[The Travails of Trump continue morning, noon, and night.  He and his family is daily indicted, convicted, and condemned without any evidence presented to the public save the constant repetitious ravings of progressive pundits who never retract anything, leaving their TDS audience believing that their offal is gospel.  gjr]

Who cares what some fancy pants judicial panel says. The Dems will be busy impeaching Kavanaugh. It was a campaign promise made by many a Dem. 🙂

    Todd and fishy,
As you so often portray, the righties trade moral values for political victories. Who cares that the trump’s are goombahs. You won… America lost, which becomes more evident each day, but you won… Goody for you.

Pj BoobieC, you just don’t understand your own party. Anything goes and when you are caught you get a TV show. Now the R’s are a lot more ethical and we would not give you a TV show but maybe a poster in the Post Office. Your ethics and morals are laughable and you have no credibility here. If you want like minded people to massage your ego, head over to Pelline’s blog.

I wonder if they also want the Danish model on this –
Unlike neighbouring Germany and Sweden, Denmark has taken a tough line on asylum and integration since the Syrian conflict sparked Europe’s migrant crisis in 2015.
In October, Ms Støjberg rejected EU efforts to impose migrant quotas, saying “too few contribute” to the workforce — Denmark being known as a country with a high cultural value work ethic.
She is hardly a rogue element in the Danish government, with her rejection of the migrant quota being echoed the following month by the country’s prime minister, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, who said that it was “wrong” to force European Union member states to take asylum seekers.
The country has also introduced a series of integration programmes to stop non-Western migrants ghettosing in the Scandinavian peninsula, including telling migrants in high-ethnic neighbourhoods that their children must attend daycare from the age of one to learn Danish values or the parents face losing social security benefits.
In further efforts to foster integration, the government also vowed to demolish 1,000 houses in the Vollsmose migrant ghetto and relocate residents, after Prime Minister Rasmussen promised a nationwide crackdown on “parallel societies and the counter-cultures within.”

Lightening it up, engineer gets fun revenge.
“Rober created a device that would spray thieves with glitter and fart spray upon opening the package. He also installed four smart phones that would track the package location and record the encounter.
Several different thieves had a massive amount of glitter and fart spray dumped all over them and their surroundings.
One woman appeared to bring the device into her home and then curse repeatedly as she carried it out to the trash.”

“A new study has claimed Russia’s online interference tried to aid the conservative movement and Donald Trump. There’s a big problem with that assessment. It comes from a left-wing operation that previously classified more than 11 different conservative outlets as “junk news.” And two of those authors were also involved in this report.
The Oxford University Computational Propaganda Project had attacked several conservative outlets as “junk news” in previous studies. Those targeted outlets include Drudge Report, NewsBusters, CNSNews, MRCTV, Breitbart, the Daily Caller, Free Beacon, LifeNews, National Review, the Federalist, and the Red State. (Three of those are operated by the Media Research Center, which runs NewsBusters.)
The study on “junk news” drew on “a list of sources that consistently publish political news and information that is extremist, sensationalist, conspiratorial, masked commentary, fake news, and other forms of junk news.”

Wonder if Cross contributed to the report.

It came from the Republican Senate Bill.
Here’s a report from Fox News:
Shocking scale of Russia’s sinister social media campaign against US revealed
Russia’s influence campaign during the 2016 presidential election was a sophisticated and multifaceted effort to target the African-American community and sow political division among the public across social media platforms, according to new reports produced for the Senate Intelligence Committee.
One report, which is 100-pages long, provides new context and details regarding the large scope of the multi-year Russian operation and the nefarious tactics it employed to exploit divisions along race and political ideology in the U.S. on a range of social media platforms, including Google-owned YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and on Facebook-owned Instagram. The shadowy effort aimed to support the Trump campaign, denigrate Hillary Clinton, suppress the vote, sow discord and attack various public figures.

    ‘Sophisticated’
Meaning ‘beyond what lefty folk and green libertarians can understand’.
Or in other words – BS from the left.
Sorry you unintelligent folk are quick to the trick, but you might try thinking on your own for once.

Hey, cut Punchy a break. The whole Russian trolls farms thang has only been about one thing. No, not Trump or Hillary. That one thing, that goal of Russia is to sow doubt in the American people’s minds about the election. Division, distrust, discord.
The Russian Collusion thing is different. That was of Hillary & Co. own making, Told ya she was bigger that just the DNC or Dem Party.
So, the link is correct. Sow doubt about the integrity of elections. Hot button issue for sure. Mistrust. Heck, in Norway, the Russians will try to stir up the few real alt-Right White Nationals eating caraboo and play the same game. Don’t matter which side to the Russians. They play both sides. “You suck”. “No, you suck!”
Something Comey said way back when that stuck. Before he was fired. A candid moment. When asked about if there were clues to who done the hacking, he answered that it was almost like they didn’t even care or try to hide their tracks.
Bottomline: More data crosses the internet on social media and on-line newsfeeds in 5 minutes on any given day than the combined Russian social media and fake news stories did.
We ourselves made it too easy for Puti and some other foreign actors. Made it too easy. They didn’t have to barely lift a finger cause the place was ready to blow anyway.

When they start calling The National Review junk news, they lost any faith I might have had in them.
That study was also produced by Oxford and Graphika. Two of the people behind that study, “Junk News Consumption,” were involved in this latest study, “The IRA, Social Media and Political Polarization in the United States 2012-2018.” Philip N. Howard and John Kelly worked on both projects. On Twitter, Howard has posted that he is against the Second Amendment, and repeatedly pushed that Trump supporters and the Trump campaign work primarily through “fake news.”
Another member of the group that produced the study, Camille Francois, was a former employee of Google, working at Jigsaw as a Principal Researcher.
In the new study, one of the key findings was that the IRA accounts “spread sensationalist, conspiratorial, and other forms of junk political news and misinformation to voters across the political spectrum.”
Maybe you are confusing the two reports. One for the Senate, one for junk news.

Yep, we do don’t need Russian troll farms to divide the nation, pitting group against group. We got our home grown dumbies.

“We ourselves made it too easy for Putin and some other foreign actors.”
It isn’t like there’s anything new here. God knows how much propaganda and money the British, Israelis, Saudis, etc. etc. have pushed through US elections and the US legislative process. (and we theirs). The post-WWII US is the king of this sort of thing of course.
Making a big deal about some Facebook and forum posts by a group of people in some Russian .gov organization is just flat embarrassing on the face of it, but really it’s all about a soft coup and looking for any weak spot.
I view it all as a good thing. Before the crazy Blue Mob behavior of the last two years, the average person had no idea how biased major news organizations were. The minute you view the New York Times (or Google for that matter) as a functional equivalent to Breitbart, you’ve really gained a bit of wisdom. A secondary discovery is that even the street armies of Team Blue are in bed with the War Party.
Hopefully some of the public ignores the 17 intelligence agencies the next time a Gulf of Tonkin or overstated casus belli for an Iraq war comes up. They have their own foreign policy and it ain’t necessarily yours (although it appears to be the KVMR news crew’s).
