Once you get to my place, transportation will be no problem – I have a 1/2 ton truck and a 7K gross flatbed trailer to squire you around in style. You can roll out at any number of brew pubs, ethnic eateries and rib joints.

Just today, I received a Boise moving guide sponsored link. Junk mail. Unsolicited. It even had our local area code (530) for contact information and the Move to Boise information kit, lol. I swear, I did not or have not even searched the web for Boise, Idaho. Saw that and thought of you. Made me laugh….the contact number being my area code. Must be a need, a void to fill. Maybe a local networking for the city.
Joe Albertson went to the College of Idaho, met and married his sweetheart there…she was a gal from Boise. Turn the page and Joe opened up his first supermarket in Boise at Sixteenth and State Streets. Hard to believe how fast our nation changed. Joe was born in Yukon, Oklahoma Territory ….in 1909.
The only reason I mention it was I was offered a full scholarship to College of Idaho and a bunch of small colleges I never heard of….from Jamestown College in North Dakota to some in Montana to El Paso and a bunch in California. I choose another direction and boy was my dad pissed….er…disappointed. I told him Southern Cal was too smoggy, Montana too cold, Texas too dry….I went another direction. Literally. I walked out of the house and stuck out my thumb.
Left Northern Idaho after St Helens blew….too many California’s moved in and ruint the place. Even some old friends that live up there say it got worse since I left and never go to Cour d’ lean. Breaks their hearts. Friggin Californians turn paradise into shitholes. It’s what liberals do everywhere they go. I still dream of those places….but decades later they only exist in my mind. You should have see it then. Russ did.

If you really were in Boise and that’s all you saw, I’ll have to wonder what kind of restrictions you were on.
Most of us are free to wander about and take in all of the fine city.

PS. Spent an hour today watching videos of locals in Baltimore in the shithole parts of town. Most have never seen Cummings once there in 30 years. One woman said the last time the West Baltimore had a good economy or was happening was in 2003…and she never saw him there then.

We chose to live here because it is home to my wife’s family. Well, yes, they’re white. But they embrace diversity and raised their kids that way. And so does a majority of Nevada County, even though it is white. Some of the commentary on this blog is the exception, not the rule. Except for the embarrassing “rag head” discussion that occurred here a while ago, I can’t think of a more illustrative example than the last week. Even you still cling to it, though you are no longer a local.
