing.“
https://thefederalist.com/2019/12/20/nancy-pelosi-not-trump-is-provoking-a-constitutional-crisis/#
———————————————————————
1). It’s not just Pelosi driving this but the entire Democratic leadership. On Thursday, Democratic Majority Whip Rep. James Clyburn said he would be willing to withhold the articles of impeachment from the Senate indefinitely—“as long as it takes.”
2) The House of Representatives had voted to impeach President Donald Trump on Wednesday, but Nancy Pelosi suggested they might not send the articles of impeachment on to the Senate for a trial. Clyburn defended that idea. Then he said, “Let’s give him a fair trial and hang him.”
3) Moscow Mitch has been charged with “colluding with the WH.”
4) Bottomline: The outcome of the House impeachment inquiry was pre-determined, and everyone knows it. So is the outcome of the eventual Senate trial.
