OK, Swalwell bailed yesterday 8jul19, and today that in/out/in again Tom Steyer threw his hat into the Dems’ candidate carousel ring.  Tom Steyer will be #26 in the Dropout Derby, and those who wish can resubmit their dropout lists by inserting Steyer’s number into their existing list with no other changes in their ordering.  These will be accepted before the next Dem comes to his senses and hits the silk.  And I’ll do this update only once on the scoring and then lock down this competition with 26 declared candidates, 25 remaining as of today.  Additional hopefuls will be ignored.  The fun has already begun.

[update]  Mr Tozer submitted his updated dropout list.  You’ll notice that he put Steyer in exactly the same place that I did (we did not consult).  The figure below shows the current dropout lists.  Those with zeros at the end have not updated and are invited to do so.  The ‘CumScore’ row lists the cumulative score to date as the dropout continue.  (You’ll note that I’m bringing up the rear.) Recall that each dropout’s score is equal to ((26-1) – miss distance)/(26-1).  Miss distance is the absolute value of (dropout list entry – actual dropout location).  If you nailed it – miss distance is zero – then your score for that dropout is equal to 1.0 .  If you would have put Swalwell (#20) in position 26, you would get a zero score added to your cumulative score.  Of course, no one did that, and as the dropouts proceed it will be more difficult to get low scores, but perfect scores will always be possible.

He has money and apparently nothing else to do.
He can hang around quite a while even if no one knows who he is. Eventually a front runner will promise him some sort of position if he drops out.
Or maybe he’ll get bored and find a new hobby – who knows?

Creepy grampa joe is still slipping –
While Biden continued to lead the pack with 22 percent support, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) landed firmly in second place with 18 percent support. Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) followed in a close third, garnering 15 percent support.
Interestingly, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who has effectively lost his solid second place status after a lackluster debate performance last month, is in fourth place with 12 percent support and tied with the “not sure” option, which 12 percent of respondents chose.
The survey shows Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D) maintaining his status as a second-tier candidate with six percent support. He is followed by Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) with three percent support, and Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Julián Castro (D), who both secured two percent support. The remaining candidates garnered one percent support or less.

Hey Don, that means you and me have the same polling numbers as Beto! Beto, the one the brain dead fakenews media slobbered over for being JFKesque. Sent a big gusher up and down Chris Mattews’ legs, all three of them.

The major reason I picked Slow Joe to be that last one standing is I still don’t believe that most Democrats have gone off completely off the rails. The communists, socialists, SJWs, elitists, and the Leftinista media have gone full blown bonkers, but not the average Joe Bag of Donuts. He ain’t even following the news.
The other reason is Warren just don’t don’t poll with the Blacks (7%). Nor does she poll with Native Americans, lol.. Interesting survey….backs my gut feeling. The far left still does not have the numbers this election cycle, despite all the the TDS hype and 4 Babes of the Apocaleft.
