[Well, does Mueller have anything on Trump and the Russians, or are he and his boys just continuing to manufacture crimes so that in the end they can point to some accomplishments, while hoping to distract all from the charter that gave rise to their commission?  Sure would like to see what he would have escrowed when I first suggested it.  gjr]

Yeah Cross, as a boxer I know losers when they have no punch left and resort to cute boxing tricks to win the vote of the judges. that’s the Circle of Jerks current strategy. Notice our host stays out of this and still has a little punch left. Usually that means the end is near. Note that Gregory has joined the circle and now has nothing to say of substance. Scenes-still has viability and can land a big one now and then. Of course being a boxer I won’t reveal when because that would be admitting a weakness to be later exploited. All and all the fight seems over for the COJ’s and Trump. they are waiting for the end of the last round but may resort for a plea of “no mas” and bail early.

Is anyone surprised the socialst dems copy the Russians, the Clintons had more Russian contact then the Trumps ever did –
The project’s operators created a Facebook page on which they posed as conservative Alabamians, using it to try to divide Republicans and even to endorse a write-in candidate to draw votes from Mr. Moore. It involved a scheme to link the Moore campaign to thousands of Russian accounts that suddenly began following the Republican candidate on Twitter, a development that drew national media attention.
“We orchestrated an elaborate ‘false flag’ operation that planted the idea that the Moore campaign was amplified on social media by a Russian botnet,” the report says.

    What’s your mensa score @528?

Insidious infiltration of government by special global warming interests –
In that scheme, Bloomberg funded a new “center” of the New York University School of Law, and the school provides the funding for certain attorneys to be placed within attorney general offices (OAGs) around the country with the sole purpose of pursuing litigation and other legal work related to climate change.
The payment for these attorneys includes their ongoing salaries, so that the OAGs are able to essentially add an extra full-time staff member without having to dip into their budget.
In August of this year, Horner and CEI published their findings on the efforts in a paper titled, “Law Enforcement for Rent.” Later, the Wall Street Journal editorial pages weighed in on the situation.
“The ethical problems here should be obvious. Private interests are leveraging the police powers of the state to pursue their political agenda, while a government official is letting private interests appear to influence enforcement decisions. None of this is reassuring about the fair administration of justice,” the paper said.
Horner and CEI have argued that it may be illegal in some or all of the jurisdictions for the OAGs to accept attorneys whose salaries are paid for by outside entities, because in most situations, an AG’s office is funded by the respective legislative body. And the funding mechanism is generally understood as a “check” on the law enforcement agency’s powers.
About a month after CEI issued its full report, the Free Beacon obtained a document showing that lawyers for the Oregon legislature analyzed the situation, and concluded that the outside funding of an attorney working within the Oregon Department of Justice was likely not allowed under state statute.

The mayor’s letter was first reported Tuesday night by KNTV. The television news station reported that court records say Brown was recently caught with heroin in prison and had two years added to his sentence, a detail not included in the mayor’s letter to the governor.
Sandra McNeil, the mother of the victim, said Brown does not deserve early release.
“I don’t think it would be justice,” she said. “She’s the mayor, so she’s got a little power, so she thinks she can get her brother out.”

Do you agree that in the ’18 mid terms the final results showed the Dems won 7 Governor races more than the Repubs, 40 house seats more than the Repubs and that the Repubs won 2 Senate races more than the Dems. Can we agree on that?

    Nate Silve speaks.
The famed statistician continued: “If you wrote out a list of the most important factors in the 2016 election, I’m not sure that Russian social media memes would be among the top 100. The scale was quite small and there’s not much evidence that they were effective.”
Platform-wide, there are something like 500,000,000 tweets posted each day,” Silver wrote. “What fraction of overall social media impressions on the 2016 election were generated by Russian troll farms? 0.1%? I’m not sure what the answer is, but suspect it’s low, and it says something that none of the reports that hype up the importance of them address that question and neither does Punchy.”

Very embarrassing to Trump for sure because because it was the Republican Senate that released their findings of Russian use of social media to influence the ’16 election. Bad day for Trump for sure from the Senate who did not support Trumps shutdown of the Government for lack of funding for the wall.
“Senate reports show scope of Russian election meddling
The Senate Intelligence Committee has released two reports detailing the breadth of the Russian social media campaign to sow discord in the United States.”

