[We will now have to dissect the when and how President Trump was the prime cause of all these massacres. And one thing is clear to many of our tight thinkers, the man is able to make such things happen in cities where he previously held a campaign rally. So finally, after all the years of mass shootings, we have identified their cause. Socialist science marches on. gjr]

The far-left New York Times caved to the leftist Twitter mob with a major switch in headlines between its first and second editions.
The first print edition’s headline read, “Trump Urges Unity Vs. Racism.”
But after the Blue Checkmark Mafia freaked out, the Times caved with a late edition headline that reads, “Assailing Hate But Not Guns.”

A guy shoots two people per second over 24 seconds, and when he’s done, half of them are dead. Seems reasonable enough that the fellow can waltz into a neighborhood store and and then waltz right back out armed with a weapon of this capacity and capability. It’s his right. Damn right.
It’s not his fault though. His daddy found greener pastures and lit out when he was just a baby to be raised by his discarded mother all by herself.

If it were not for double standards they would have none at all –
While it is true that the El Paso gunman allegedly posted an anti-immigration manifesto filled with bigoted vitriol, the writer said his twisted thoughts predated Trump. The Dayton shooter, on the other hand, was an avowed leftist who seemingly supported Antifa and held anti-ICE, anti-police, and anti-Second Amendment views, according to a Twitter account linked to the gunman. He also had a liking for Warren herself, writing in one tweet that he would “happily” vote for the Massachusetts senator. Warren has not delved into the Dayton shooter’s purported support for her. Rather, the mainstream media have rallied behind her, urging critics to refrain from implicating Warren.

AV Idiot 11:52 – try reading past the headline. Already collected 20 B. vs 28 B ‘committed’ to farmers. The amount from tariffs will increase while the amount committed to farmers will not. And the article won’t go into the industries aided by not having to compete unfairly with China, who started this trade war decades ago.
Nice try.

In the absence of a modern total police and surveillance state, we”ll just have to rely on the old fashioned standby of waiting for a crime to occur.
But of course, Cobb was a bad guy, a corrupt Sheriff, killed in the end in a fair fight with the good guy with a gun, so there’s something for everyone.

Just yesterday boss hypocrite hawg Juvinall said it was the lack of morals and the loss of the nuclear family to blame for gun violence and others yipped in agreement that it was the proliferation of children in fatherless households that were to blame. I guess it boils down to infidelity. The Muslims aren’t so far off when they blame the infidels. But infidelity and morals don’t count if you are a white middle class good ol’ boy living in Nevada County?

The noted trends in society are helping to fuel the greater number of young males that feel the need to act out in mass shootings. That does not absolve the shooters from personal responsibility for their own actions.

History is replete with societies whose entire generations of military aged males are lost to war and the young are raised in fatherless households, yet mass shootings don’t seem to be an expression of acting out among these children as they grow to be men.

Its the economy stupid! –
Reviving American manufacturing and restoring jobs for workers in the sector were key campaign promises of Donald Trump during the 2016 election cycle. While there is room for debate as to who should get credit for what is now the longest economic expansion in American history, it is clear from the data that Trump’s presidency has coincided with a boom in manufacturing jobs.
When President Trump put tariffs on steel and aluminum, critics predicted the higher costs of metals would weigh on U.S. manufacturers and cost U.S. factory workes their jobs. The ongoing strength of the U.S. labor market, particularly in manufacturing, has undermined this line of criticism.
Job openings in durable goods manufacturing came in at 319,000 for the month, in line with May’s revised 320,000. Prior to Donald Trump’s election, unfilled jobs in this sector had not exceeded 220,000 since before the last recession.
Nondurable goods manufacturing openings held steady at 183,000.
The number of unfilled jobs in the overall economy fell slightly in June to 7.35 million, down from 7.38 million the previous month. May was revised up from an initially reported 7.32 million, indicating the labor market was even stronger than thought. Both figures are close to record highs. June’s figure was 1.37 million above the number of unemployed

The killer wore a dress and was a woman hater just like Rock Humper. I see a pattern emerging. No wonder he shot his sister. He, like many Lefties here, had serious misogynistic issues.
“Dayton mass shooter Connor Betts was reportedly the lead singer of a misogynistic “pornogrind” metal band called Menstrual Munchies — which released songs about rape, murder, necrophilia and other gruesome acts against women.
“The band added, “JUST ANOTHER DIME A DOZEN OHIO GRIND DUDE WHO CAPED PROGRESSIVE POLITICS WHILE TREATING WOMEN LIKE SHIT.”
“Betts was described by his bandmate as a loner who spoke about being depressed. Creekbaum confirmed reports of the alleged “hit-lists” Betts made of classmates he wanted to rape, kill and skin — saying the young man told him about them.
“I think he decided that he was going to kill himself, and he was like, ‘I don’t have the balls to do it’ and he drew a gun,” Creekbaum said.“

