Those darn French have surprised me. Looks like Macron needs Mueller’s help to survive. Maybe Trump colluded with him?

As a result of losing its soul, France has also been losing its body—its people, communities, business, and infrastructure. Like the rest of the developed world, the French are having fewer children and compensate for the population loss by taking in more immigrants. Consequently, the Parisian slums keep expanding while French villages gradually disappear.
The lucky few French workers who actually have a job labor under heavier tax burdens and can afford little. Middle-class families are lucky if they own a small apartment, an economy car, and a set of cheap clothes from China. The luxury products sold on the Champs-Elysees and elsewhere are mainly for the rich.
The most striking sign of decline in France for people visiting, however, is the disintegrating infrastructure. The government will go to great lengths to keep its landmarks safe and relatively clean, but it cannot hide the graffiti that mars everything, from train cars to buildings. It also cannot extinguish the stench of urine, feces, and body odor from the homeless, permeating every public space. Even if the roads are kept up in most places (thanks to high fuel prices, high tolls, and light, fuel-efficient cars), the subways and trains are decades old and decrepit.
To make matters worse, French cities feature ghettos of unassimilated immigrants who pose an ever-increasing drag on the economy and culture. They do not speak French; they do not work; some of them follow Muslim Sharia law; and they make up much of the country’s poverty, crime, and terrorism (“no-go zones”). They also collect handsome taxpayer benefits. For this reason, the protesters are also calling for France to vote against the UN migration pact, an agreement that would undermine participating countries’ efforts to regulate migration.

On the up side, hordes charging the border finally proves that walls do indeed. work. On the down side, there is not enough wall.
“Univision anchor Jorge Ramos made a similar observation last week while he was at the migrant camp in Tijuana, Mexico. Ramos reported that migrants were becoming “more intelligent” and finding porous spots along the border that they could exploit enter the United States illegally.
“If you go five miles that way or 25 miles that way, the wall that you see behind me disappears,” Ramos said. “If they don’t see a legal possibility of applying for political asylum, they’re just going to go a few miles… [and] they are going to try to do it illegally.”

During the down time yesterday, I took the opportunity to browse the archives. I forget all the minute by minute blows that we no longer discuss endlessly. There was Trump using stolen e-mails to “enchance” his election. Enchance came after Trump used stolen e-mails to help his election. Then there was treason. Trump treason, but when someone said Clapper and a couple others from the previous administration should be tried for treason….oh boy, treason only applies to Trump’s treasonous actions with Putin. Nice walk down memory lane.
I figure Trump would have set up non disclosure agreements whether he was running for President or not. Like using stolen e-mails to help his campaign, guess non disclosure agreements, if used to help a campaign, is a big no-no. Wonder if internal polling is a no-no as well. It will all play out. Water finds its own level.
When the RR comment function went down, I figured it was just the Chi-Coms. It was the tread when everything shut down. S They have been monitoring everybody everywhere and there is plenty of proof they monitor people on social media on US soil…as well as e-mails, bank accounts, etc. No place is safe from the Communist bastards if you criticize them, at home or abroad. They are a ruthless bunch, mean mothers, and will slam you with the iron fist. Don’t tolerate dissent or opposing views. Their way or the highway….the highway to evisceration. Then I thought I could have been the Leftinistas. Leftinistas or ChiComs……ain’t much dfference between the two. I certainly can’t tell them apart.
I just love this pic of My Gal. The smartest woman in America. She should learn to lighten up and move on. Maybe grow a beard like Al Gore did after 2000 and teach a course at Harvard or something. Maybe New York City College.

Noticed they have not been bitching about the Devil Twins Koch Brothers from the Senate floor on a weekly basis ever since they realized the Koch Bros rather are partial to the liberal immigration policies such as catch and release. Chamber of Commerce wants us to take in all of them as well. Come to think about it, they haven’t been bitching vocally over Soros or Tom Steyer either. Guess they are a bitched out.
CA turning super majority blue has taken decades in the making. Compare Santa Ana in the shadow of Disneyland in the 70’s to the Santa Ana in 2014. Got much bigger and poorer. But, the real point is the CA R’s in CA had a pathetic ground game down south …and we can’t bitch if we got outspent and out hustled. Yes, they are fleeing the cities and spreading like gangrene, creeping even over the CA borders.
My sister once drove to Phoenix to stay a few days in the mid seventies and she said a couple of people were throwing rocks at her yelling, “Californians go home!” Then someone later was yelling “Californians go home as she pulled out of a supermarket parking lot, lol.
Somethings have remained the same, but you can’t convince the Progressies how most other states view them. Californian Lefties have given our State a bad name.
Do you know rare it is to lose the House and pic up seats in the Senate? Something like 83% odds against. And Oscar Cortex won her seat with something 18,000 total votes to her opponent’s 15,000 votes in a primary with around 19% turnout. She out hustled her incumbent opponent….and the district turned from a mix of ethnicities from the Ellis Island wave to something like 6-1 Latino in neighboorhoods in less than twenty years.
But, yeah, don’t hear too much wailing and gnashing of broken teeth over Citizens United lately. Maybe Oscar Cortez will bring attention to it. She will shake things up. I do like her idealism of youth. 🙂
That was then, this is now. How quickly minds change.

