Former Union publisher Jeff Ackerman writes (here) that Californians today pay and average of $4.02/gal for gasoline while the rest of the country averages at $2.64/gal.  And the escapee to Oregon goes on to point out that all of this is self-inflicted pain that the state’s voters are way past having enough between the ears to change course as Sacramento does its best to accelerate dumb laws/regulations and spread our epidemic across the country.

Gun confiscation was again disguised at the Giffords/March for Our Lives “gun safety forum” in Las Vegas. The Dems are having problems coming together on which or whether to back such confiscation schemes as mandatory buybacks.  Even Moms Demand Action have stopped short of buybacks, which leaves Beto (of AR15/AK47 fame) and the klatch of radical socialists more isolated than ever.  Many of us hope Beto will double down on his ‘Damn right, we’ll take your guns!’

No more masks for Hong Kong protesters.  An old British colonial law is to be invoked to threaten protesters with eventual arrest when they reveal their faces to government operated face recognition software that is being installed all over China today.  Here we are considering doing the same, starting with neighborhood watch cameras for recording night time crime (and anyone else who is on the street after dark).  Soon after, we’ll be fighting daytime crime and questioning people who are recorded being out of their own neighborhoods.  Isn’t technology wonderful?

[4oct19 update]  Volker’s House testimony and release of tweets are the first real disclosures that may seriously put Trump’s tit in a wringer in the ongoing impeachment saga.  Trump is by no means the first president to seek and get foreign aid against political opponents for some horse trading.  But back then it was no big deal and a known prerogative of office.  IMHO, if the sought aid concerns a material revelation about the character of a political opponent, then I don’t oppose such information gathering.  However, I do oppose purchasing fabricated ‘evidence’ of an opponent’s bad character from foreign sources.

Now Trump is dumping on Rick Perry. . He’s jumping ship lke all the other early Trump supporters have
“But he then threw Perry into the mix and said something to the effect of: ‘Not a lot of people know this but, I didn’t even want to make the call. The only reason I made the call was because Rick asked me to. Something about an LNG [liquified natural gas] plant,’” Axios reported, citing one source’s recollection of the president’s remarks.
“Another source on the call, according to Axios, “said Trump added that ‘more of this will be coming out in the next few days’—referring to Perry,” who is reportedly planning to leave the White House by the end of November.

    For Emery
“”Here’s what’s going to happen: if the whistleblowers’ allegations are turned into an impeachment article it’s imperative that the whistleblower be interviewed in public, under oath, and cross-examined,” Graham told Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” promising that “if that doesn’t happen in the House, I’ll make sure it happens in the Senate.”
Graham pointed to the need for Trump to be able to confront his accusers, saying, “There can be no valid impeachment process unless the president can confront the witnesses against him.””

“Johnson told reporters that a U.S. diplomat told him on Aug. 30 that the aid was contingent on Ukraine’s president opening investigations into whether Ukraine meddled in the 2016 U.S. election.
Johnson told a Wall Street Journal reporter that he was concerned about those remarks and contacted Trump to discuss. He said Trump denied to him in August that he was withholding aid to Ukraine in exchange for political favors.”

In Greek mythology Sisyphus or Sisyphos (/ˈsɪsɪfəs/; Ancient Greek: Σίσυφος Sísuphos) was the king of Ephyra (now known as Corinth). He was punished for his self-aggrandizing craftiness and deceitfulness by being forced to roll an immense boulder up a hill only for it to roll down when it nears the top, repeating this action for eternity.Through the classical influence on modern culture, tasks that are both laborious and futile are therefore described as Sisyphean (/ˌsɪsɪˈfiːən/).[2]

Here is how the normal people are reacting to the socialist clown car and botox Nancy show –
Politico‘s Andrew Desiderio attended six town halls in one day for swing-district Rep. Sean Casten (D-IL) — and discovered that voters do not like impeachment. In fact, many support President Donald Trump’s criticism of former Vice President Joe Biden.
Casten defeated long-term incumbent Republican Peter Roskam last fall in the 6th congressional district of Illinois, in the far western suburbs of Chicago, as part of a nationwide Democratic sweep of suburban districts.
But his left-wing policies and bare-knuckle style were never a good fit — and now he is facing pushback from constituents who are upset that he is backing Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and the left in their attempt to force Trump out of office.
Casten did admit that Trump had done better than former President Barack Obama in arming Ukraine against Russia.

THE AD THAT CNN WOULDN’T RUN
CNN refused to run this Trump ad on the Biden Ukraine scandal. Why?
“CNN is rejecting the ad, as it does not meet our advertising standards,” a network spokesperson told The Daily Beast. “Specifically, in addition to disparaging CNN and its journalists, the ad makes assertions that have been proven demonstrably false by various news outlets, including CNN.”
I have no idea what “assertions” have been “proven demonstrably false.” That is a characterization that I would apply to probably 75% of Democratic Party advertising carried by CNN and other networks, but what they have in mind here, I don’t know. Here is the ad:

