["Immigrants separated from their children after being arrested for illegally entering the U.S. at the Mexican border are being asked to choose between being deported alone or with their children." Why in the world would we not deport the children with the adults who brought them in? Is it because the kiddie importers may not be the kids' parents after all? Then where is today's insane hew and cry about separating kids from arrested parents – a long practiced process for both American and illegals taken into custody? Or are we now done with this topic? gjr]

The ‘consorting with Russians’ charge still strikes me as more a matter of ‘we wuz robbed’ than anything serious. Even if every allegation were true, I could find you a dozen far more egregious examples in the past.
It’s worth considering where the outrage comes from. None of it strike me as grassroots but as the result of an organized opposition. That’s fine, but it’s always good to reconsider your motivations.

God forbid you would have to actually do a little research before you jump to conclusions Todd, we would not want to slow the lightning speed of your wit.
I don’t even know what “…as long as it is clean then it is not official…” means.
Are you still denying it was the official release of the committee?
BTW you can find the vote on Burr’s web site as well or just go here 🙂

Hey. If anyone is in doubt about the bias of the news people all you need to do is read the article in today’s SacBee Page 2A. It is a screed by a Ken Thomas of the AP. It is supposed to be about VP Mike Pence’s address on the democrats desire to get rid of ICE. Nowhere in the article does this “journalist” report the children are removed from illegal crossers and then placed in good care. Also the writers does not even let his readers know that ICE removed 245,000 felons from America last year. These kinds of lousy reports are why Americans are canceling their subscriptions. The smallest items that may make Trump, Pence or Republicans look good are never reported. But the author places comments from the far left loons into the article as some form of “equal time”. I tweeted the guy and kicked his ass a bit about his bias. That is what they do and it all leads to bad information and hard feelings. Journalism is dead in America and this small little story is a prime example of why that is.

My take is that he’s discovered that he can get the people here to dance like dolls on a string by posting a single sentence every few hours. There’s a certain joy in that although most people outgrow it.

Oh my Frisch is upset he forgets to post the vote of the committee to release a “official” document. Sorry but if you don’t know the meaning of a “clean document” you have no business running a restaurant.
Hey Paul Emery, did you know that the Russian GOvernment has a cable TV news program 24/7 called RT? Is that collusion? I mean Putin is on that channel a lot. What do you think we should do?

Here is the press release of the Intel Committee. It does not mention the vote if any of the “unclassified” version. Anyway, it is simply a review of the Obama teams conclusions which are not backed up by facts. What a joke.

“Today, Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Richard Burr (R-NC) and Vice Chairman Mark Warner (D-VA) released the Committee’s unclassified summary…”

Lo and behold, that is your straw man, not anything I claimed. Of course, Senator Burr supports it, he put it on his Senate web page. That doesn’t change the fact that it is missing many of the elements of an official report from a senate committee.
“Its lack of specificity can be attributed to the point that an un-classified version of the report will be forwarded at a later date”
Before the unclassified version of the report can be forwarded, they have to finish the classified version. Refer to the final bullet point at the bottom of page one. This informal memo is a prelude, not a finale.
For Punchy’s question of what I was referring to by “markings”, he apparently didn’t bother clicking on the link I provided days ago to an example of an interim report of a Senate intelligence sub-committee in the past. My email to Daryl Steinberg Sacramento Mayor, who wrote a Resign letter to the Dixon Vice Mayor.
Reading your screed today about the Dixon Vice Mayor tells me all I need to know about you. You are a fascist! Why can’t a public figure speak his or her mind? And why should he not have the right for an opinion on things that might not be to your PC liking? He is simply speaking up for “normal” people. You have to admit that homosexuality is not a normal, natural thing and many people are sick of them throwing their lifestyles and pictures and parades in our faces. Why should little kids be subjected to that? I call that “child abuse” and perversion if one looks at their SF parades. My goodness, normal people don’t copulate in the street parades I have been too. Anyway, I am sure you will shout your PC crap as you are a pal of the SacBee but rest assured, I and many millions of Americans think someone speaking their minds about controversial issues is all about freedom of speech. Dixon voters can boot him if they want to. You should shut your pie hole and stick to the mess you have created in Sacramento.

What’s funny about this is that the tone of the accusations is nearly identical…..accusations of the apparent endorsement of nuclear war in Todds case (frankly I’m more than a little interested in your line of reasoning here Todd) and Punchies endless hunt for blasphemers….err….. “Putin Cuddlers”. I know Punch doesn’t really believe it but it makes for a handy accusation to hide behind politically and other than trumpeting (Hah….fish make joke) what he perceives to be the bluing of your region politically Punch has had precious few victories lately.
For the sake of his sanity maybe we all play along with this.

Todd, In your response in the Union to Nausbaum’s letter about the paper’s coverage of the immigration protest you stated there were 200 anti-trump people and 70 pro trump. On a more serious note, the magic word of the day is “pretext”.
“At a minimum, the letter provides us a pretext to interview,” Strzok wrote to Lisa Page on Sept. 26, 2016.
Within weeks, that “pretext” — often a synonym for an excuse — had been upsized to a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court warrant, giving the FBI the ability to use some of its most awesome powers to monitor Carter Page and his activities.”
“…….That’s what Bill said,” Strzok wrote back, apparently referring to then-FBI chief of counterintelligence William Priestap. “I suggested we need to exchange our entire lists as we each have potential derogatory CI info the other doesn’t.” CI is short for confidential informants.
