Impeachment resolution?
The democrats first run failed so Putin regrouped and got the democrats to carry this sham forward. Those Rooskies are selling what the democrats are buying. Therefore I suggest the democrats are now in bed with Putin and they are both trying to get rid of Trump.

ROFLMAO
This is the Dems, Peloski, Shiff, Chuckie the Clown and the whole clown car in a nutshell. Perfect example.
“Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton urged for more “good and particularly young and diverse people” to brave “all kinds of accusations and falsehoods” in politics on Wednesday, less than a month after suggesting 38-year-old Samoan-American Tulsi Gabbard (D., Hawaii) is a “favorite of the Russians” in the 2020 election.
“Get involved and make it less toxic. I think you have to go in very clear eyed about what the current environment in our political system is,” Clinton told the audience during a panel with her husband Bill Clinton and Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg at Georgetown Law School. “You will be a target, and all kinds of accusations and falsehoods will be leveled against you, and online media makes it pervasive, so you do have to understand that [if] you put yourself into the public arena in today’s world, the costs are ones you have to be willing to bear.”
“Clinton made headlines earlier this month for suggesting on a podcast that Gabbard — who stated to CNN in August that she would not run as a third-party candidate — may be “a Russian asset” and could run as a third-party candidate to help Republicans. In 2016, Gabbard resigned as vice chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee in order to endorse Senator Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) over Clinton.
“Gabbard responded by calling Clinton “the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long,” and challenged her to run in 2020. Other Democrats, including Sanders, criticized Clinton for the “outrageous” claim that Gabbard is a foreign asset.“

““I know that the people of this community understand this better than perhaps any other community in this country and not just the devastation and grief and loss but what those solutions are,” O’Rourke said during the discussion, FOX61 reported.
One woman in the audience— a Trump supporter named Rebecca Carnes — stood up during the discussion and heckled the presidential candidate, saying Democrats are trying to “hijack” Newtown and “try to make an issue out of getting guns out of good peoples’ hands that can make a difference, and you know that, Beto.”

Double standard? Was Trump doing a staffer?

I’m leaving because I didn’t want to be pedaled by papers and blogs and websites, used by shameless operatives for the dirtiest gutter politics that I’ve ever seen — and the right-wing media to drive clicks and expand their audience by distributing intimate photos of me — taken without my knowledge, let alone my consent — for the sexual entertainment of millions.” ”

“On the House floor Thursday, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) said the way House Democrats were running the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump was “about to push this country to a civil war.”
Gohmert said, “Never in the history of this country have we had such gross unfairness that one party would put armed guards h guns to prevent the duly authorized people from being able to hear the witnesses and see them for themselves. And then, oh, we hear from this resolution today, we’re going to send you the depositions after we get through doctoring and looking at and editing the transcripts, we’ll send you those, so you have the evidence you need. That’s not the kind of evidence that a coup should be based on. If we’re going to have what they’re trying to legalize as a coup, we ought to have a right to see each of those witnesses.” ”
That pesky 2ND Amendment that the LIBS fear most might come to life.

Whistleblower? We don’t need no stinkin’ whistleblower.
“Ciaramella worked in the Trump White House until June 2017, when he left and returned to CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia, after “he was accused of working against Trump and leaking against Trump,” a former NSC official claimed. Another NCS official said that Ciaramella “didn’t exactly hide his passion with respect to what he thought was the right thing to do with Ukraine and Russia, and his views were at odds with the president’s policies.”
“Furthermore, Schiff is more deeply tied to the plot than was previously known. Indeed, RealClearInvestigations reports, “Earlier this year, Schiff recruited two of Ciaramella’s closest allies at the NSC — both whom were also Obama holdovers — to join his committee staff. He hired one, Sean Misko, in August — the same month the whistleblower complaint was filed.” Is it any wonder Democrats have been so adamant over keeping the identity of the “whistleblower” secret?
“Again, House Democrats, led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi (CA) and Schiff, have orchestrated this impeachment charade in a secretive manner in order to control the political narrative surrounding it. Their vote to approve a resolution this morning does little to change that.“

