[Interesting discussion from the last sandbox on Baltimore, shithole cities, and the misguided attack on Kushner and other investors in companies willing to provide housing in crime and drug infested ghettos. The simple-minded accuse such investors of being "slumlords" with the same logic that investors (like me) can be accused of causing the opioid epidemic by investing in pharma companies or killing women and children in the mid-east wars by investing in defense industries. Bill there actually is a term for the thinking you described above, it is “eco-fascism.” Groups or individuals who follow the thinking; eco-fascists. Eco-fascism goes back a long way–to the early 1960’s and a line of European proponents who blended green theology with authoritarianism and totalitarianism.
Eco-fascism is a political system where a totalitarian government would require individuals to sacrifice their own interests to the “organic whole of nature” and which would rely on militarism and expansionism to control resources and allow less fortunate people to starve to reduce the pressure on resources.
There is a growing attempt amongst some European far right political parties like La Pen’s National Front, the right wing Alternative for Germany, a set of groups in Finland who follow deep ecology, and some American far right leaders like Richard Spencer, to link environmentalism and white ethno-nationalism as a means of creating a broad enough identity based coalition to challenge for real political power.
So let’s be clear…eco-fascism is fascism….it is antithetical to democrat values, it is inherently racist, it is against individual liberty, it is anti-human in its prescriptions. It is a bastardization of some of the ideas of environmentalism used to manipulate people into fascism. Eco-fascism is a morally reprehensible construct and should be completely rejected by environmental proponents as such.
There is almost no link between members of the main stream environmental community and eco-fascism (regardless of Rush Limbaugh’s love of the term), but it is also important for main stream pro environmental protection voices like mine to explicitly reject this movement. I am happy to do so.

I had βeco-fascismβ originally as the one and only term to label I could think of. βThey donβt neatly fit into a Right-Left paradigm.β But, I immediately took out the term eco-fasicts because that does not quite fit either, IMHO.
To me the eco-fascists where the ones spiking trees with metal spikes to injure the guys in the lumber mills, burning down via arson housing tracts under construction, destroying new cars in dealershipsβ parking lots. That kind of thing. A good time to point out that the first domestic terrorism group identified as such by the FBI were the Eco-Terrorists.
In my mind the eco-fascist label is inadequate and did not capture all the moving parts. The Back to Earth movement/fad, generally considered far left, but is just one of, all the moving parts. When I hear eco or greenies, I generally think lf the Left. But open borders and such donβt fit into the manifestos. Eco-fascists will do in a pinch or until a new term emerges.
I will have to sleep on it. I just do not see a big White Nationalist movement (wave) emerging. Yes, hate crimes are on the rise, but I just donβt see this as the tip of the iceberg or a movement spreading from sea to sea. The reporting is on the rise, but it could be someone flipping someone off a pedestrian while driving down the street. Even the Jussie Smollett case goes as a hate crime in the books because it was reported. Goes by reporting, not validity. But, thatβs a distracting side issue. The shooting was real.
We should expect move incidents of violence as a natural outcome of inflamed passions. Some are going to blow their tops. That is as old as man himself.
All in all, I see White Supremes like eco-terrorists on the fringes and will remain there. Most murders are committed in the heat of passion, and the weapon does not really matter.

If the rhetoric does not cease that has been a established mantra for months on end that βYT is badβ and all the problems/troubles of peopleβs miserable lives are ALL Whiteyβs fault, you are going to see a bunch more shootings. The race baiters and race hustlers can only pound relentlessly on YT for so long until someone opens the window and yells out, βI am mad as hell and I am not going to take it any moreβ
The flames are being fanned. Young white boys are taught they are wrong and guilty for so many of societyβs ills simply because of the color of their skin. Because of the color of their skin and because they were born with a penis. Let that sink in.
Stop with the racism. The media needs to tone down their anti-white racist rhetoric. Walk it back. It is going to led to more violence and creates hate. Hate is the end result, not inclusiveness or unity.

In the “how stupid can you get’ dept. Obvious simpleton, Mike Huckabee said in reference to mass shootings, “I would posit that the lack of thought and prayers is probably the single biggest factor in what is behind them.” I guess easy access to assault rifles and lax background checks have little to do with it. If only we all just prayed more it would all go away. Every time there is a mass murder all the republicans have to say is “thoughts and prayers thoughts and prayers”as they wonder when their campaign donation is coming from the NRA, Colt, and Winchester. #SAD

Mr. Cross should look in the mirror and therein he will find his bogey man.

Cross – the facts and statistics and reasons are overwhelming. Children from broken families are far more prone to emotional and behavioral problems later in life. Young men coming from a family where the father is absent are far more apt to be violent and have anti-social behavior. This has nothing to do with hating women. It’s called reality. You can yell and scream and jump up and down but the numbers are way too clear.
That said, we have an existing problem. The guns are out there and you are not going to confiscate them. You teach impressionable young men that morality is relative. That killing innocent human life is a “choice”. The govt rewards law breakers based on skin color. Young American white males are told they are bad people simply because they exist. There is an ever reduced outlet for natural male aggression.
Trump has nothing to do with these problems and getting rid of him won’t help one bit. Getting rid of our Constitutional Rights will not help one bit. The trouble has been brewing for decades and now we see the results. The American left has been on the wrong side of everything I’ve mentioned.