“Oh what a tangled web we weave when at first we practice to deceive”
Walt will like this one. Worth reading every word, Brother Walt.
“Whistleblower Aid, a small nonprofit helping the lawyers for the so-called whistleblower at the center of the impeachment movement targeting President Donald Trump, is heavily tied to far-left activist organizations and Democratic politics.
One of the co-founders of Whistleblower Aid previously worked at several liberal activist organizations financed by billionaire activist and Democratic Party megadonor George Soros. The other co-founder currently leads a separate organization that boasts on its four-person advisory board John Podesta, who led Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, served as Chief of Staff to Bill Clinton and founded the Soros-funded Center for American Progress pushing a progressive agenda…..
Tye continued, “At the same time, yes, the rule of law starts with the office of the president. Like many other people, we are definitely concerned about things that are happening in the administration. The decision to fire [FBI Director] James Comey. The lack of transparency. A lot of people have questions about whether this administration respects the rule of law.”
Upon its founding, Whistleblower Aid actively sought to attract the attention of Trump administration government employees by reportedly blasting advertisements for its whistleblower services on Metro trains, using mobile billboards that circled government offices for 10 hours a day, and handing out whistles on street corners as a gimmick to gain attention……
Some of those common threads run through an organization repeatedly relied upon in the so-called whistleblower’s complaint and are tied to CrowdStrike, the outside firm utilized to conclude that Russia hacked the Democratic National Committee’s servers since the DNC would not allow the U.S. government to inspect the servers.
CrowdStrike founder Dmitri Alperovitch is a nonresident senior fellow of the Cyber Statecraft Initiative at the Atlantic Council.
The Atlantic Council is funded by and works in partnership with Burisma, the natural gas company at the center of allegations regarding Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.
Breitbart News reported that a staffer for Rep. Adam Schiff’s House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence took a trip to Ukraine last month sponsored and organized by the Atlantic Council think tank. Schiff’s office denied any impropriety.
The Schiff staff member, Thomas Eager, is also currently a fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Congressional Fellowship. Burisma in January 2017 signed a “cooperative agreement” with the Council to sponsor the organization’s Eurasia Center.
    And more!!!

Rudy Rudy Rudy you’re such a fool to think this wouldn’t get out.
KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — As Rudy Giuliani was pushing Ukrainian officials last spring to investigate one of Donald Trump’s main political rivals, a group of individuals with ties to the president and his personal lawyer were also active in the former Soviet republic.
Their aims were profit, not politics. This circle of businessmen and Republican donors touted connections to Giuliani and Trump while trying to install new management at the top of Ukraine’s massive state gas company. Their plan was to then steer lucrative contracts to companies controlled by Trump allies, according to two people with knowledge of their plans.

Good review of where we are today. Surprisingly fair.
Everything you need to know about the Democrats demands for impeachment
“That could mean some of what’s going on today, at least from the CIA angle, is intelligence bureaucrats “striking back” because they lost their access to diplomatic communications, a coveted source of the intelligence community’s power. But even the Obama administration liked to hide diplomatic calls from the broader intelligence community, which should tell us something about that bureaucracy.
“In other words, the real big takeaway here is that we have a problem with our Washington bureaucracy, including our intelligence agencies, which have routinely crossed the line into policymaking. How much of the impeachment mess is due to CIA bureaucrats being incensed that Trump, who is elected, would dare to question military aid to Ukraine, and would dare to curtail their eavesdropping on diplomacy?
“The unelected Washington bureaucracy that has been created in the last 60 years, especially the intelligence agencies, is too unaccountable and too powerful. And many in this bureaucracy, though they think themselves saints, have the worst of intentions.”
    https://thefederalist.com/2019/10/07/everything-you-need-to-know-about-democrats-demands-for-impeachment/
Any (good) CIA analyst will tell you their job is simply to inform the President and never get involved in policy. In a perfect world with checks and balances within bureaucracies and agencies, the CIA never gets involved in policy. The Company briefs the POTUS so he/she can make informed decisions with the information available. In a perfect world….

Of course they need another whistleblower to collaborate to the 3rd party hearsay of the first “whistleblower”. Consider it a baseball team when the batter strikes out and there is another in the out deck circle, batters’ box, and a full dugout waiting their turn.
The Dems (and Biden) learned their lesson with the Clarence Thomas smear & slime. Anita Hill had nary a collaborating witness, changed her story, and uttered falsehoods…so much so charges could have easily be brought up against her for perjury (lying) according to the FBI reports. It was only after Biden was shown the reports and file that he dropped the attack on Clarence Thomas the Evil One. As a side note, Anita Hill is enshrined in the Smithsonian Black History Heros Museum and Clarance Thomas is absent, but I have digressed.
As a direct result of the Soviet style show trials, the Lefties learned something and that was why they desperately searched high and low for one single person on Earth to collaborate Blassey-Ford’s allegations against Brit Kavanaugh. Every witness she identified (friends) could not verify her account or even remember being at the party. To date, there is zero evidence that there was ever even a party. So, the Liars brought mentally ill “witnesses” to collaborate or tell similar tales….a rape in a boat in Rhode Island with someone who never been to Rhode Island, a woman 20 years Kavanaugh’s senior at a “party”, and on and on it went. No collaborating witness or evidence. Hang the man anyway!!!
So, Jiggles was correct. A second whistleblower is needed for the Leftinistas’ Kangeroo Court, Soviet style circus. Due process? They don’t need no stinkin’ due process or facts. Verdict first, then the hearing. Something Punchy characterizes as “legitimate”, roflmao.
If one is curious to when this “divisiveness” started in modern day politics, look no further than Biden’s BORKING of the extremely fit Robert Bork.
Biden is a despicable immoral Swamp Creature. Expect the JV team to parade a bunch of whistleblowers and nary a word about the actual contents of the released telecom transcripts.

I sent him the video of Biden doing just that. Hamilton sent me a link to a USA Today article that fails to have a Youtube of his bragging. Maybe you all might send a copy of that to Hamilton to ensure he knows we are telling the truth.

    From his email to me
    “Hey Todd,
Planning to publish your on Wednesday, but this statement has been widely reported as proven out to be false.
Biden as vice president told Ukraine they had to fire a state prosecutor who was looking into the company Biden’s son was involved with.
In fact, the opposite was true.
