[The NCAA now allows transgender females to compete in women's track events, and soon other sports. The big concern that needs to be addressed is not that the transgenders are setting new records for women, but that this makes no never mind to the officials now fashioning this new sports world, “Focusing on performance advantage is largely irrelevant because this is a rights issue. We shouldn’t be worried about trans people taking over the Olympics. We should be worried about their fairness and human rights instead.” (more here) gjr]

Another one of Trumps crooked pals going down. Doesn’t pay to be a friend of Trumps Todd.
“Israel’s attorney general on Thursday announced he will indict Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on corruption charges, local media reported.
Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit said he planned to charge Netanyahu with bribery, fraud and breach of trust. All charges are subject to a hearing, which will likely take place after a snap election to be held in April.”

From that other thread, this stuck: “deeply trauma-inducing”. Deeply trauma-inducing.
It all fits now. Mass Hyteria. TDS. Unhinged. Call it what you may, it’s all deeply trauma-inducting.
The students still in therapy six months after some prankster wrote the word ‘Trump’ in chalk on the steps on the university grounds in 2016. Banning chalk, including sidewalk art did not help. “Our campus no longer feels not feel safe, it may never feel safe again.” Deeply trauma inducting. The Brazilian lady who leaves her seat in a resturant and attacks a patron on the far side of the establishment for wearing a MAGA hat. Deeply trauma-inducting. The Kavanaugh hearings, the Coventry School boys standing on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Deep trauma-inducting.
Even the most understanding, the most slow to anger and gentle of spirits find it deeply trauma-inducing.

BTW, the reality of those ‘80% approve GND’ polls is always confirmed by how many Dems and with what intensity they claim affinity with GND as the election approaches. Public opinion is volatile, very hard to measure, and therefore overwhelmingly in error. As we know, pundits only believe the polls that favor their narrative.

In the “birds of a feather” category — Israel’s attorney general on Thursday announced he will indict Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on three corruption charges. It won’t be to long before Bebe’s good buddy trumpy will get the same…….
@10:05 am
“Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit said he planned to charge Netanyahu with bribery, fraud and breach of trust. All charges are subject to a hearing, which will likely take place after a snap election to be held in April.”
——————————-
Hmmm.
“Birds of a feather” analogy is spot on. Our previous administration (Obama) poured thousands of tax payer dollars into defeating Bebe, through NGOs of course. Plus the usual left wing non profit ‘advocacy’ groups. Really tried to influence the outcome the election big time.
When that failed, the left wing press in Israel went into a 24/7 railing against Bebe. Finally, they found a weak and partisan AG to investigate Netanyahu. Yesterday, Bebe was indicted.
The press and left wingers immediately called for Bebe to step down, saying the PM cannot govern under such a cloud of suspicion!! He cannot govern, it’s too much for the PM to bear with this hanging over him, the country. Remove him, now!!
Bribery? Corruption? Whatever you say.
Netanyahu, who he described as the “Churchill” and “Reagan” of that nation, was being charged for nothing more than accepting champagne and cigars, and for freedom of speech.
“[Y]ou’re going to indict the prime minister over cigars and champagne? And over what we call in this country freedom of speech? Because you don’t like the kind of speech he exercised? This is a death wish.
And what kind of a criminal justice system do they have in that country, when one man – an attorney general, can attempt to bring down a government, bring down a candidacy over cigars, champagne and free speech?” Pretty unbelievable. You know who is rooting for this attorney general? Not just the left in Israel, of course. Do you know who is rooting for this attorney general? The regime in Teheran. The regime in Damascus. The regime in Turkey. All the regimes that chant ‘death to Israel.’
In addition to those actors in the Middle East… the “appeasement Europeans” and the world’s antisemites who wanted to see Israel destroyed. The left in Israel is no different than the left in the United States. They put their party first, their ambitions first, and they put them before country.”
Birds of a feather is right.

