[Here's the next batch of fresh sand. I find it interesting how the intersection of what interests me and RR's commenters goes up and down. It appears that the interests of our most voluble readers pretty much track the news cycle, often leaving unattended more fundamental and systemic events/trends that impact our lives and country. Because I have always walked a path less tread, for me this variance is noteworthy but not a consternation, since RR has always been a record of my observations and interpretations from the last great century of Man. In sum, I think of my weblog as a letter to my family and the future which, of course, includes the contents of its comment streams. gjr]

Amzaging. The Dems hand Trump the upper hand on this Nazi gulag narrative. Evangelicals who stood by Trump through the Access Hollywood tape and Stormy Daniels were quite appalled with the site of crying brown babies in cages, crying formthe daddies. Even Franklin Graham voiced his concern. But, nooooo. The Dems, instead of capitalizing on the momentum, done shot their selves in the privates again. Socialist candidates, Antifa, no borders…..kind of puts off a lot who were sympathetic to the just cause. I mean a lot. And the 20-22% of the Dems that are true far left wackos just sucked the life out of the Blue Tsunami the by simply revealing who they are.
βOur long-term goal is to abolish ICE entirelyβ
βReimagine Border Patrol as a humanitarian force that rescues migrants, rather than destroying their water supplies to hasten their deaths.β
βOrganizers of the Womenβs March, endorsed by celebrities, journalists and Democrats, announced this week that the βcall to #AbolishICE is a call to eliminate the agency that has been terrorizing immigrant communities for 15 years. Paul Emery at 3:34 – “Things are going to be fun this fall.”
Really? Why is that? Ah – because the Dems will do well in the elections.
This from the person that swears up and down he’s no Dem.
He just follows the Dem talking points.
He exults when they do well in the polls.
But he swears he’s not a Dem.
If it walks like a duck…
Paul – you might just consider this another reason you’re considered a mindless buffoon here.
Another SCOTUS pick for Trump. Now THAT is going to be entertaining!

Trump is right and its obvious to everyone other than the EU –
“The Luftwaffe is at a low point,” Lieutenant General Ingo Gerhartz, who took over as chief of staff of the air force about a month ago, told 200 industry executives, military officers and lawmakers at an event in Berlin on Wednesday evening.
Gerhartz said his assessment followed visits to various air force sites and discussions with troops that revealed serious deficits in the readiness of aircraft and other equipment.
“Aircraft are grounded due to a lack of spare parts, or they aren’t even on site since they’re off for maintenance by the industry,” he said. He said a 400-hour inspection of the Eurofighter combat jets now took a total of 14 months, twice as long as planned, and this was unacceptable.
His comments followed recent reports by the defense ministry and the German parliament’s military ombudsman that revealed significant gaps in military equipment and personnel.
A February ministry report showed only 39 of 128 Eurofighter jets were available for training and combat use last year on average, and just 26 of 93 older-model Tornado fighter jets.

βFor those of you who know the defense sector, you also know Itβs not very helpful just to pour a lot of money into one sector over a year or two,β she added. βYou have to gradually build up, otherwise the money is not spent wisely and will not be spent on the right things.β

βIf living in the United States is more dangerous for women than living in a country where boyβs and menβs bodies are used to create bonfires while women are raped and baby girls are grabbed by the leg and thrown into the fire to burn, then forgive me β I must be missing something. As far as I was aware, women in the U.S. face injustices, but we still have equality before the law. The same canβt be said for these nine other countries, or the dozens of others that didnβt make the list of most dangerous countries for women.β
According to Reuters, βThe survey was taken after the #MeToo campaign against sexual harassment went viral in October last year as Hollywood movie mogul Harvey Weinstein was accused of sexual misconduct by more than 70 women, some dating back decades. Hundreds of women…..β

I’m not a Dem. You are a supporter of our liar in chief. It will give me great pleasure to watch him squirm when the weight of lies catch up with him.
Todd, you don’t have a great week when you’re dying in the polls and you’re dumped by your on party on major legislation.

