   This is what I sen via email to the Union’s editor and publisher this morning.
   “Reading the paper today it is clear you choose articles that trash Trump almost exclusively. Why is that? If you preach “fairness” and bi=partisan why are the articles so negative. Even your cartoon today is ridiculous and not even funny. When he does something bad I am all in for holding him accountable. But when the news is good you deny him his due. Even the articles that you will cite as neutral from today are worded to diss him. If you want to kno why America is divided I suggest you read your own paper and take some responsibility for the divide.”

The thing we face is so widespread in America and this week we saw the same thing in England. The left are good spell checkers there as well but morons on all those “man on the street” interviews.    “I was sitting in the White House when President Trump said I want his security clearance taken.”
   Brennan has been an outspoken critic of Trump and his tendency to question the motives of members of the U.S. intelligence community. He recently said he hopes Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats and CIA Director Gina Haspel will “stand up” to Trump’s “unprecedented act” of granting Attorney General William Barr “full and complete authority to declassify information” related to the origins of the federal investigation into possible ties between the Trump campaign and Russia.
   Paul said he thinks Brennan has been “a partisan” and “abused his office in developing the Trump investigation. I think it was done under false pretenses and done for political reasons.”

To at least half the country, their politically motivated abuses while in office and salacious accusations as private citizens are now an accepted tautology – as self-evident as the sun rising in the east.     Okay, after the dust has settled and Brian Dahle has been elected the state senator from SD-01, Peter Van Zant and Jeff Pelline are boasting that “blue” Nevada County got Dahle elected. I wonder if they read the colunms in the Union, the letters to editor and the posts on Pelline’s own blog, where Democrats lamented the fact that two Republicans were in the finals and many stated they were not voting and had thrown their ballots in the trash as soon as they received them and were not going to vote. So if all those “blues” didn’t vote how did they help Dahle get elected???

    Keith 153pm – That most certainly is a silly but expected piece of progressive thinking. 23% voter turnout of 8K voters of whom 5K voted for Dahle. Given that two Repubs were running, then what fraction of the 8K voters were Dems? Ans: few if any – it wasn’t ‘their’ election. So it takes some kind of a serious brain fart to conclude that the 5K of the 8K who put Dahle over the top were blue voters.

    I find it virtually meaningless, Punch. For one thing, they make no claim of the respondents being anyone who answers the phone, or registered voters or likely voters. The lack of a claim makes me suspect it’s anyone who answered the phone.
    One interesting factoid from the Quinnepiac poll… whites with college degrees went strongly for Trump, but non college educated folk (like you!) went 2:1 for Biden and 3:1 for the Bern.

    In the March primary for District 1 Senate the Dems Candidate Pfluger was no 1 in the polling once again showing Nevada County is a Blue county, the Blue pimple as George likes to call it.

    In the case of your 246pm, while the far lefty from truckee got nearly 41% with a plurality in Nevada County only, a full 54% of the Nevada County votes went to Republicans and Dahle would have won with a runoff only in Nevada County.
    Now, it might have been had the Senate district scared off any mainstream Dem as an unwinnable waste of time.
