[Well, psychiatrists are beginning to report running into more and more patients with Trump Anxiety Disorder (TAD). TAD seems to be particularly prevalent among those lefties who have suffered from TDS. The Hill reports on it here. I guess the human noggin' can stand only so much hate and discontent before it succumbs to a clinical condition. Should TAD sufferers still be allowed to vote? gjr]

Fair enough idea L but what is Trumps plan other than to shut down the government to force taxpayers to foot the bill. Typical big mouth politics from our Liar in Chief.

Koch Bros? Are they the ones Senate Majority Leader ralled against on a daily basis trashing their asses and making them out to be the most wretched of all human beings on Earth day after day, month after month? They were the reason the Dems lost the House! The Senate Majority Leader blamed all the ills in politics and corrupting our political system on the evil rich Kock Bros, lol.
It’s kind of cool that you can lie your ass off and make stuff up while slandering private citizens with impunity and immunity if you say it on the Senate floor. The most horrid of humans are the Koch Bros according to the Dems at the time. So was Romney. They all are bad people destroying our non-Dem democracy! Guess that’s where Hillary got her “blame others” talking points.
The Cold War 2 is interesting to watch. Yep, it’s true. Politics make strange bedfellows. They love Stormy because it gives them an opportunity to trash Trump. no other reason. Same with their new found love for the Industrial Military Complex, McCain, that other AZ Senator Flake or Fluke, Comey, and the CIA, ROFLMAO. I love TAD. Like I said, every Dem on the planet was screaming for Comey to get run out of town….until the moment Trump fired him.
“As of two months ago, Sen. Reid has referenced the Koch brothers — and their “immorality,” their “radical philosophy,” their “lies” and their dreams of “Koch-topia” — 134 times from the Senate floor. On one occasion, Reid said that the Kochs “are about as un-American as anyone I can imagine.”
Senate Democrats recently walked back a proposed constitutional amendment that would restrict the spending and speech of big players like the Kochs by repealing part of the First Amendment.”
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/harry-reid-beware-the-cult-of-koch
“In a year during which little of consequence is being done in the Senate, hardly a week goes by in which Reid doesn’t take to the floor to attack the Kochs’ influence in politics. Since late January, Reid has mentioned the Kochs in 22 separate floor speeches, calling them out about 250 times, either by name (including referring to them as “ Charlie and Dave”) or allusion (“ two power-drunk billionaires”), and blaming them for all manner of ills including holding up aid to Ukraine.”

Did you know the Koch Bros are one of the main culprits of Global Warming! We are all going to die….if the tax reform don’t kill us first.

Once again, the oh-so progressive, oh-so enlightened Seattle City Council is showing the rest of the country what not to do. The idealistic leftists who control the Council are wasting millions of hard-earned taxpayer dollars in failed attempts to solve problems the Council members created.
All this is turning Seattle into the poster city for the failure of Big Government. The city best known for fish markets, coffee stores, rain and flannel-wearing musicians is now becoming legendary for its incompetent leadership and its financial boondoggles.

Yah, ‘cuz the Koch Brothers are a trustable sort of family. lol. OK dude, so now you’re in the same corner as Koch, the FBI, Pelline, Facebook, and the Germans…but against roughly 1/2 the country.
It might be worth reconsidering your position.
Earlier, there was a ‘Crickets’ question about whether there was anything Trump has done (or not done, I suppose) that we disagreed with.
I’ll take that on. There was a certain amount of handwaving about healthcare and the ‘beautiful’ new plan, and nothing happened at all. Assuming that the President is in charge of such matters as opposed to Congress, I can’t see that there’s been any movement at all aside from removing the fine for non-coverage (the fine/tax actually made sense to me given peoples’ ability to go the emergency room without coverage).
Massive underperformance in that area. I’m not sure at all would a good approach would be. I have my own prejudices there, but these are non-trivial systems.