Everybody has what they think is a solution. One commentator puts out a list, others say that wouldn’t work. Even the mental health industry is pushing back. Here is an interesting take:
It’s Not Guns Or Mental Illness. The Problem Is Deeper Than That.
“At bottom, the answer is that we have become a country filled with numb, detached, and desensitized people. Mass shootings are the ultimate manifestation of that detachment. Our reaction to them — rhetorically slinging dead bodies at each other to score points in a political argument — is a slightly less severe but very much related manifestation. A survivor of the El Paso shooting reports that the shooter casually smirked before unloading on a crowd of innocent people. This echoes many other reports from many similar shootings. The killer is always smirking like he’s slightly amused, or else he’s blank-faced and emotionless. Rarely do you get a picture of someone running around enraged and screaming. We call these acts of “hate,” but they are much more acts of brutal, murderous indifference. These are empty, numb, detached people slaughtering their fellow humans because they are bored and frustrated with their meaningless lives.
“But this only kicks the can another mile down the road. If it is detachment and desensitization causing these attacks, the next question is, what causes the detachment and desensitization? The culprits here are manifold, but the internet has to be one of the first places we look. Though it has of course existed for several decades, the internet has only been ubiquitous for the past two. The rise of social media is even more recent than that. As with any massive societal shift, we will not fully understand its effects until we are a good distance from it. But it’s already fairly clear that our cyber space obsession causes us to be increasingly detached from the physical world and each other. It’s a cliche to point out that our connectedness has made us disconnected, yet there’s truth to most cliches, and this one is no different.”

How can you stop mass shootings?
You cant. Not all of them.
But you can limit or mitigate them.
We need an all of the above approach- including:
1) expanded red flag laws
2) mental health resources/outreach
3) addl law enforcement cyber resources to infiltrate extremist chats and monitor radicalization hubs
4) concealed carry laws and training for onsite personnel at major gathering points
There is no panacea, banning assault weapons will do nothing, and anyone who says otherwise doesn’t know what they’re talking about

CNN CHANGES CHYRON FROM ‘FAITH LEADERS’ TO ‘CONTROVERSIAL PASTOR’ AFTER REVEREND WON’T CRITICIZE TRUMP
“When Owens said he did not remember Trump saying anything about leaders of color, Lemon pushed further, asking if any pastor there raised “concerns about what he has been saying lately about people like Elijah Cummings or anyone.”
“Owens said “that was not the purpose of the meeting” and that it was actually to discuss how to help the black community.
“Lemon then asked if there was any concern that Trump “used this meeting with black leaders to insulate himself form black criticism.”
“I don’t think so,” Owens said. “I don’t think that all because I’ve been to the White House four times in five months so it was nothing about insulating.” The pastor reiterated that Trump wanted to hear from the faith leaders to see what he could do to help.
“The Chyron remained the same, as Lemon turned the conversation in another direction.”

Hmmm. Drill down 10,000 feet (almost two miles) into the ice and what does the temperature record tell us of the last 400,000 years? It tells us that Warming preceded increases in CO2 by an average of 800 years. Makes sense. Warmer climate would mean more vegetation growing and more CO2. It’s that causation or correlation?
Call me a dummy, but I ain’t sold on rising CO2 “CAUSES” climate change.
“Our analyses of ice cores from the ice sheet in Antarctica shows that the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere follows the rise in Antarctic temperatures very closely and is staggered by a few hundred years at most,” explains Sune Olander Rasmussen, Associate Professor and centre coordinator at the Centre for Ice and Climate at the Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen.”