Jan. 21 βI wasn’t a fan of Iraq. I didn’t want to go into Iraq.β (He was for an invasion before he was against it.) Jan. 21 βA reporter for Time magazine β and I have been on their cover 14 or 15 times. I think we have the all-time record in the history of Time magazine.β (Trump was on the cover 11 times and Nixon appeared 55 times.) Jan. 23 βBetween 3 million and 5 million illegal votes caused me to lose the popular vote.β (There’s no evidence of illegal voting.) Jan. 25 βNow, the audience was the biggest ever. But this crowd was massive. Look how far back it goes. This crowd was massive.β (Official aerial photos show Obama’s 2009 inauguration was much more heavily attended.) Jan. 25 βTake a look at the Pew reports (which show voter fraud.)β (The report never mentioned voter fraud.) Jan. 25 βYou had millions of people that now aren’t insured anymore.β (The real number is less than 1 million, according to the Urban Institute.) Jan. 25 βSo, look, when President Obama was there two weeks ago making a speech, very nice speech. Two people were shot and killed during his speech. You can’t have that.β (There were no gun homicide victims in Chicago that day.) Jan. 26 βWe’ve taken in tens of thousands of people. We know nothing about them. They can say they vet them. They didn’t vet them. They have no papers. How can you vet somebody when you don’t know anything about them and you have no papers? How do you vet them? You can’t.β (Vetting lasts up to two years.) Jan. 26 βI cut off hundreds of millions of dollars off one particular plane, hundreds of millions of dollars in a short period of time. It wasn’t like I spent, like, weeks, hours, less than hours, and many, many hundreds of millions of dollars. And the plane’s going to be better.β (Most of the cuts were already planned.) Jan. 28 βThe coverage about me in the @nytimes and the @washingtonpost has been so false and angry that the Times actually apologized to its dwindling subscribers and readers.β (It never apologized.) Jan. 29 βThe Cuban-Americans, I got 84 percent of that vote.β (There is no support for this.) Jan. 30 βOnly 109 people out of 325,000 were detained and held for questioning. Big problems at airports were caused by Delta computer outage.β (At least 746 people were detained and processed, and the Delta outage happened two days later.) Feb. 3 βProfessional anarchists, thugs and paid protesters are proving the point of the millions of people who voted to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!β (There is no evidence of paid protesters.) Feb. 4 βAfter being forced to apologize for its bad and inaccurate coverage of me after winning the election, the FAKE NEWS @nytimes is still lost!β (It never apologized.) Feb. 5 βWe had 109 people out of hundreds of thousands of travelers and all we did was vet those people very, very carefully.β (About 60,000 people were affected.) Feb. 6 βI have already saved more than $700 million when I got involved in the negotiation on the F-35.β (Much of the price drop was projected before Trump took office.) Feb. 6 βIt’s gotten to a point where it is not even being reported. And in many cases, the very, very dishonest press doesn’t want to report it.β (Terrorism has been reported on, often in detail.) Feb. 6 βThe failing @nytimes was forced to apologize to its subscribers for the poor reporting it did on my election win. Now they are worse!β (It didn’t apologize.) Feb. 6 βAnd the previous administration allowed it to happen because we shouldn’t have been in Iraq, but we shouldn’t have gotten out the way we got out. It created a vacuum, ISIS was formed.β (The groupβs origins date to 2004.) Feb. 7 βAnd yet the murder rate in our country is the highest itβs been in 47 years, right? Did you know that? Forty-seven years.β (It was higher in the 1980s and ’90s.) Feb. 7 βI saved more than $600 million. I got involved in negotiation on a fighter jet, the F-35.β (The Defense Department projected this price drop before Trump took office.) Feb. 9 βChris Cuomo, in his interview with Sen. Blumenthal, never asked him about his long-term lie about his brave βserviceβ in Vietnam. FAKE NEWS!β (It was part of Cuomo’s first question.) Feb. 9 βSen. Richard Blumenthal now misrepresents what Judge Gorsuch told him?β (The Gorsuch comments were later corroborated.) Feb. 10 βI donβt know about it. I havenβt seen it. What report is that?β (Trump knew about Flynn’s actions for weeks.) Feb. 12 βJust leaving Florida. Big crowds of enthusiastic supporters lining the road that the FAKE NEWS media refuses to mention. Very dishonest!β (The media did cover it.) Feb. 16 βWe got 306 because people came out and voted like they’ve never seen before so that’s the way it goes. I guess it was the biggest Electoral College win since Ronald Reagan.β (George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama all won bigger margins in the Electoral College.) Feb. 16 βThatβs the other thing that was wrong with the travel ban. You had Delta with a massive problem with their computer system at the airports.β (Delta’s problems happened two days later.) Feb. 16 βWalmart announced it will create 10,000 jobs in the United States just this year because of our various plans and initiatives.β (The jobs are a result of its investment plans announced in Oct. 2016.) Feb. 16 βWhen WikiLeaks, which I had nothing to do with, comes out and happens to give, theyβre not giving classified information.β (Not always. They have released classified information in the past.) Feb. 16 βWe had a very smooth rollout of the travel ban. But we had a bad court. Got a bad decision.β (The rollout was chaotic.) Feb. 16 βTheyβre giving stuff β what was said at an office about Hillary cheating on the debates. Which, by the way, nobody mentions. Nobody mentions that Hillary received the questions to the debates.β (It was widely covered.) Feb. 18 βAnd there was no way to vet those people. There was no documentation. There was no nothing.β (Refugees receive multiple background checks, taking up to two years.) Feb. 18 βYou look at what’s happening in Germany, you look at what’s happening last night in Sweden. Sweden, who would believe this?β (Trump implied there was a terror attack in Sweden, but there was no such attack.) Feb. 24 βBy the way, you folks are in here β this place is packed, there are lines that go back six blocks.