Don has apparently had his bell rung a few too many times.
Money quote (literally) – “I believe carbon emitters should pay the fuller cost of their effect on the environment we all share. And I like the idea of lowering the tax load on citizens, including, well, me. I like the projected increase in jobs, more money in people’s pockets, Democrats and Republicans working together to solve a real problem, a solution that would make an actual dent.”
Oh don’t worry, Don – they’ll be a dent all right.
What’s not to like? Those A-hole farmers, ranchers, truckers, construction companies and other producers of goods and energy will have to pay through the nose for being so evil. And then the govt will lower your taxes? And then there’s the ‘projected’ increase of jobs.
Can some one go over to the Union offices and see if Don is OK?
Even for him, this is off the rails insanity.

M 1212pm – So you think that the ‘caravan’ would have dissolved all by itself had President Trump not put up a good border defense? Doing the same-ol’-same-ol’ would have had all them migrants, after having made a couple of thousand mile dangerous trip to get to our border, when they got there they would have said ‘Aw shucks, just kidding, we’re going back home.’?? While that view is remarkable on its own, it is nevertheless completely consistent within the worldview you have displayed in these pages.

The caravan members of 6 thousand strong moved to the sports complex….well only about have half stayed there. Slipping out a night undetected and heading over near Calexico and crossing in smaller numbers. That “We are Here at the Door, Hear Us Roar” and “Here We Come, ready or not” plan didn’t work out for them. Surely they can’t catch all of us if we charge the border as a group all at once. Worked great at the Guatemala border and the Mexican southern border. The Surge done got repelled. Back to more tried and true method, Obama style. Well, on one hand the Dems can put the Russian Collusion away as they turn their attention to ILLEGAL campaign finance felonies…like not reporting the payment. Weak case, but make sure the word ILLEGAL is splashed across every talking point in bold print for awhile. Sure, we got to wait for the final report AND, more importantly, the IG report.
On the other hand, the investigation into the origins and our government’s promotion of the entire Russian Collusion story has barely scratched the surface. Unlike Meuller’s investigation, bigger fish are yet to fry. Comey is just a bit player. Moving on up.
When I want to read the truth and not hype, good or bad, I can trust Andrew MacCarthy to say what this latest hubbaloo actually. means. There have been so many false flags going up that (to be candid) I don’t bother even reading the stories lately.
“But when Cohen pleaded guilty in August, prosecutors induced him to make an extraordinary statement in open court: the payments to the women were made “in coordination with and at the direction of” the candidate for federal office – Donald Trump.
“Prosecutors would not have done this if the president was not on their radar screen. Indeed, if the president was not implicated, I suspect they would not have prosecuted Cohen for campaign finance violations at all. Those charges had a negligible impact on the jail time Cohen faces, which is driven by the more serious offenses of tax and financial institution fraud, involving millions of dollars.
“Moreover, campaign finance infractions are often settled by payment of an administrative fine, not turned into felony prosecutions. To be sure, federal prosecutors in New York City have charged them as felonies before – most notably in 2014 against Dinesh D’Souza, whom Trump later pardoned.
“In marked contrast, though, when it was discovered that Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign was guilty of violations involving nearly $2 million – an amount that dwarfs the $280,000 in Cohen’s case – the Obama Justice Department decided not to prosecute. Instead, the matter was quietly disposed of by a $375,000 fine by the Federal Election Commission.”

Russ 2:00 – It really doesn’t matter what you think about the ‘science’ of AGW. That debate will run endlessly. What gets me are people like Don claiming that taxing energy will be this big warm wonderful multifunctional blessing for the economy. There isn’t any debate there. If you raise the cost of extracting raw materials, raising crops, raising animals, manufacturing goods and on top of that – raising the cost of moving it all hither and yon, what happens to the cost of everything?
Maybe some one might get a little cash back, but if you want to eat and keep your house at something above 20 degrees in the winter you’re going to have to pay a lot more than anything you might get from the govt. It’s already been tried and it doesn’t work. Perhaps Don could catch up a little on the news from France? Or would that be too much for the lad?
And what does Don have to say about the green ‘leaders’ crowing that implementing these wondrous solutions will usher in the destruction of capitalism? Crickets.

Is it your belief that declining a Chief of Staff position is a sound career move?

Why would anyone want to work for Trump. This is what he said about his former Sec of state:
“Mike Pompeo is doing a great job, I am very proud of him. His predecessor, Rex Tillerson, didn’t have the mental capacity needed. He was dumb as a rock and I couldn’t get rid of him fast enough. He was lazy as hell. Now it is a whole new ballgame, great spirit at State!”
Trump is emotionally retarded. Who would want to work for him. Oh here’s an idea-Todd, you’re looking for a job. You will be a good fit with Trump.