Sorry, but I have to vent. No, it’s not about all the trash those low life bums leave piled high in their camps in our towns or illegals leaving piles of plastic jug waste in our protected wetlands, or even all the trash left discarded everywhere Progressives group together.
No, it’s the CA straw ban.
As a person who thinks litterbugs should be castigated (or sown shut) and hung by their thumbs until death do us part, I don’t like looking at plastic litter. Think it is repulsive and beyond anti-social, so I have kept pretty much mum on the topic. But, it’s getting too much and I cannot remain silent any longer.
Darn near every internet site I go to, darn near all of my favorites have been ruint by this straw thang. I have to scroll past pages and pages of straw memes to get to just one non-straw meme or non-straw topic. I hop from one site to the other and it’s the same song, different verse. Gotta scroll page after page of those CA straw ban memes. We have become the laughing stock of the nation. It was bad before, but now it’s been put in overdrive.
Name any noun (person, place, or thing) and there is that noun with a straw mocking the California straw ban. Some good, some lame, but mostly pretty good….and by the hundreds upon hundreds. It’s like some kind of national pastime or new fad sweeping the nation. CA bashing because of a stupid straw.
The problem is it has become relentless. Like half the entire nation has jumped on the bash Krazy Kalifornia bandwagon with much gusto. It’s becoming work just to get past them and more are arriving every second…by the dozen.
Yes, I get it. CA decriminalized knowingly giving HIV to someone and in turn criminalized knowingly giving a straw to someone. Yes, you can discard your hypodermic needles on the streets of SF, but not straws. And you can even make straws with markings that look like hypes so you won’t get caught (busted) with the dreaded straws. And cops chasing black folks with the SWAT Team closing in because some black teen had a straw in his back pocket. Enough!
This meme was the final straw for me. I gone got triggered.

It appears to me that Senator Hirono only read the briefing material prepared by her staff, who probably never grokked that the Trump zero tolerance was a form of resistance by enforcing the law as is. OK, so people are showing up with kids who might be theirs and demanding asylum… we’ll take them in, the ‘parents’ go to adult criminal detention (separate mens and womens facilities) and the kids go to the kiddie safe place.
I’d heard that DNA testing had been started to insure parents were Parents of the children they claimed were their own… anyone hear of results?

Gregory.
The only thing I heard was an outcry from the usual no borders advocates having a fit because ICE (or HHS) was telling those who came to pick up “their children” were told they had to pay for the DNA test. That is outrageous! The poor things. They only paid 6-10k for a smuggler to sneak them in and now they have to pay for a DNA test. It should be free, like in free stuff. I often wonder how those poor impoverished people can scrape together 300 hundred dollars (US), not to mention thousands of dollars. And there are thousands upon thousands of them with a wad of cash to pay the freight. Interesting.
How the DNA testing is working, I do not know. Now here is a dilemma. An illegal alien father was caught in the desert with his minor child, a female. They done got separated. When the dad went to get his daughter, we refused to let the father take custody of the minor. Why? Because the father has a previous rape conviction on his criminal record. So, should we release the daughter to her rapist father? Oh, what to do, what to do. I reckon we are responsible for the child’s health and safety, are we not? Liability concerns and all that.

I have picked up on a nuance to the ripping children out of their mother’s arms narrative…concerning the DNA testing. Instead of saying we will release the children to their parents, ICE is now saying we will release the children to their parents….or legal guardian. Parents are nowhere to be found, probably an unaccompanied minor.

This is lookoing more and more like Watergate with Cohen sure to flip (ala John Dean) and Woodward writing a book on Trump
‘Everyone talked with Woodward’: Trump White House braces for new book
Unlike previous administrations, this White House had no process for making officials available to the legendary reporter.
“The result is what often happens in Trumpworld: Senior officials acting as lone wolves concerned with preserving their own reputations spoke to Woodward on their own – with some granting him hours of their time out of a fear of being the last person in the room to offer his or her viewpoint.
As one former administration official put it: “He hooked somebody, and that put the fear of God in everyone else.”
Another former official added: “It’s gonna be killer. Everyone talked with Woodward.”

