[I voted for John McCain in 2008, even though I considered him a weak entry by the Republicans. But he was a man who had fought the good fight for America, and was a military hero in the true (old) sense of the word. While not agreeing with all of his politics – especially that climate change should be a national security issue for the US – but he did hew sufficiently to the conservative views on property, security (e.g. US as world's white hat hegemon), and liberty. His parting shot at President Trump will assure that his funerary plaudits will make political history. Thank you for your service, and RIP Senator McCain. gjr]

The sex thing with sheep, etc keeps coming up and then receding. When it is revived, then everyone jumps in to make their latest contribution. I find it interesting to note who is the one who reintroduces the topic from time to time.

So Todd you agree with Bill who claims Greeks and Scots have sex with animals. You have added Druids to the list.
It was hate talk because first of all it’s a lie and secondly it’s aimed at demeaning a specific culture and nationality. Can’t figure out why someone as intelligent as Bill has to stoop to that level. Now we have Walt and Todd and supporting him. Anyone of Scottish or Greek heritage has to be disgusted. Out host should not allow hate talk on his blog.

Stories from the swamp –
Jonathan Moffa, who worked with controversial former FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, testified last Friday behind closed doors before the House Judiciary Committee and House Oversight Committee.
The source with knowledge of his statements confirmed to Fox News that Moffa said FBI personnel would use media reports based on information they leaked to justify applications for Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrants.
The source told Fox News that Moffa acknowledged this “had been a practice in the past.”

Somehow “rent control” has been legalized in this free country. I am all for a landlord getting the fair market rent for his property. How these rent control people can live in America and support such a communist program makes me see how far they have strayed from freedom. Besides NYC is Little Moscow pre 1991.

Yeah, I saw that. It seems to me that if you want to bail out the boat a little bit, fire everyone in the FBI that is involved in ‘counterintelligence’ (a better name than they might think). It likely makes very little difference in the long run and is heavily politicized. It is probably time to start over on some of those agencies. Generally, my opinion is that the threat from intelligence agencies is higher than the threat from foreign intelligence agencies. The GRU steals plans for airplanes, the TLAs want to run your life. They simply can’t help it.
Personally, I’d repurpose the NSA into an agency that thinks about the security of computers, not breaking into them.

Probably not the first two groups as they are protected. There’s open season on the white folks but I expect they’ll simply tribe up as a result.
As an aside (ie. not to Crickets), you can make a (more than) strong argument that civil disruption is a natural side effect of times and places where ‘nations’ and ‘states’ don’t overlap.
Just enjoy the ride. Like one of those dead Roman guys said: “You have power over your mind – not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength”

I’ll get to that question in due time . Todd I want to give you an opportunity to right yourself from the perception that you are engaging in hate talk about the Scots and Greeks. Can you document you’re belief that those nationalities engage in sex with animals with some kind of scientific observations that could illustrate you’re position. Also Todd you write, and I quote you:
“Those Greeks and Scots knew how to have a real party without women being present. Paul’s Druids did the same thing. Now we have a little critter that takes a shot to get rid of.”
Can you provide some documentation on the party scene you refer to also the “little critters” that need a shot. If you can document those statements you’re off the hook.

When Lynn Kaufer Hodson was bitten by a triatomine, also known as a “kissing bug,” she couldn’t even feel it. It wasn’t until a large, itchy lump appeared on her neck the next day that she realized some type of pest had sucked her blood.
Hodson had been staying with family in a camper on her ranch in Grass Valley, Calif., in November 2016 while she waited to move into her new home in Penn Valley — a town that was a roughly 30-minute drive away.
At first, Hodson just believed a spider or mosquito had bitten her while she was staying in a fifth wheel camper. But weeks went by, and the bite mark continued to throb and itch.

