    Of those who know that these things exist, can someone give a cogent definition of ‘hate speech’? Some confusing ones –
    “Hate speech is speech that attacks a person or group on the basis of attributes such as race, religion, ethnic origin, national origin, sex, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity. … In some countries, hate speech is not a legal term.”
    “speech that attacks, threatens, or insults a person or group on the basis of national origin, ethnicity, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability.”
    “speech expressing hatred of a particular group of people”