I can second a lot of the above reasons we are seeing increased casual acts of horrible violence. The reasons are manifold. Society has drifted into ‘progressive’ waters and we are reaping the benefits.
For decades I’ve heard all sorts of people from college profs to bar stool pundits smirk that Christianity is just a way to ‘control’ people.
Well folks – we’ve definitely freed our society from that control.
How’s that working out?
Kids are now raised in schools that teach nihilism and that morals are just social constructs. And our new morals are just social constructs. Why shouldn’t kids feel they can construct their own? Human life itself is no longer sacred – skin color, age and other factors can now be considered more important. If a human life is inconvenient, why not just end it?
This whole mess is hopeless – the Dems and now even the Rs are going along with this whole “NATION UNDER SIEGE”
mentality. I read about people afraid to go out to the store. Total madness. And frightened people are easy to gull into signing away their rights. Most all of the proscriptions from the left would not, in any way have forestalled the mass killings we have seen. Doesn’t matter, just scream and yell about Trump and go after the NRA. In other words, the left is just looking for votes and more political power. Standing on the dead bodies while spouting one lie after another is great fun – watch them do it.

“the science that rising CO2 causes climate change.” is not valid.
STUDY FINDS NO EXPERIMENTAL EVIDENCE OF AGW
A new paper by Jyrki Kauppinen and Pekka Malmi, at Finland’s University of Turku argues no experimental evidence confirms anthropogenic climate change.
The authors do not count projections made by climate models as evidence of climate change because, they note, climate models often disagree with each other and have a range of sensitivity estimates of a doubling of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere from “very close to zero while the highest ones are even 9 degrees Celsius for a doubling of [carbon dioxide]. The majority of the papers are using theoretical general circulation models (GCM) for the estimation. These models give very big sensitivities with a very large uncertainty range. Typically sensitivity values are between 2–5 degrees.”
According to Kauppinen’s and Malmi’s research, changes in cloud cover, a factor climate modelers are unable to replicate, account for most of the warming experienced since 1983, just before fearmongering about human caused global warming began.
“Experimental observations indicate that [a] 1 percent increase of the low cloud cover fraction decreases the temperature by 0.11 degrees Celsius,” says the paper. “This number is in very good agreement with the theory given in the papers. Using this result we are able to present the natural temperature anomaly by multiplying the changes of the low cloud cover by −0.11 degrees Celsius.”
Kauppinnen and Malmi show changes in low cloud cover, and other natural factors like shifts and ocean currents and volcanic eruptions, account for or track the changes—increases, declines, and periods of relative stasis—in global average temperatures since 1983, leaving no room for greenhouse gases to be a contributing factor. In short, holding other factors equal, when low cloud cover declines recorded temperatures have risen, though less than climate models assuming carbon dioxide as a driver of temperatures have predicted. And when low cloud cover has increased on average globally, temperatures have declined or stabilized, despite an ongoing increase in carbon dioxide.
The researchers conclude, “[d]uring the last hundred years the temperature is increased about 0.1 degrees Celsius because of carbon dioxide. The human contribution was about 0.01 degree Celsius,” which is hardly the majority of the temperature increase the earth has experienced over that time period.
If this research is correct, it puts the lie to the supposed 97 percent consensus claim that human greenhouse gas emissions have accounted for the majority of the increase in temperatures over the past century.

“Harris’s significant drop in support from black Democrats and Democrat primary voters comes after the second Democrat debate where Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) noted Harris’s record as California’s attorney general, when she supported jailing marijuana-smokers and keeping inmates in prison to provide cheaper labor for state projects.”
Yup, that “cheap labor” just cost her plenty.

The demeanor of the shooters from eye witness accounts is starting to paint a picture of a person detached from any connection to humanity. The guy in Dayton shot his own sister and best friend. And the left wants to blame Trump and the NRA.

Never let a crisis go to waste.
“In El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, following the mass murders of Saturday and Sunday morning, the local folks on camera — police, prosecutors, mayors, FBI and city officials — were nonpartisan, patient, polite and dignified in the unity and solemnity of their grief for their dead and wounded.
“But for the Democratic presidential candidates, the El Paso atrocity was like a loose football in the Super Bowl.”
“Yet the naked political exploitation of these horrific acts, before the bodies of many had been removed from the crime scene, was appalling to behold.”

No, it’s true, 97% of climate scientists who are hooked on government grants that expect CO2 to be the culprit think CO2 is the culprit. It is amazing what a scientist will not know if his job depends upon him not knowing it.
More on Red Flag laws… the GOP has reportedly become enamored with them in the wake of the last few days. I would hope that they’ll stick to their guns and force Dems to accept Red Flag legislation that has strong procedural protections for the folks being given the finger by (soon to be former) friends or (soon to be estranged) family.
And, if someone is found not to be a danger to themselves or others, getting their guns back intact in a timely manner. Like immediately. And compensation for the experience of being falsely accused.
