Hey….thanks for nothing Punch…..your four comments over at jeffys catbox screwed up my “Pelline Bingo” card.

So the San Jose Mercury News Editorial Board is the latest fascist group here in California. They attacked Mr. John, the SF Giants owner for donating to the woman Senator Smith in Mississippi. Disgusting. When these fools squelch free speech the place is really screwed.
The Governors that embraced the Trump agenda won Paul Emery. Those that did not fair badly.
The R’s have the Senate wich means we won as that is the “advice and consent” half of the Congress. The House will do nothing except have hearings to try and make people hate Trump.
It looks like you and the FUE are now buddies eh?

My point is that we can discuss and debate and be civil. Pelline does not discuss issues. Pelline attacks all folks relentlessly who harbor different views than his own. It is an Alinsky tactic to demonize your opposition in an effort to tangentially discredit their ideas. Such attacks fly in the face of what makes America great – free exchange of ideas – and did not fit with the values of our community paper or the values of our small town. Make no mistake about it; Pelline is not a journalist. He is a liberal propagandist. He unfairly and endlessly attacks Paul and George, because Paul and George value the free exchange of ideas – the great debate. Further and as fish aptly points out, Pelline couldn’t run the local paper and now he lectures Paul on how to run a community radio station? Please Jeff. Paul would be better served by taking advice from Donald Duck.

That’s from “Fish”, someone who won’t use his real name and doesn’t even live here. I guess there is no local action to keep him busy wherever he lives or perhaps he subscribes to Utah Phillips adage that “a bear doesn’t shit in his own back yard”

The FUE is just a sad sack looking for attention. Cheezewiz makes a person woozy I am told. If anyone wants to see why American “journalism” is dead look at the Mercury News Editorial attacking the Giants owner and the Mississippi Senator.
So don’t fret about the FUE and his three loony commenters and numerous female sock puppets. Nobody cares.

Hey Punch…..did you know that the internet is changing the way we communicate?
Something that both you and jeffy don’t seem to get……I really have little to say about issues local to your immediate area! There are a ton of places you don’t live but yap about constantly!
If living in an area is necessary to comment then STFU about state matters in Sacramento. And you should completely shut up about matters national.

No Punch, your comment above suggested that if you don’t live in an area that you shouldn’t comment about it or discuss matters with those who do. A childish idea…..but not surprising given the sources (you and Pelline).
If this is something you truly believe you should probably restrict your discussions to Nevada City/Grass Valley topics exclusively and let your political representatives handle matters in the surrounding areas and at the national level. Of course they can report back to keep you abreast of progress on these issues when they hold Town Hall meetings or send political correspondence to their constituencies.

You gotta cheer fish considering the general vermin that have infested our Government. The Repubs have to get it together to remain a competitive party and clean house or we will be left with a one party country agaqin, this time it will be the Dems turn.
Come on Todd, get to work rebuilding the Repubs to become a viable party. You can start with boosting Assemblyman Dahle, a respectable viable Republican Assemblyman from the North State. He is the future, if there is any, of the Republican Party in California. I don’t necessarily agree with everything he supports but I respect him as an intelligent viable representative of his constituents.

Nevada County is an exemplar of the spread of liberalism into America’s comfortable, clean, and traditional hinterland communities that are yet untrammeled by the sewage (aka San Francisco values) from the cities. Here we now experience the importing of human detritus – indigents, drug addicts, criminals – that is the inevitable second wave of such out-migrations from the bleak, crowded, and burdened urban areas that were created, grown, and sustained by decades of progressive policies and governance.
Here we are daily witness to the up-close and personal details of such a putrefaction process that is heartily supported by the now ensconced early arrivals of the liberal contingent, one that can still deport itself in polite company and get elected to community leadership positions.
RR welcomes all voices from other communities to bear witness to our travails in the hope that they can better husband what remains dear where they live.

The Webster definition of putrefaction is:
the decomposition of organic matter especially : the typically anaerobic splitting of proteins by bacteria and fungi with the formation of foul-smelling incompletely oxidized products.
Can you use another descriptive that will be more realistic to embrace in the spirit of meaningful conversation?

You can’t make this stuff up! Now “fish” is scolding Paul for suggesting it seems odd that he is so focused (and invested in time) on the issues and personalities in a small community where he doesn’t even live. Gee, imagine that!
I realize that reading and the written word isn’t your strength (unless it’s printing on the Oreo bag) but as I told Punchinello I don’t spend much time discussing your local issues. I’ve been in Georges little “community” long enough to enjoy the comments and personalities of some of those who comment here. I know that you probably haven’t given it much thought but the internet is changing the way we communicate. You should look into it.

PaulE 1229pm – ‘putrefaction’ was carefully chosen to bring into the reader’s mind the societal analog of its original organic definition. I do think you get the idea, and hope that you can work with that, or the choice of another term that doesn’t lose my intended semantic of breakdown and decay. Looking forward to your response to my 1214pm.
fish 1240pm – I’m a bit amazed at the above comment stream’s report of ongoings on the FUE’s blog. Represent the citizens what a novel concept –
“This trend must be reversed if the United States is to survive as a constitutional republic,” Gaffney said. “Let’s start by finding out how many of those here are American citizens.”
In a Rasmussen Reports poll, nearly 2-in-3 likely voters, or about 66 percent, said the U.S. Census should ask respondents whether they are citizens of the country. Only about a quarter of Americans said they opposed the citizenship question on the census.
Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach has noted the citizenship question on the census is necessary to further implement congressional apportionment based on the citizen population rather than the current rules that base state representation on the total population — including citizens, illegal alien residents, legal immigrants, and nonimmigrants on visas.
Should congressional apportionment be based on the number of American citizens in each state — which is only possible through asking the citizenship question on the census — Democrat-strong coastal areas with large foreign populations like California and Florida could lose representation, while states with small foreign populations like Wyoming and Ohio would likely gain representation in Congress. Such a rule change would shift power from coastal states to the heartland of the country.

Election Fraud Hearing Could Change Outcome Of North Carolina Vote
The Republican candidate leads his opponent by 905 votes
North Carolina election officials have agreed to hold a public hearing into alleged “numerous irregularities” and “concerted fraudulent activities” involving traditional mail-in absentee ballots in the 9th Congressional District, apparently in two rural counties.
The state elections board voted 7-2 on Friday to hear evidence by Dec. 21 before deciding whether to certify the result.

Institutional bias at work here and a narrative fail for the pony tail of ignorance –
The Federalist, which first caught NPR’s lie, points out that:
In fact, Senate investigators were asking Trump Jr. about a series of efforts to develop property in Russia, going back several years. Reporter Phil Ewing (reporter Tim Mak contributed to the story) conflates one of those efforts with another separate effort. That conflation results in the false news report.
The “certainly not ’16” remark from Trump Jr. pertains to a Trump Tower deal in Moscow involving another party.
The truth is that when asked a direct question about the Trump Tower in Moscow deal that pertains to Cohen’s testimony, Trump Jr. gave a direct answer that in no way contradicts Cohen’s testimony:
Q: It’s been reported that in late 2015 or 2016 when now President Trump was running for office the Trump Organization was pursuing a plan to develop a massive Trump Tower in Moscow. Is that accurate?
A: Yes.
Trump Jr. also offered to provide investigators with the letter of intent signed by his father.
Only after the false story remained published for most of Friday, did NPR finally issue a weasally correction
