Neither Harvard or Cal were caught in the first batch… Harvard may be protected by doing their selling out in the open.

It looks like the UK is going down the road of the pony tail of ignorance, next it will be bats. Why not get back to stop and frisk and fully enforcing the law? Naw that’s too obvious.

    For Robert Cross.
Kinda long, but definitely not written by anonymous. Akin to school shooter Nikolas Cruz crying out for help repeatedly, and no one listened…for political expediency. Push ‘em through. The suicide rate of adult transsexuals is now pushing 40%. Medical malpractice? Anyway, food for thought.

,,,Bill,,,I doubt this article, The Biggest Higher Education Scam Isn’t Hollywood Fraud, It’s Academia Itself, is correct.
,,,How many buildings on elite colleges are available to have someone’s name put on them? There are other ways for ne’er-do-wells to get in on pappy’s coattails…I heard that if a military brat’s father was at West Point,,, and maybe this is true at other schools that parents attended,,, they got a leg up at the admissions office.

    Yes Paul-
Todd is “pro life” on his terms and only as he knows it. Sorry point is, he barely crawled out of high school on his knees and knuckles, never stood up, and I’m certain he doesn’t understand the difference between plant, animal, protist, or vegetable.
Speaking of Todd and his “ilk”. There is a green Dodge pickup that parks in front of Penny’s and the owner used adhesive letters to write” Fiestien and Pelosi suck”. I kid you not. He drives around like this. He might as well have a kick me Post-it on his back. Wonder if he and Todd share any tattoos?

The Republicans are finally getting sick and tired of being defined by the Trump family mob. Good on them for finally standing up to the don and not only giving his emergency declaration the boot, but overwhelmingly asked for ALL of Mueller’s papers to go public. Next, it will be ten years of hidden taxes. Mr. “if you got nothing to hide” is being told by his own party to walk his talk.
Speaking of dons, I heard one took six in the chest and then got run over by a truck! One can only wish that it is contagious.

Leave it to the Congress to be unanimous over an action they have no authority to command.
Perhaps the best kind of futile gesture.
    All…
The SAT is often criticized as not performing its central task… to predict college success. However, to believe that one has to accept that students struggling at CalTech with near perfect SAT scores in their past are equivalent to Communications ‘majors’ at Sierra College with an IQ similar to that of a sack of hammers.
If the darling influencer at USC there because mom and dad paid someone $250k each for her and her sister tried to do the work at a CalTech, Harvey Mudd, MIT or Cal (in science and engineering, not Disgruntled Studies), she’d not have been there long enough to party before a basketball game.

Welcome to our CA education system, newcomers.
“The ACLU has begun sending out lawyers to school board information meetings on curriculum and very vocally and publicly reminding officials and parents that the time has come to move forward or their schools will face immediate legal action.”…..
“Finally, the parents had a chance to speak, some saying that they had been purposefully ignored because it was known they would object to the graphic elements intended for the curriculum as well as the unmonitored discussion of sexuality and gender identity. Davis reported one mother exclaimed, “How can a state that claims to be so much for the rights of immigrants and minorities then ignore our concerns on purpose? They are hypocrites!’
Davis said one white woman called the Hispanic crowd “liars” and “fear-mongers.”

Thanks for the detailed description of a blunt. As you are, no doubt, acutely aware, Bessee Blunts were showcased at the opening of the marijuana retail store in Nevada City. Did you learn about blunts when you went to anti-marijuana therapy at American’s Against Safe Access training?
As an aside, a friend’s mom was an anti MJ activist in Sacramento and had a kit of paraphernalia she would use to teach parents “what to look for”. To this day I don’t think she is cognizant of the fact that her sample bong has a bowl encrusted with thick black resin – courtesy of her daughter. Clueless.

