[The Travails of Trump continue morning, noon, and night.  He and his family is daily indicted, convicted, and condemned without any evidence presented to the public save the constant repetitious ravings of progressive pundits who never retract anything, leaving their TDS audience believing that their offal is gospel.  gjr]

Paul’s socialism takes a BIG hit.
The law, known as Obamacare, was effectively nullified by the ruling. … Judge O’Connor ruled that, therefore, the mandate without a tax penalty attached was unconstitutional, and so too the rest of the law. “The court … declares the Individual Mandate UNCONSTITUTIONAL,” Reed judgment concludes.33 mins ago

Back from Stockton where I got to view a homeless encampment. What a mess.
Now we see the new state Legislature that has super-powers wanting to spend that rainy day fund. Not a chirp about homeless people or housing. My what a wonderful group.
Trump’s tax returns are not going to be exposed. Anyone that releases them has them illegally in the first place and can do some heavy jail time. And a person releasing them too. Trump has not committed any crime yet the pathetically ignorant liberals and talking heads are screaming TREASON! You cannot expect such stupid people as they are to be reasonable on anything.

This shows just how out of touch Progressives are.
“Today’s ruling is an assault on 133 million Americans with pre-existing conditions, on the 20 million Americans who rely on the A.C.A.’s consumer protections for health care, on America’s faithful progress toward affordable health care for all Americans,” Xavier Becerra, California’s attorney general
Heath care has NEVER cost as much as it does NOW. And the rat bastard has the brass ones to call it affordable?

Meuller released a 302 in court today as ordered by Judge Sullivan in the Flynn case. Odd, it wasn’t THE 302, just a 302 that made reference to the 302 the judge ordered presented.
Sullivan ain’t no dummie. He saw the same bunch riding roughshod over Ted Stevens. Got thrown out, but unfortunately after Steven’s death in an airplane crash.

Seriously Fish my term was and is Circle of Stupid not Paul’s alternative. Frankly the image of 12 angry men here in such a circle is one I choose not to envision.
But even more humorous is George’s contention that because we have not seen all of the evidence that is an indication that the portions of the evidence we cannot see doesn’t exist. That unseen evidence is sitting in the hands of prosecutors, federal District Attorneys, Grand Juries and State Attorneys General, and yet to be publicly revealed, which is how our justice system works.
The evidence that crimes have been committed is inherent in the numerous guilty pleas, indictments and yet to be released testimony. We will see it as people are charged, tried and in some cases enter agreements. Already there has been ample public evidence of obstruction of justice, perjury, bribery, campaign finance violations, tax fraud, and wire fraud to show this is by far the most corrupt administration in modern American history.
The fact that sycophantic supporters here are still on board with Mr. MAGA is proof of your rejection of all of your previously stated values and really just shows you never possessed the values claimed to begin with.
Here’s how this will end: Trump will resign in late 2019 or early 2020 but before the South Carolina primary, in exchange for immunity for himself and his close family.

I think that’s a fair criticism to some extent. Trump is not particularly conservative in the Republican Chamber of Commerce or Religious Right sense.
OTOH, it’s fun watching Team Blue stroke the Intelligence State/War Party’s knee and ask for some lovin’.
Generally, it’s hard to feel drawn to a group made up of John Brennan, Paul Emery, the Clintons, Google, the upcoming gerontocracy that’s going to be running the House.
My own take is that deeper loyalties and enemies are being exposed. The Right that is evolving will put up with a lot to simply save Western Civilization (which has had beaucoup forms of government policy) and the Left (the parts that aren’t simply self-interested tribal groups) desires the opposite. All the usual arguments about guns, healthcare, right to life/choice, environment, are being recast to suit the bigger clash.
Like it or not, the current flash point is mass movement of people from the Third World. Given demographics trends, you either end up with countermeasures or surrender.
Whether the Blue Mob retains it’s ability to tear down the old world remains to be seen. These things can go either way.

Walt, Adam Schiff can’t reveal anything that is presented in closed testimony in the House Intelligence Committee without the consent of the committee which is controlled until January 3, 2019 by Devon Nunes. If he reveals anything from closed testimony it is a violation of House rules and he can be removed.
We will see what he has when he controls the agenda of the committee in the next session.
Re: the campaign finance violations, or what you referred to as ‘the whore payoff,’we now have two of the three people in the room on the McDougal payoff publically testifying through agreements that the payoff occurred, was intentional, and was done with knowledge that it was a probable campaign finance violation. You can go read the agreements if you want to they are public record. The third person in the room was the President of the United States of America.
Yep, I love America and the American system of justice and rule of law, which means an accusation is not proof of guilt, but a statement is evidence my friend. So fine, let’s indict the President and let him stand trial.

