Remember last winter when Mueller announced the indictment of 13 (that’s thirteen, like in one, three) Russians in his collusion investigation (more here). Remember that we discussed these indictments in the 14feb18 Sandbox (here), and concluded that there would be a snowball’s chance in hell of getting Russia to hand them over for trial. And then remember that one of the indicted Russians decided to plead not guilty and go to trial in the US, a trial that was supposed have started a week ago (9 July 2018). And then remember that this was a big surprise to Mueller who would have had to turn over all his evidence to the Russian defense team that he used to obtain the indictment – which evidence he either didn’t have or would have been sticky to share with the Russians.
Well, now we have forgotten all that with Mueller’s new and improved indictment of 12 Russians (that’s twelve, like in one, two) in his new and improved collusion investigation. No one seems to remember that these new indictments mysteriously fall one short, and their issuance completely ignores the forgotten 13 indictments and the recalcitrant defendant who pled not guilty and wanted to be tried. That the lamestream has picked up none of this is not a surprise to most of us here on RR, but the American Thinker did indeed notice and has published ‘The Forgotten II: The Strange Case of the Missing Russians’. (H/T also to RR reader)
There must be some reasonable explanation for all this, which from my perch appears as utter bullshit – including the timing of the announcement of the latest indictments. Perhaps our vociferous and all-knowing progressive readers can set the matter straight for us so that we can all go forward giving Mueller full faith and credit for doing something beside what President Trump has labeled a ‘witch hunt’.