82% never heard of it. Do you support green technology? Sure. Do you support clean air, clean water, transitioning off fossil fuels? Yes. Do you want to poison your neighbor’s well? Hell no. You you support jobs for the unemployed? Hell yes! Do you…

From Bobbie Sue’s The Hill, concerning the GND…or as Dr. Rebane pointed out, the RND. Vote Yea or Nay?
However, not all Democrats are on the same page.
Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), who once famously filmed a campaign ad in which he shot then-President Obama’s cap-and-trade climate proposal with a hunting rifle, said Wednesday he’s likely to vote “no.”
“I got to work with reality. I got to make sure we have the benefit of affordable energy,” Manchin said.
Asked about his colleague’s plan to vote present on the Green New Deal, Manchin responded, “They can do what they want to do. I’m not a present-type guy.”…..
At a time when polls show that Democratic voters are highly energized over climate change, some Democrats don’t think it’s smart to shy away from a bold proposal being touted by one of the party’s fastest-rising stars, Ocasio-Cortez.
“There’s some difference of opinion about whether it goes far enough or too far, whether it was rolled out in the best way,” Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) said of the Green New Deal.“
Hmmm. Probably don’t go far enough. There are still 41 million cattle in the US.

The only thing that was accomplished in Hanoi was Trump unilaterally giving away an American negotiating chit without getting anything in return. Kim Jong Un walked away with a pardon of murder. We got zilch. Amazing how the right doesn’t give a squeak about Trump pardoning Kim Jong-un for the murder of American student Otto Warmbier. A murder North Korea was convicted of in US Federal Court. America first?

I wasn’t at the meetings, but I can see the point of playing hardball. NK emperors (backed by a bunch of generals who will kill their ass given a chance) have played the US for decades. Bonus points for your sputter line in order to inoculate against the inevitable counterargument. One simple truth is that the 17 intelligence agencies, and the Presidents that they own, have let a fairly significant threat grow over time. US foreign policy in the past hasn’t done much good.
It’s not clear what to do.
It could be simply that a preemptive strike is the answer. Make sure that the Chinese and Russians are on board, and then annihilate the NK military, and probably 1/4 of their people. The tricky part is how to protect the SK capital.

First trump gives tacit approval for the Saudis to murder a journalist living in America and now gives the N. Koreans a pardon for murdering an American student and you declare it okay ’cause it doesn’t matter. How many matter? Who matters? If it didn’t matter, why did Trump hand out the pardon with no strings attached? We got nothing. N. Korea got to be on the world stage and they “won” by any conceivable metric.

“Republican Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio and Mark Meadows of North Carolina referred Michael Cohen to the Attorney General William Barr on Thursday, alleging that the president’s former attorney perjured himself in the course of giving testimony at Thursday’s hearing before the House Oversight Committee.
“Mr. Cohen’s testimony before the Committee on Oversight and Reform on February 27, 2019, was a spectacular and brazen attempt to knowingly and willfully testify falsely and fictitiously to numerous material facts,” the letter to Barr from Jordan and Meadows states.
“His testimony included intentionally false statements designed to make himself look better on a national stage. Mr. Cohen’s prior conviction for lying to Congress merits a heightened suspicion that he has yet again testified falsely before Congress,” the letter concludes.”

In the ‘this is why people think Republicans are racist’ category: the former governor of Maine, Republican Paul LePage who came under fire in 2016 for suggesting people of color in Maine were “the enemy,” has come out against legislation in Maine that would circumvent the Electoral College by stating that “Actually what would happen if they do what they say they’re gonna do is white people will not have anything to say…It’s only going to be the minorities that would elect. It would be California, Texas, Florida.” Proponents of the bill say the electoral college is a relic of slavery, designed to balance the power between slave-owning and non-slave owning states, at a time when African-Americans were considered 3/5s of a person and women didn’t vote at all.

