I really meant Modesto or Madera, not Fresno. Fresno is about 200 miles from LA, Bakersfield about a hundred. Hope they stop at Anderson’s Pea Soup, or is that above Fresno? Maybe a spur to Taft from Bakersfield.

Speaking of Valentine’s Day, it’s the one year anniversary of the Parkland School Shooting. I really expected more protests and marches, a bunch of old Dems doing the sit-in resistant thing on the House floor room waiting for their catered meals, or at least David Piglet Hogg speeches replayed 24/7 like on MLK Day. But, noooooo. How lame.
Speaking of lame, are we going to have another Townhall to follow up on last year’s scarey gun confab? Talk about worthless as teats on a boar. Dr. Rebane told them and told them the facts of life. They did not listen. Now, one year later the long and thorough investigation of the shooting is completed and recommendations for Stoneman High and other public schools contained in the draft report are out. At least in good summary form.
Report recommends that the school have armed personnel on campus. More guns than just a “resource officer” riding around on an electric golf cart. Have some teachers, administrators, coaches, and even counselors ready to shoot back. More guns on campus, not less, is the answer.
Blame falls on school and the politicalized Sheriff of Coward County.
Double downing on lame is “listening to the children.” The Union said 200 students walked out in solidarity with the Parkland students. Then, on the Union’s Year In Review the last week of 2018, it said the young NU student quickly organized a walk out and 100 students joined him out the door. NU is what, 1,200 students? So, the fine young teenager (child?) got 8% to follow him? Not even one in ten? Why listen to him, he don’t know shat. 8% and the paper made it look like something big was going down, lol. And they gave him more air time at the Prevent School Shooting Townhall than they gave our knowledgeable and spot on Dr. Rebane. How lame is dat? Listen to the children my Aunt Petunia.

Kinda harsh but true. And you guys still believe in the Rasmussen Poll even though it was thoroughly discredited in the last election and was 9 points off the mark.

The Left has dropped any last vestiges of any pretense they care for sovereignty or who is allowed in here for any country of the world. They intend to deport no one, to prevent on one (with the exception of hardened criminals and those on the terror watch list) from coming in. They have proven, by this bill, they not only oppose stopping undeterred illegal immigration, they want to send billions to encourage it. Even to the point of rewriting the law of what the definition of a human smuggler is and make those smugglers exempt from criminal charges.

Thanks for the article, I read it a few days ago as it seemed to pop up lately. I always enjoy the teachin’ in the ghetto essays, there are a few out there.
It seems to me that inventing additional pretend college degrees was always in the cards. There are too many people who can afford post secondary education (especially with loans) and an oversupply of labor at that level simply doubles down on the need for the degree. Underutilized people in university have always been a good source for political unrest so expect more from that front.
Given that there’s likely to be less for Americans to do, from a combination of automation/mass importation of labor/pushing labor overseas, it seems to me that inner city K-12 schools will take on more of the purpose and trappings of prison. Basically, you keep poorly behaved people under your thumb via make-work and simple physical control over their whereabouts. There’ll be lots of handwaving about ‘education’, but the result is the same.