PaulE 327pm – First, you have to understand that rough-shod guns can be made by almost anyone handy with tools in their own garage shop. These will not be weapons that can fire hundreds of rounds accurately, but they will be sufficient to walk up to people in a crowd and shoot them. Today’s 3D guns are of about the same quality. I don’t understand how these vs shop guns can pose any more threat to national security; in fact, it’s hard to conceive that any such handheld firearms will impact national security. Given the 2A, it’s not illegal to make your own gun. I suppose if you start making them by the dozens and selling them, then you will violate federal firearms laws, especially by being an unlicensed dealer. Bottom line, I think 3D gun printing is just a political football for the Dems that is not going to affect existing gun laws.
Now if 3D printers become cheaper, faster, more precise, and can handle more kinds of durable materials, then there will be a problem. But the problem will not be limited to firearsms, all kinds of patented, copyrighted, proprietary parts and components will hit the markets causing a lot anxiety in the usual distribution channels. Plausible endpoint, at some point if you need something new or to repair something, you’ll have a chance to make it in your or your neighbor’s garage.

DB at 5:07 – did you notice what the lefty hero-ette said about Afghanistan?
“I’m trying to change my country’s rules. I don’t like them. It’s not right to send people to hell,” she added.”
Hell, Hell hole, what’s the dif?
Trump says it, he’s evil. Leftina says it, she’s a brave little warrior.

Gregory: “Paul, what about 2D printed guns? ”
It seems to me that you could only build a muzzle loader in 2d. A breech loader would fall in half.

Now that I think of it, how could you not get a thrill going up your leg from the thought of 3D PRINTED bump stocks?
They can go in the corner with the oil filter suppressors.

George at 5:28 – You’re wasting your time trying to educate Paul. He doesn’t understand the technology, he doesn’t understand the law, he doesn’t understand fire arm production and he certainly doesn’t understand common sense.
The data to ‘print’ a fire arm is already being passed around on cheap thumb drives by the thousands. The genie is out of the bottle. You can’t shove him back in.
Maybe Paul can go down to the Fowler Center and picket the hardware store. They sell 1/4″ pipe! Hasn’t Paul ever heard of zip guns?
And he calls hisself a ‘libertarian’.
What a complete joke.
Right now – the easiest way to get an illegal fire arm is to buy one on the street. Brought in through our border-less border (yea, lefties!).
Way faster than watching a 3-D printer make it’s millions of motions to produce an inferior plastic pop gun.

Yesterday’s quotes….with Bobbie in mind. And yeah, even a straw quote:
The Gipper: “The government is not the solution. The government is the problem.”
Braying Jackass: “Here’s the bottom line: The United States was attacked. The United States was attacked by Russia. No, it wasn’t like Pearl Harbor. It was a cyberattack. It was a disinformation campaign. But we were attacked. And there’s this investigation to find out what happened. … And there are a whole bunch of people in Washington who are trying to prevent the investigation from going forward. I mean, imagine if somebody tried to prevent the investigation into how Pearl Harbor happened from going forward. You would say that person is not being not patriotic.” —CNN’s Jake Tapper

Hypocrisy: “[George] Orwell, what he wrote, it’s practically a shooting script for Donald Trump. There is a method to this, and the method is to convince people that ‘the only truth is the truth that comes from me,’ the ultimate power. … He wants to move us completely into the post-truth political era in which there’s no such thing as objective facts.” —fake newsman Dan Rather
Hyper hypocrisy: “We have a responsibility to protect our borders. All of our borders. … Democrats have been strong on that point. … When we had the 9/11 incident and the commission was formed, and … they made recommendations to protect America, but the Republicans would never take them up. And some of it was about our borders. The Republicans would never take them up.” —Nancy Pelosi
Village Idiots: “White people — including me, including you — must take into the marrow of our privileged bones the truth that ALL black people fear for their lives DAILY in America and have done so for GENERATIONS. White people DO NOT have equivalence for this fear of violence. Given those givens, we must ask our (white)selves — how ‘decent’ are we really? Not in our intent, but in our actions? In our lack of action?” —actress Anne Hathaway
And last… “Unfortunately, banning straws won’t actually stop California Democratic officials from sucking.” —Ben Shapiro