Any pre-emptive strike on the PRNK military would probably result in the leveling of Seoul. NK has thousands of long range artillery pieces in hardened tunnels all along the border. They can open the doors, fire, and close the doors in a matter of minutes making it next to impossible to neutralize them. The best approach to NK is just to ignore the fat little bastard until his people wake up and revolt or face starvation.

Yes it is my cross to bear that I am so in demand. But it is my company, wit and looks that keep me busy with the gals. But it is fun.
Prostitution should be legal and I have always said that. BoobieC though would starve to death if he tried to charge those inmates.
And I spent most of today at the doctor with my ill brother. So I had to change numerous appointments. Paul And Boobie should meet to commiserate about their jealousies.

Fat Ugly Kid:
It’s terrible what happened to Otto Warmbier. Stole a poster. That’s what it is like in N Korea. People imprisioned for years with hard labor (w/ little to no food given to survive on) along with torture and frequent beatings for possession of a cell phone. Same for anti-government graffiti sprayed under a bridge. They will find you and if not, the will imprison your family. Even your aging parents. Been that way for a long time. We have had over 20 years of the best and brightest geo-political experts trying to figure it out.
The goal has been the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. I don’t see Korea simply giving up their nukes. Otto was released in June of 2017, which opened a crack in the door to new talks with the Hermit Kingdom. It’s what they consider a good gesture. Like clockwork, the North Koreans will threaten nuclear war and do their saber rattling when they want something. They haven’t fired off a test missiles since November, 2017. Tensions have lowered. Thermal nuclear war rhetoric has died down. The world and the market aren’t on edge. Probably the best we can hope for at the moment.
As the media gloated that the talks collapsed, it was not all a waste in the bigger picture. The door is still open. Kim wanted the sanctions lifted, Trump wanted them to tear down one facility. Kim said first lift the sanctions, Trump said first get rid of one nuclear facility. Kim said you first. Trump said “No Deal” and walked out. They will meet again.
Here is a truism: When you look into the eyes of N. Korea, you see the face of China. It’s complicated. It’s not bi-lateral. I agree with Dr. Rebane’s assement of the situation on Scattershots, hint, hint.
It won’t bring back Otto, but if it makes anybody feel better, I was all for going into Venuzula to pull Jorge Ramos out. A US citizen is a US citizen. But, then again, Venezuela is not protected by China and Russia and does not have enough non nuclear missiles pointing at S Korea and our troops to wipe out tens of thousands in the first hours in retaliation. Nor does Venezuela have the troops on alert, nor the subs.
Neither did Pakistan. At least Trump got Otto out…but it still is upsetting.

Trump says “I Could Stand In the Middle Of Fifth Avenue And Shoot Somebody And I Wouldn’t Lose Any Voters”
He keeps posting that over and over again. Well, there is a story behind that going back to the pre-primaries…where Trump got that line. I know, I know! I could not believe it either. Trump saw the same thing on TV that I saw on the web. I was laughing. A couple of days later, Trump mentioned it and changed the line to 5th Ave. Funny guy.
I won’t spill the beans. Too much fun seeing that squirmy wormy eat at his brain, month after month. What a crack news director! Post it over and over, please. Each time he does, I think of where that came from and grin ear to ear. An early indication in 2016 that conventional wisdom would take one hell of ass whoppin’.
Trump says “I Could Stand In the Middle Of Fifth Avenue And Shoot Somebody And I Wouldn’t Lose Any Voters”!!!!!!!!!!! Shocking!! Unbelievable!!

https://dailycaller.com/2019/02/28/pelosi-aoc-threaten-dems-vote-gop/
“Pelosi reportedly informed her party that members showing “courage” in such votes would be given a higher priority when it came time for them to run for re-election in 2020. The underlying threat was implicit in what she didn’t say: that those who lacked such “courage” might be left to fend for themselves.
“This is not a day at the beach,” the veteran Speaker reportedly told her caucus. “This is the Congress of the United States.” ”
These are Communist threats and tactics.