We don’t need no stinkin’ whistleblower, Part 2
“Politico reported on a Ukrainian-American woman who consulted for the Democratic National Committee, and “met with top officials in the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington in an effort to expose ties between Trump, top campaign aide Paul Manafort and Russia.” The woman, Alexandra Chalupa, was paid $412,000 from 2004 to June 2016 by the DNC.
“Ciaramella invited Chalupa to meetings and events at the White House, RealClear reported, documents confirming one occasion in November 2015. She also visited the White House with Ukrainian lobbyists seeking aid from Obama.
“Chalupa said she shared her findings with both the DNC and Hillary Clinton’s campaign. Politico reports that “Chalupa told a senior DNC official that, when it came to Trump’s campaign, ‘I felt there was a Russia connection.’” Chalupa also said that the Ukrainian embassy worked directly with reporters digging for Trump-Russia ties.
“Before Ciaramella filed his “whistleblower complaint,” he sought “guidance” from House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff’s staff and other Obama-era NSC staff recently employed by Schiff’s office. Before this “guidance” was public knowledge, the Chairman was adamant on hearing the “whistleblower” testimony.
“We need to speak with the whistleblower,” Schiff and other Democrats proclaimed. As soon as Ciaramella’s partisanship and collaboration was discovered, Schiff and the Democrats flipped to preventing the testimony from happening and moving their hearings behind closed doors.”

Obama was not the only one to vote “present”. Met Ilhan Omar.
https://dailycaller.com/2019/10/30/ilhan-omar-erdogan-turkey/
“The Star Tribune reports that Omar supporters are “vexed” by her abstention on the resolution. Perhaps if the paper bothered to explore Omar’s affinity for Ahmet Erdogan and her financial support by the friends of Erdogan, it might be able to perform the traditional function of a genuine newspaper. That job seems to be left to Alpha News and Imam Mohamad Tawhidi.
“Or perhaps it is Omar’s affinity for the Muslim Brotherhood (as manifested by her association with the front group CAIR) that explains Omar’s vote. Instead of exploring this angle, however, the idiotic Star Tribune reporter turned to local CAIR leader Jaylani Hussein to defend Omar: “She’s a champion of human rights, and this vote in no way is any different than what she’s been doing. We need to hold up all human rights violations whether now or in the past, with the same respect and dignity for all humans regardless of where these atrocities are committed and who commits them. I think that’s what she is trying to imply in her vote.”
Thanks for clearing that up.“

From the now closed Sandbox:
Fish pasted @ 10:22 am
“The 2013 act substituted the “lowest bid” method with the so-called “best value” model in which bids come in as either (1) Design Build; or (2) Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC). While these techniques have various theoretical advantages, especially for unique highly complex projects, including potentially cutting down the time to complete a project, it is a highly subjective selection process with the opportunity for corruption massively increased. To prevent cronyism and exorbitant cost increases, it requires high expertise and absolute diligence on the part of CDOT. What CDOT got was the exact opposite.”
Hmmm. Best value method?
“You’ve been warned: “Our campaign is not only about changing the system politically and economically. We will change the value system of this country.” —Bernie Sanders