Hey the po’ ol’ fakenewsman is on par with the NYT now, or is it the other way around?
Trump is right. The New York Times is wrong.
Even a deal between the U.S. and Mexico that leaves out Canada would be the largest trade deal ever. When NAFTA was put in place, trade between the U.S. and Canada and Mexico combined amounted to less than $400 billion, less than trade between the U.S. and Mexico today.
Last year, the European Union and Japan concluded a trade agreement touted as “the world’s largest free trade agreement.” The total trade in goods between the EU and Japan, however, is just around $150 billion.
The New York Times points to the Trans-Pacific Partnership as a larger agreement but Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and Donald Trump all opposed U.S. signing on to that agreement. While still a big agreement without the U.S., it is no longer a Goliath. It’s sans-U.S. version now covers just 14 percent of global gross domestic product, less than that covered by an agreement between U.S. and Mexico.

Does Lanny Davis have a collusion problem?
“Lanny Davis, the longtime Clinton confidant who is also the attorney for former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, is on the payroll of a pro-Moscow Ukrainian oligarch with direct ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) records reviewed by Conservative Review, Davis is an active registered foreign agent for Ukrainian billionaire Dmytro Firtash. A review of his social media records shows that Davis has never tweeted about his Ukrainian client, seemingly preferring to advocate quietly for Firtash, who faces enormous legal issues in courtrooms across the world.
Firtash is not merely a corrupt businessman who owes his success to one of America’s biggest adversaries. He is also deeply tied in with elements of organized crime in Eastern Europe. According to Foreign Policy, Firtash is a longtime business partner of Semion Mogilevich, who has been described by the FBI as the most dangerous mobster in the world.
While Lanny Davis is representing Michael Cohen pro bono, his primary source of income appears to come from a man who is currently a top priority for U.S. authorities. Davis has quite the client on his hands. The longtime Clinton confidant has spent the last four years of his life fighting in court for a man who owes all of his success to a Russian autocrat, who is also deeply connected to a worldwide criminal network.”

Let’s see what I I missed in the news today.
1) Started the morning listening to Laura Ingrahm about the McCain-Trump hype. She said they despised each other and the media spent all day yesterday bashing Trump for not honoring the man by sending condelances to the family, absent nice words about. McCain the man. Then Trump released another tweet honoring John McCain.
Laura said now that Trump said nice things about McCain, the media will tear into him for being a hyprocrite or something and twist it to make Trump look bad. He can’t win. Just then, she started laughing. No sooner did the words come out of her mouth than the MSNBC’s feed was about how Trump’s latest tweet was taking the spotlight from McCain and making it about Trump, lol.
2) Saw that ABC finally mentioned the trade deal with Mexico, giving the topic 37 seconds.
3). MSNBC slams Florida gun laws after latest shooting, gun was bought in Maryland.
4) Vogue is rebranding Stormy Daniels, painting her a formative foe for Trump. CNN paints Stormy as working Mom, “Perfect Adversary” to Trump. Hmmm. Talking points sound the same.
5) CNN tries to weasel out of taking responbility for Trump Tower story.
Guess I did not miss anything.

Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!
A federal appeals court on Tuesday said printing “In God We Trust” on U.S. currency is constitutional, citing its longstanding use and saying it was not coercive.
The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in St. Paul, Minnesota rejected claims by 29 atheists, children of atheists and atheist groups that inscribing the national motto on bills and coins violated their First Amendment free speech and religious rights.
While other courts have allowed the motto’s use on currency, Circuit Judge Raymond Gruender said it also did not constitute an establishment of religion under a 2014 Supreme Court decision requiring a review of “historical practices.”
Gruender said the Constitution lets the government celebrate “our tradition of religious freedom,” and that putting the motto on currency “comports with early understandings of the Establishment Clause” without compelling religious observance.
“In God We Trust” began appearing on U.S. coins in 1864 during the Civil War, a period of increased religious sentiment, and was added to paper currencies by the mid-1960s. ((https://www.treasury.gov/about/education/Pages/in-god-we-trust.aspx))
President Dwight Eisenhower signed a law making the phrase the national motto in 1956.