With a Judge named Chen, it makes sense.
.The original ban on this weapon—two rods tied or chained together—dates back to the Nunchuck Panic of 1974, when overanxious adults worried that the popularity of Bruce Lee’s martial arts movies would mean children mercilessly thwacking one another in the streets. Lawmakers reportedly believed the lure of nunchucks to be so strong that a private citizen could not be trusted to keep them safely locked away at home. No nunchucks for anyone, they said; nunchuck privileges revoked, you bloodthirsty monsters.”

Republican Senate up in arms about Trumps Syria pullout proclamation.
“GOP senators leveled blistering criticism at Vice President Mike Pence on Wednesday for President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw from Syria, with multiple Republican senators expressing outrage and frustration.
Pence was dispatched to the Hill as the administration began absorbing a torrent of condemnation from hawkish Republicans, who blasted the White House announcement that the U.S. and its allies have defeated the Islamic State in Syria and that some of the 2,000 U.S. troops battling the terrorist group will begin coming home. But though the criticism was directed at the president in Wednesday’s party lunch, Pence still endured an earful as he tried to make a presentation to the startled GOP about U.S. policy in the Middle East.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) told Pence he was “personally offended” to read about the decision in the news rather than hearing from the president or his aides. Graham has grown close to Trump and has generally praised him though he often criticized the president during the 2016 campaign.
“We’re going to hold the administration accountable for this decision,” Graham recounted telling Pence. “If Obama had done this, all of us would be going nuts because it’s such a bad idea. The job of the Congress is to hold the executive branch accountable. He’s the commander in chief, but he needs to be held accountable for his decisions. And I want hearings as soon as possible.”
Graham declined to say how Pence responded. Pence declined to speak to reporters after the lunch.

VETERAN TECH JOURNALIST Walt Mossberg said Monday he was leaving Facebook after 12 years of using the social media platform. “My own values and the policies and actions of Facebook have diverged to the point where I’m no longer comfortable there,” he wrote.
    – More revelations about Facebook’s policies and actions – namely, the New York Times reporting Tuesday night how the company gave other tech giants “more intrusive access to users’ personal data than” it had disclosed – appear to have prompted other journalists to ship. Vanity Fair’s Gabriel Sherman, the New York Times Magazine’s Nikole Hannah-Jones and MSNBC host Kasie Hunt tweeted yesterday that they were deleting Facebook.
    – Hunt wrote in a farewell Facebook post how she doesn’t “trust them any more” and issued a warning. “To anyone who uses this as a place to get news, I urge you: DON’T. At all,” Hunt wrote. “It’s bad for your brain, divides you from your neighbors, and it’s worse for democracy.”

A new low. LIBS do the dirty work, just to blame the Russians.
    https://dailycaller.com/2018/12/19/democrats-russian-bots-false-flag/
Democratic operatives created thousands of Twitter accounts posing as Russian bots in order to boost Alabama Democratic Sen. Doug Jones in the October 2017 special election by linking his Republican opponent, Roy Moore, to Russian influence campaigns.
The operatives, who were funded by liberal billionaire Reid Hoffman independently of Jones’s campaign, created more than a thousand Russian-language accounts that followed Moore’s Twitter account overnight, The New York Times reported Wednesday evening.
Hoffman gave the operatives $100,000 for their project, which included creating fake conservative Facebook accounts to dissuade voters from supporting Moore, according to the Times.
“We orchestrated an elaborate ‘false flag’ operation that planted the idea that the Moore campaign was amplified on social media by a Russian botnet,” the operatives recounted in an internal report obtained by the Times.

Yes, and of course not. I can’t say that they are any better than Google, etc. They all combine a pretty toxic brew of analysis of ‘customers, selling of data, and being in bed with the 17 intelligence agencies.
Facebook is EZ to use. Just install browser plug-in that turns off your feed, click on your friends or groups that are interesting, be fairly circumspect about what you stick on there.
My own take is that it’ll become increasingly important to keep a public and a private persona. Merely staying off-line will make you more suspicious to Paul’s buddies at the 17, so a vanilla public face will become more necessary. The Chinese are blazing the way here.