And more Daily Quotes from this time in space
Insight: “Socialism proposes no adequate substitute for the motive of enlightened selfishness that today is at the basis of all human labor and effort, enterprise and new activity.” —William Howard Taft (1857-1930)
Political futures: “If the reports about the whistleblower’s identity are true, it raises grave, fundamental concerns about the basis of this Ukraine investigation — and explains why Washington Democrats continue making every effort to hide information from Americans.” —Rep. Mark Meadows
Bluster: “I do not take any pleasure in the need for this [impeachment] resolution. We are not here in some partisan exercise. We are here because the facts compel us to be here. There is serious evidence that President Trump may have violated the Constitution.” —Rep. James McGovern
Non compos mentis: “All speech is not equal. And where truth cannot drive out lies, we must add new guardrails. I’m all for protecting ‘thought that we hate,’ but not speech that incites hate. It undermines the very values of a fair marketplace of ideas that the First Amendment is designed to protect.” —former Time editor Richard Stengel
Demo-gogues: “I’ve mostly been flying commercial, um, but we’ve been trying to look at other ways that we can reduce our carbon footprint and it’s everything from the kind of car we drive … to … do we purchase offsets? Some words for Cross Bob
“In a phone interview on Wednesday, Mr. McCloughan, 73, who had not seen the image before a reporter sent it to him, said that he interpreted it as Mr. Trump recognizing the dog’s heroism. He certainly was not offended and laughed when he compared the two images.
After all, he said, Medal of Honor recipients accept on behalf of their entire teams, especially those that did not return from battle. And canines have long been part of war efforts.
“This recognizes the dog is part of that team of brave people,” he said.
WWMT reporter Mike Krafcik also spoke to McCloughan, who reiterated that he takes no offense.
“I’m not offended by another hero,” McCloughan stated,”

Listening to the sham resolution defense by the democrats I say they are trying to do Russian biusiness in interfering with our elections. It is now apparent that Pelosi and Schiff are Russian assets and they need to be booted from office and tried as traitors. The Ukranian President said there was no “quid pro quo” or pressure. Therefore the allegations cannot be true there were as claimed by the democrats. This is all a Russian play and the democrats are their allies. Trump 2020.

Supported by the state Democratic Party and championed by the American Civil Liberties Union, the referendum was passed by a wide margin in 2014. The idea behind it was to reduce certain non-violent felonies to misdemeanors in order to free up resources for cops and prosecutors to focus on violent offenders.”

One man’s opinion: Escalating violence and more protests. Overreach is always a risk.
“She cites sociology professor Dana Fisher: “There has been a lot of discussion among people on the left who use protests as a tactic that peaceful, traditional protests may not be enough. … That could mean … more people blocking traffic. … I think we’re going to see a lot more people coming into D.C. to get arrested.”
“Fisher continues: “When activists don’t feel like their grievances are being heard or responded to … the natural progression is to get more confrontational and, sometimes, to get more violent. … I’m … surprised it’s taken so long.”
“Who wins when leftists go lawless — in liberal citadels like D.C.?
This thinking echoes the famous “bodies upon the gears” speech of Mario Savio at the famous 1964 University of California, Berkeley campus riot: “There’s a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that … you’ve got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you’ve got to make it stop!”
After Berkeley came civil disobedience; the burning of ROTC buildings; and urban riots marked by looting, shooting and arson. Out of that came Richard Nixon’s 49-state landslide, Ronald Reagan, and Republican triumphs in five of six presidential elections starting in 1968.
Bring it on.”

Big gums: Unfortunately for you and the author of the link you posted, the majority of Americans oppose open borders. But, my all means, ride that falling star to the end. It’s a sure fire loser.

Biguns 236pm – What Caplan totally discounts is the impact open borders will have on culture and social stability. He also omits any mention of the Left’s nanny state provisions as they would apply to ‘residents’ of what then used to the USA. Right now illegal border migrations are totally motivated on our governments’ screwed up welfare packages that await all successful illegal entrants.

Biguns 249pm – Most Americans, you not among them, understand that campaign promises mean to communicate what the candidate hopes to do with the consent and cooperation of Congress. It’s only the dimwitted among us who believe that such statements of best efforts are promises that can be kept regardless of the tri-partite form of government we have. But in your favor, you do have a lot of company in sharing such a view of what is a ‘lie’.

Caplan also refuse to acknowledge that most of the room temperature IQ imports that he champions will in large measure be dependent on government handouts for the foreseeable (read forever) future. His “trillion dollar opportunity” is for the cheap labor crowd (they benefit) assuming some can be employed productively but more so the “let’s import and expand a new dependent captive consumer market” types (Big Agra, Big Pharma, etc.) all funded by the taxpayers.
Really had no idea that Doug Keachie was so philosophically aligned with those that he has maligned in the past as crony capitalists?