No dopers in government. No way, no how.
“The Pentagon is reviewing Elon Musk’s federal security clearance following the billionaire’s marijuana toke on a California comedian’s podcast in September, according to a U.S. official.
“Musk has refiled his SF-86 security form, which requires a federal employee or contractor seeking a clearance to acknowledge any illegal drug use over the previous seven years, according to the official, who asked not to be identified. The entrepreneur has a secret-level clearance because of his role as founder and CEO of Space Exploration Technologies Corp., which is certified to launch military spy satellites.
“Smoking marijuana is “absolutely grounds for termination or loss of a clearance if a federal employee or contractor currently uses” it, lawyer Zaid said in an email.

I suppose you never considered that, with non-left wing intersectionality being down to the individual, that literate non-leftists don’t feel responsible for such people.
That’s his business. Not Walt’s, Todd’s, George’s or fish’s business. And no matter how such a person comes to his or her conclusions, they’re probably less likely to pick the pockets of the body politic than you or AVman.

Hmmm. I am more concerned with a politician than becomes a millionaire than a billionaire that becomes a politician.
    ——————————————-
Quotes from our triggered time in space
Upright: “We are having the anti-vaccine discussion for the same reason we are having to remind people that commies are bad. People haven’t experienced mass pandemics or Soviets in some time. They’ve forgotten and now the loudest voices are the ones who believe the lie.” —Erick Erickson
Food for thought: “We are blessed to live in a time and a place where diseases that killed our ancestors are easily treated through preventative measures in the early childhood years. Let’s not squander that blessing because of something someone wrote online.” —Jay Sanders
For the record: “I don’t miss it. You know, everything now … everyone has to know your politics. I tried to use Johnny’s model, and I would get hate mail from both sides equally and thought, ‘Well, that’s fabulous. That’s exactly what I want.’ But when people see you as one-sided, it makes it tough. And, you know, I did it when Clinton was horny and Bush was dumb, and it was just a little easier. Now it’s all very serious. I’d just like to see a bit of civility come back to it.” —former late-night comedian Jay Leno
A blind squirrel finds a nut: “Yes, I do [believe in capitalism]! I think it also, when it doesn’t work, it’s been a force for bad, but that’s been true of every form of government that we can identify. We’ve gotten it right sometimes, and we’ve gotten it wrong sometimes. When you let markets work with rules and with people on the beat to enforce those rules, we can produce a lot of wealth in this country.” —Elizabeth Warren
Non Compos Mentis: “We should be excited about automation, because what it could potentially mean is more time educating ourselves, more time creating art, more time investing in and investigating the sciences, more time focused on invention, more time going to space, more time enjoying the world that we live in. Because not all creativity needs to be bonded by wage.” —Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
Braying Stink-Ass: “This motherf—er is like ruining the planet and all kinds of other crazy s—t. And the people think that’s okay. It’s not f—ing okay. And if you’re not saying anything, then you’re complicit.” —Samuel L. Jackson on Donald Trump and his supporters
And last… “Get ready to see lots of reporters throwing their panties, and I’m not just talking about the men from Vox. Robert Francis O’Rourke is running for President.” —Erick Erickson
Hmmm. “”Because not all creativity needs to be bonded by wage.” —Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Well, that what entrepreneurship is all about.

Eating their own. They should have never gone after Horowitz or been such a shameless hate group. You point one finger at others, you have three pointing back. “The Southern Poverty Law Center has fired co-founder Morris Dees, the group announced Thursday…….
The SPLC tracks hate groups in the U.S. and works to prevent discrimination against minorities, but the Advertiser‘s series aired allegations of discrimination against black employees, who “accused . . . Dees, the center’s driving force, of being a racist.”

Snowflakes are officially confirmed as new thing with the attendant mental health issues –
“More U.S. adolescents and young adults in the late 2010s, versus the mid-2000s, experienced serious psychological distress, major depression or suicidal thoughts, and more attempted suicide,” said lead author Jean Twenge, PhD, author of the book “iGen” and professor of psychology at San Diego State University. “These trends are weak or non-existent among adults 26 years and over, suggesting a generational shift in mood disorders instead of an overall increase across all ages.”
