   The Republicans are starting to get it that Trump is a dog. this is from a Senator from Georga.
   Sen. Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., told the website The Bulwark that he plans to give a speech Wednesday on Trump’s criticisms of the late Arizona senator, who was the GOP presidential nominee in 2008.
   “ Donald Trump’s renewed rhetorical attacks on John McCain are not sitting well with other Republicans – particularly one senator who said he plans to deliver a verbal “whipping” to the president.I just want to lay it on the line, that the country deserves better,” Isakson said. “The McCain family deserves better, I don’t care if he’s president of United States, owns all the real estate in New York, or is building the greatest immigration system in the world.”

   Ozz 1032am – I don’t think you understand why we voted for Reagan (after Jimmie Carter). And we didn’t vote for Trump because he had a rightwing resume – he didn’t. Both men won because they promised to change the direction of the country under their predecessors. Carter was a dispirited American defeatist of the Jerry Brown school who came closest to inviting the USSR to start WW3 – Reagan remedied that. Obama, …, well, we’ve done Obama in these pages, and it’s hard to know where to start with that smooth talking know-nothing transformer. Trump promised to change that, and to a large extent he has. But the collectivist cancer that Obama introduced is yet to be excised, and there is no guarantee that the surgery will be performed.

    The ‘problems’ with the electoral college are mostly its features, not bugs. One of the ‘problems’ was that there might be a tie. And couldn’t that happen with the popular vote? Can you imagine a popular vote POTUS election that ends up separated by less than 1% of the total? Recounts into the next millennium. Do away with the electoral college and our next civil war is assured. Trump won the popular vote in over 5 times the number of counties as Hillary. No wonder the blue mob wants pure democracy. We are a republic with our rights protected by a Constitution. The left and the Dems want mob rule. History has shown that democracies in countries with a non-cohesive populace always end badly, very badly.
    And if the Dems really want to ‘pack’ the court – gee, why not start right away?