Meanwhile, it tolerates open calls for political violence from the extremist left.
Research by Far Left Watch, which monitors left-wing extremism, found numerous examples of pro-violence left wing groups and individuals that have active Patreon accounts.”
Its founder according to Far Left Watch, Brett Anderson, was arrested in 2017 for disorderly conduct and obstructing police during a protest against a pro-Trump rally in Omaha.

    S. Frisch: “is so clearly the ‘nationalist right’ that it isn’t even close.”
    So?
It’s only in the last couple of years that ‘nationalism’ has come to be equated with ‘kill six million jews’ by Team Blue.
In truth, there are a lot of ways that nationalism can be expressed. The US was chock-a-block full of it until just recently.
Truth is, nations (and by that I mean ‘nations’, not states) are such a successful concept that your choice appears to be to belong to one or to be dominated by one. They aren’t just made up of a legal system and enforcement.

To be fair, I misquoted Mr. Frisch here. He is making a point that the thing tearing down the nation is the nation, which is something of an odd concept.
The new temptation for Team Blue is to make nationalism itself an evil. That’s in addition to ripping apart millennia (longer?) old concepts of gender, sense of history, in-group loyalty.
The economics arguments are besides the point. Heck, Bismarck was largely responsible for the German public health system. I’ll happily trade you a border for single payer.

Sorry Scenes but the current wave of American nationalism has some very troubling characteristics that make it look more like the rise of American fascism than just a quaint patriotic love of country.
There is a general disdain for human rights both home and abroad as evidenced by the growing divorce of American foreign policy from human rights values.
There is a general vilification of the ‘opposition’ though chants like ‘lock her up’ or George’s identification of all liberals as collectivists and communists, or vilification of others as not part of the American culture.
Within a sub culture of Americans there is a resurgence of socially acceptable sexism as evidenced by the plea for mothers to be more concerned about the 1% of sexual assault cases where their sons may be falsely accused rather than the 99% of cases where their daughters may be forcibly raped.
There is a renewed attack on the American media as the ‘enemy of the people’ despite being the only industry specifically called out in the Constitution for protection.
There is the dramatic increase in military budgets and increase in border enforcement (even though illegal immigration has actually declines).
There is the wrapping of leadership in a mantle of religion even though they are clearly actual antithetical to core Christian values, including the President. More specifically the gradual re-introduction of religion into public education and the use of public funds for religious private education.
There is the clear support for corporate power in tax codes and regulatory policy at the expense of labor and the people.
There is the increase in MAGA freaks disdaining science, intellectualism, and the arts, making dumb a fucking virtue. (Which makes me wonder what ‘western civilization’ George seeks to protect…the civilization of imbeciles and brutes?)
There is the increase in rhetoric about crime and specifically crime associated with anyone who is not a Christian white male, even though crime rates have also declined over the past several decades.
Finally, there is the insanely high level of government corruption and self dealing going right into the White House (heard Zinke is resigning today)
Yes, I took this from a common internet theme of the 12 signs of fascism….but hell, if the fucking fascist shoe fits, I am making you guys wear it.
Here is my plea to you…grow a pair and return to American values and history becaue you are looking a lot like Stalin’s crew.
    1. Powerful and continuing nationalism
    2. Disdain for human rights
    3. Identification of enemies as a unifying cause
    4. Rampant sexism
    5. Controlled mass media
    6. Obsession with national security
    7. Religion and government intertwined
    8. Corporate power protected
    9. Labor power suppressed
    10. Disdain for intellectual and the arts
    11. Obsession with crime and punishment
    12. Rampant cronyism and corruption

Schiff was not saying anything about any specific evidence either the House or the Special Counsel have, he was talking about what is already in the public record.

In the “collusion is a crime” category — former federal prosecutor for Clinton, Bush, and Obama, Seth Waxman says The federal bribery statute — 18 U.S.C. § 201(b)(2)(B) — makes it a federal crime for a public official to “collude” in a fraud on the United States. More specifically, the federal bribery statute expressly states that a crime is committed when a public official “directly or indirectly, corruptly demands, seeks, receives, accepts, or agrees to receive or accept anything of value … in return for … being influenced to … collude in … any fraud … on the United States.”
Trump has said “no collusion” hundreds of times. On September 13, trump passed the 5,000 lies or misleading statements mark. On September 7, trumpster the dumpster set a new single day record at 125 lies or misleading statement.
You know the story, if you tell a lie loud enough and long enough people will believe it. An assumption that has been proven time and time again on these pages with regard to numerous topics in the trumposphere.
