[I've been mulling over the utility of these sandboxes again. More and more they have become the repository of tripe, with interesting threads and tidbits thrown in by readers who occasionally demonstrate that their abundant acumen lies mostly fallow. I wouldn't mind it if some of the other posted topics that interest me would get more discussion, but too many of them go over with the existing cohort of commenters like a fart in church. Many of the interesting emails on my topics come from readers who apparently don't want to join into the online fray. So I keep asking myself, why do I host these sandboxes of scurrilous shit-flinging. No good answers have risen to the surface. Thoughts? gjr]

Paul is simply an ignorant man when it comes to politics. This isn’t a matter of opinion.
Look at Trump’s court picks. Look at his record of dismantling unneeded regs. Cutting taxes.
Is he a perfect classic libertarian? No, but his major accomplishments are in the ballpark.
Give him the blue pencil and then see if he’s the ‘exact opposite’ of a libertarian.

Paul is showing his ignorance again. Spending bills originate in the House. And spending is the problem. As I noted, and you ignored, give him the blue pencil. Yes, libertarians believe in free trade. But it has to be free trade both ways or it isn’t free. The tariffs are part of his engaging with China’s ongoing trade war not something he’s doing just because he loves tariffs. You have ignored his major accomplishments. Just because you can show some non-libertarian acts does prove against the major accomplishments that are very libertarian.
He is hardly the ‘exact opposite’ of a libertarian. AOC or Bernie or Sanders or just about any Dem would fit that bill.

RE: Crossdressers reading to the kids at the library.
So a man dresses like a woman and then reads to children. Perhaps that might be a bit confusing for the children? Why not get a veteran or a cop or firefighter dressed in their uniforms? This PC stuff is out of control and now the kids are forced into it. The adults should be ashamed of themselves.

Like putting lipstick on a pig. I am more concerned with what is going in in mandatory Sex Ed in CA than library reading time. The library is like taking a child to see a children’s play. School is different. The kids are a captive audience, wards of the state, if you will. The transgenders dressed as sensual adult sex goddesses are poor role models to our sons and daughters of women as the stereotypical sexualization of women is what we fought against. And teaching about anal sex to young impressionable minds is a deal breaker for me.
I actually feel sorry for some adult transgenders. A common story is that a guy transgenders to a woman and finds out the lesbians won’t date the transwoman, The heterosexual males have no interest in her, the gays have no interest, the cisgender females have no romantic interest. Like a man without a country. A big rude awakening and the bubble is popped.

Be that as it may, I can save those shrinks a lot of puzzlement and study. No matter how you slice and dice it, Transgender Women are not real women, duh. Sorry. Go ahead and send me death threats. Heterosexual women are attracted to heterosexual men and vice versa. A lesbian is attracted to a woman, a real woman. It’s how we are wired.
But, not so with heterosexual males being attracted to transgender women. Lesbians are generally not attracted to transgender women. Make believe women just don’t cut the mustard, just don’t get the juices flowing. New study out from Psychology Today, hot off the press.

PaulE, I think you may want to pull back a bit. You don’t answer to Democrat mandated spending, and you don’t recognize fundamental tenets of libertarian thought and ideology (e.g. on taxes on regs). ScottO observed that your “green” libertarianism starts and ends with localized MJ legislation, and it’s hard to see where he errs in that assessment. Your record here is indelible.

“In December of 2013, Hunter Biden flies on Air Force 2 to Beijing, China, with his father,” Schweizer told host Laura Ingraham. “His father meets with Chinese officials, he’s very soft on Beijing. The most important thing that happens [is] ten days after they return. And that’s when Hunter Biden’s small, private equity firm called Rosemont Seneca Partners gets a $1 billion private equity deal with the Chinese government, not with the Chinese corporation, with the government. Schweizer Secret Empires also revealed how Hunter was appointed to the board of a Ukrainian oligarch-owned energy company, Burisma Holdings, while his father was vice president and negotiating U.S. policy with Ukraine. The New York Times reported in May that Hunter Biden was paid “as much as $50,000 per month in some months” by Burisma, despite the fact that he “lacked any experience in Ukraine and just months earlier had been discharged from the Navy Reserve after testing positive for cocaine.”

The attorneys said the National Guard’s decision to ban the Christian scouting group is “discriminatory and unconstitutional.”
John Stemberger, the chairman of the Trail Life USA board, said told the “Todd Starnes Radio Show” that it’s disheartening that a “federal institution like the Army is buying into this leftist idea that faith has to be excluded from the public square.”
“It’s sad that an institution of our society is treating faith like it is some kind of bacteria or virus that needs to be exterminated from secular society,” Stemberger told me. “We need faith integrated with society.”
The good news is that once First Liberty Institute and the Independence Law Center got involved, the National Guard quickly backed down and rescinded the ban on the Trailmen.
“We are grateful that the Guard has chosen to open its doors to the Trail Life troop,” ILC attorney Jeremy Samek said in a statement. “The boys from Trail Life USA’s troop deserve to be treated fairly and equally. I know they are excited to get the opportunity to interact with those who defend our freedom.”
Stemberger told me he was mighty thankful for the work of the religious liberty law firms.
“Thank God for good lawyers,” he said.
Regardless, supporters of Trail Life USA expressed their bewilderment that Christians would have to fight for the right to tour a National Guard facility

Get this: the girls used to bring over a young man who is the real McCoy. He liked hanging out with them, friends and all. My only beef was everytime we were all ready to head out, we had to wait for him to do his hair and get the makeup on. Took forever. Worse than any woman. Like, been waiting for damn near an hour already. Why the holdup? Then, he would ask me about if what I think of shoes, or does his hair look right. One day he looked like Edward Scissorhands and the next time he was here he was a blonde David Bowie unisex look. The last time I saw him he was some metallic Blue Egyptian Queen look.
That boy took forever to get ready. He valued opinion, nice kid. But don’t ask me if the shoes go with the jeans. Typical woman. If you say no, they wanna know why and whatz wrong with them!!! If you say yes, they think you are lying.l
