   Russian National Charged in Conspiracy to Act as an Agent of the Russian Federation Within the United States
   A criminal complaint was unsealed today in the District of Columbia charging a Russian national with conspiracy to act as an agent of the Russian Federation within the United States without prior notification to the Attorney General.
   The announcement was made by Assistant Attorney General for National Security John C. Demers, U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jessie K. Liu, and Nancy McNamara, Assistant Director in Charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office.
   Maria Butina, 29, a Russian citizen residing in Washington D.C., was arrested on July 15, 2018, in Washington, D.C., and made her initial appearance this afternoon before Magistrate Judge Deborah A. Robinson in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. She was ordered held pending a hearing set for July 18, 2018.
   According to the affidavit in support of the complaint, from as early as 2015 and continuing through at least February 2017, Butina worked at the direction of a high-level official in the Russian government who was previously a member of the legislature of the Russian Federation and later became a top official at the Russian Central Bank. This Russian official was sanctioned by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control in April 2018.
   The court filings detail the Russian official’s and Butina’s efforts for Butina to act as an agent of Russia inside the United States by developing relationships with U.S. persons and infiltrating organizations having influence in American politics, for the purpose of advancing the interests of the Russian Federation. The filings also describe certain actions taken by Butina to further this effort during multiple visits from Russia and, later, when she entered and resided in the United States on a student visa. The filings allege that she undertook her activities without officially disclosing the fact that she was acting as an agent of Russian government, as required by law.

   Now, let’s get down to brass tacks, shall we? The Russians may have done some meddling in the campaign. Particularly the Drunken Old Sea Haggie HIllary walking about trying to get her land legs back. They meddled with her campaign, tried to get into the RNC server, but fortunately the R’s were smart enough not to fall for that junivall prank and their password obliviously was something other than PASSWORD. Meddling, interfering, call if what you may, I am tired of trying to be State the differences. Not splitting hairs ,just being precise. Precise is good. The dirty murderous butchers Russians was all about campaign stuff. Not the election.
   Meddling before election? Sure. Meddling immediately after election? Yes! Meddling with the election? Nah, big thumbs down on election interference.
   Let’s look at campaign meddling/interference. Wikileaks! Ok, not one soul has yet to challenge the validity or authenticity of the contents of the DNC e-mails. Well, Donna Brazile did protest she never wrote what she wrote, but finally came clean. Those were her e-mails, no editing was done.
   The Russians were as surprised as anyone that Trump won. Within days they started organizing protests against Trump. They even organized both sides of the biggest protest and counter-demonstrations at the time….in NYC, ROFLMAO.
   Some argue hypothetically that Bernie would have won the nomination and would have beaten Trump but for the Hillary Campaign stopping her “Democrat” opponent. She already got Obama to stop Joe from entering the race, clearing the field. Nobody worried about Bernie. But. Bernie’s supporters were fired up, impassioned, and while Bernie drew crowds numbering 20,000 on the West Coast, Hillary’s biggest crowd (for many months’ was her Campaign kickoff on Roosevelt Island. 5,000 showed up. After everything fizzled out soon after, she tried a Reset of her Kickoff. Another lead balloon. And Bernie took New Hampshire, which sent Bill Clinton into a blind rage. Then Bernie took Michigan and all the Dem big donors started to freak out. This was before the big Wikileaks Dump on the eve of the DNC…obliviously intended to help Bernie.
   Those who say Bernie could have won, I might say there are a couple of quasi-valid points their arguments. But, probably not. We will never know for sure. Bernies team and Bernie’s minions were anti-Hillary well before the Wikileaks dumps were widely read. Before than, just a few folks bothered to read Wikileaks, save to check up on Snowden stuff. No, I would say the Bernie Bros would have never voted for Hill, Russian meddling or not. Heck, they were chanting “Lock her up, Lock her up” from day one.

    Marcia had a great Letter to the Editor. Bravo Marcia. Thanks for making it clear. Millions of Americans are sad the press has become so biased especially against the right and common sense. Just today we learn that a Podesta Brother, the one lobbying for Ukraine back a couple of years, was offered immunity to testify against Manifort. Of course this Podesta and his brother are democrats and fundraisers and part of the Clinton cabal. And the Podesta offered immunity did the same thing that Meuller is accusing Manifort of doing. Why do you think that? Oh because Manifort was in the Trump campaign for a couple of months. And the charges against Manifort are from years before that. The press could care less except for the Trump part. That is why the news business is failing.
