Joe Biden remains on top of the Democratic presidential polls, which can only be taken as an indication of the weakness of the field. “Slow Joe” Biden has never been intelligent, and at 76 years old he is far from the top of his game, such as it ever was.
Among other things, Biden has longstanding problems with race. Biden is famous for his gaffes, which are usually written off as signs of his good-old-boyness. But a striking number of those blunders have involved race. Some are well-known (Barack Obama was “The first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.”), some less so (“There’s less than 1% of the population of Iowa that is African American. There is probably less than 4 or 5% that are minorities. What is in [Washington, D.C.]? So look, it goes back to what you start off with, what you’re dealing with.”)
Last night, Biden stepped in it again, sounding a theme that he has tripped over more than once before: “Poor kids are just as bright and talented as white kids.” Hoo boy. It’s a good thing for President Trump that he never says anything like that!
Like Hillary Clinton (although for somewhat different reasons), Joe Biden will never be president. He simply isn’t smart or competent enough to mount a successful campaign, as his prior runs have demonstrated. And at 76, he isn’t getting any better. If I were a Democrat, I would be deeply concerned that my party doesn’t have a candidate who, so far at least, can match Slow Joe in the polls.

There is a huge difference between a nuke-armed N Korea and a crack pot with some guns. No individual with any sort of fire arm is a match for law enforcement. N Korea also has a slightly powerful ally that keeps it in power. Heard of China? To compare an alliance of China and N Korea with some nit wit shooting at his neighbors is ridiculous.

First, the obvious. We are too far out and the Big Three (Biden, Warren, and Bernie) are yet to be seen on the same stage together.
With that disclaimer aside, I don’t see anybody else emerging and all have their weaknesses. Mayor Pete has never moved from zero support with the black vote, and Bernie has a big problem outside the Socialist crazies. Bernie Is King of the Youth Gen XYZ vote, which is why he got slammed in 2016 across the South and among the traditional Democrats. Perhaps he did as well as he did because of a widespread dislike of Hillary more than his message. I think his numbers have peaked and won’t rise. What he has is what he’s got and a reflection of the true power of the AOC crowd. Don’t got the numbers this time around.
Harris the Dirty Cop can’t get traction with even the black vote of all things nor the Far Lefties. So, that leaves Slow Joe and Fauxahontas. Some, like ‘Minnesota Nice’ Amy are shooting for a cabinet position or VP slot, so it will be interesting to see who she attacks and who she plays nice with. Same with Mayor Pete.
The dropout derby has it as Biden or Warren. Warren has the likability factor working against her. No wonder the easily panicked Left are fretting.
