It was difficult to ascertain to what degree Mudd was serious or exaggerating the depth of deep-state loathing of Trump.
Despite the predictions and expectations of nearly everyone associated with the establishment, in the first two years of his presidency, Trump has not resigned. He has not been impeached. He has not been indicted. He has not died or been declared non compos mentis. Trump did not govern as a liberal, as some of his Never Trump critics predicted. He had not been driven to seclusion by lurid exposés of his womanizing a decade earlier as a Manhattan television celebrity.
An administrative state, swamp, deep state, call it what you wish, was wrong about Trump’s nomination, his election, and his governance. It was right only in its warnings that he could be crude and profane, with a lurid past and an ethical necropolis of skeletons in his closet — a fact long ago factored and baked into his supporters’ votes.
At each stage, the erroneous predictions of the deep state prompted ever greater animus at a target that it could not quite understand, much less derail, and so far has not been able to destroy. By autumn 2018, the repetitive nightly predictions of cable-news pundits that the latest presidential controversy was a “bombshell,” or marked a “turning point,” or offered proof that “the walls were closing in,” or ensured that “impeachment was looming on the horizon,” had amounted to little more than monotonous and scripted groupthink.
Never before in the history of the presidency had a commander in chief earned the antipathy of the vast majority of the media, much of the career establishments of both political parties, the majority of the holders of the nation’s accumulated personal wealth, and the permanent federal bureaucracy.
And lived to tell the tale.

In the “what a surprise..NOT” category: a recent study published in the journal ‘Science Advances’ concluded that social media over 65 and politically conservative users shared nearly seven times as many articles from fake news domains as the youngest age group ages 18 to 29 years old. As GOP strategist Rick Wilson noted,
“when they read on RealEaglePatriotNewsBuzzfeed3000.ru and they see a story about Hillary being a robot lesbian they go awwooow. They love that stuff and they become addicted to it.” He added that this was the real problem behind the spread of fake news.

“We have just built this powerful Wall in New Mexico,” Trump tweeted Wednesday with a video showing workers and construction vehicles at the border. He said that portion of the wall had been completed on Jan. 30, some 47 days ahead of schedule, and that “many miles more” currently were being built.
However, it’s not true that the wall featured in the video had been “just built.”
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, whose logo appears in the bottom corner of the video Trump shared, actually produced the clip in September 2018, a spokesperson told veterans news website Task & Purpose. It shows “a replacement project” for a section of a barrier that was in place before Trump assumed office.

The H-1B program allows foreign visa-workers — but not spouses — to take middle-class jobs from Americans. But the H-1B salaries are very low, so the bonus program allows the spouses to supplement the family income. The extra income encourages the lower wage H-1B workers to stay in the United States instead of returning home after several years.
Roughly 100,000 bonus work permits have been issued via the program, which is dubbed the “H4EAD” program.
This bonus program was created by former President Barack Obama — without any approval by Congress — because many H-1B workers from India are leaving the United States. The Indians are leaving because they know they have to work and wait many years to get the real payoff for their low-wage H-1B work — a green card which would allow them and their extended families to move to the United States.
But each Indian H-1B who leaves opens up a middle-class job for an American graduate, marking another success for Trump’s Inauguration Day promise of “Hire American.”
Trump’s Hire American promise, however, is a financial problem for companies because Americans must be paid in dollars, not with government-supplied green cards.

Stephen Colbert, a middle-aged white guy whose TV show is a mandatory stop in the Democratic primaries, did a Sanders impersonation, saying, “Yes, like Dr. King, I have a dream — a dream where this diverse nation can come together and be led by an old white guy.”

Speaking of she who speaks with Forked Tongue, a quick reference into Bill’s Encyclopedia of Worthless Information reveals than Pocahontas’s (in)famous Pow-Wow recipe was plagiarized. The recipe in all actuality is French. The dummy plagiarized a French dish, ROFLMAO. Speaking of doubling down on culture appropriation! Like killing two birds with one stone….er….PETA says to say like “feeding two birds with one scone.” The truth shall set you free.

It’s open season on killing cops in CA. The same bunch that spit on returning vets are stilll spiting one those who risk all so they can burn their America flags and celebrate Cinco de Mayo. It’s what makes California such an awesome state.
“Hernandez-Morales, who lived in Napa, had been deported three times before 2011: twice in 2007 and once in 2010. Since 2011, ICE had issued four separate detainers for him related to arrests on suspicion of driving under the influence, battery on a peace officer, selling liquor to a minor and unknown probation violations, ICE officials said in a statement to The Chronicle.
None of the detainers — which were issued to the Napa and Sonoma county jails — was honored by jail staff, ICE officials said. Specific details of arrests and violations were not immediately available.
“This incident may have been prevented if ICE had been notified about any of the multiple times Hernandez-Morales was released from local custody over the last few years,” immigration officials said in a statement. “This is an impactful, scary example of how public safety is affected by laws or policies limiting local law enforcement agencies’ ability to cooperate with ICE.”