β (There was no evidence of long lines.) Feb. 24 βICE came and endorsed me.β (Only its union did.) Feb. 24 βObamacare covers very few people β and remember, deduct from the number all of the people that had great health care that they loved that was taken away from them β it was taken away from them.β (Obamacare increased coverage by a net of about 20 million.) Feb. 27 βSince Obamacare went into effect, nearly half of the insurers are stopped and have stopped from participating in the Obamacare exchanges.β (Many fewer pulled out.) Feb. 27 βOn one plane, on a small order of one plane, I saved $725 million. And I would say I devoted about, if I added it up, all those calls, probably about an hour. So I think that might be my highest and best use.β (Much of the price cut was already projected.) Feb. 28 βAnd now, based on our very strong and frank discussions, they are beginning to do just that.β (NATO countries agreed to meet defense spending requirements in 2014.) Feb. 28 βThe E.P.A.βs regulators were putting people out of jobs by the hundreds of thousands.β (There’s no evidence that the Waters of the United States rule caused severe job losses.) Feb. 28 βWe have begun to drain the swamp of government corruption by imposing a five-year ban on lobbying by executive branch officials.β (They can’t lobby their former agency but can still become lobbyists.) March 3 βIt is so pathetic that the Dems have still not approved my full Cabinet.β (Paperwork for the last two candidates was still not submitted to the Senate.) March 4 βTerrible! Just found out that Obama had my βwires tappedβ in Trump Tower just be
fore the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!β (There’s no evidence of a wiretap.) March 4 βHow low has President Obama gone to tap my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!β (There’s no evidence of a wiretap.) March 7 β122 vicious prisoners, released by the Obama Administration from Gitmo, have returned to the battlefield. Just another terrible decision!β (113 of them were released by President George W. Bush.) March 13 βI saved a lot of money on those jets, didn’t I? Did I do a good job? More than $725 million on them.β (Much of the cost cuts were planned before Trump.) March 13 βFirst of all, it covers very few people.β (About 20 million people gained insurance under Obamacare.) March 15 βOn the airplanes, I saved $725 million. Probably took me a half an hour if you added up all of the times.β (Much of the cost cuts were planned before Trump.) March 17 βI was in Tennessee β I was just telling the folks β and half of the state has no insurance company, and the other half is going to lose the insurance company.β (There’s at least one insurer in every Tennessee county.) March 20 βWith just one negotiation on one set of airplanes, I saved the taxpayers of our country over $700 million.β (Much of the cost cuts were planned before Trump.) March 21 βTo save taxpayer dollars, Iβve already begun negotiating better contracts for the federal government β saving over $700 million on just one set of airplanes of which there are many sets.β (Much of the cost cuts were planned before Trump.) March 22 βI make the statement, everyone goes crazy. The next day they have a massive riot, and death, and problems.β (Riots in Sweden broke out two days later and there were no deaths.) March 22 βNATO, obsolete, because it doesnβt cover terrorism. They fixed that.β (It has fought terrorism since the 1980s.) March 22 βWell, now, if you take a look at the votes, when I say that, I mean mostly they register wrong β in other words, for the votes, they register incorrectly and/or illegally. And they then vote. You have tremendous numbers of people.β (There’s no evidence of widespread voter fraud.) March 29 βRemember when the failing @nytimes apologized to its subscribers, right after the election, because their coverage was so wrong. Now worse!β (It didn’t apologize.) March 31 βWe have a lot of plants going up now in Michigan that were never going to be there if I β if I didnβt win this election, those plants would never even think about going back. They were gone.β (These investments were already planned.) April 2 βAnd I was totally opposed to the war in the Middle East which I think finally has been proven, people tried very hard to say I wasnβt but youβve seen that it is now improving.β (He was for an invasion before he was against it.) April 2 βNow, my last tweet β you know, the one that you are talking about, perhaps β was the one about being, in quotes, wiretapped, meaning surveilled. Guess what, it is turning out to be true.β (There is still no evidence.) April 5 βYou have many states coming up where theyβre going to have no insurance company. O.K.? Itβs already happened in Tennessee. Itβs happening in Kentucky. Tennessee only has half coverage. Half the state is gone. They left.β (Every marketplace region in Tennessee had at least one insurer.) April 6 βIf you look at the kind of cost-cutting weβve been able to achieve with the military and at the same time ordering vast amounts of equipment β saved hundreds of millions of dollars on airplanes, and really billions, because if you take that out over a period of years itβs many billions of dollars β I think weβve had a tremendous success.β (Much of the price cuts were already projected.) April 11 βI like Steve, but you have to remember he was not involved in my campaign until very late. I had already beaten all the senators and all the governors, and I didnβt know Steve.β (He knew Steve Bannon since 2011.) April 12 βYou can’t do it faster, because they’re obstructing. They’re obstructionists. So I have people β hundreds of people that we’re trying to get through. I mean you have β you see the backlog. We can’t get them through.β (At this point, he had not nominated anyone for hundreds of positions.) April 12 βThe New York Times said the word wiretapped in the headline of the first edition. Then they took it out of there fast when they realized.β (There were separate headlines for print and web, but neither were altered.) April 12 βThe secretary general and I had a productive discussion about what more NATO can do in the fight against terrorism. I complained about that a long time ago and they made a change, and now they do fight terrorism.β (NATO has been engaged in counterterrorism efforts since the 1980s.) April 12 βMosul was supposed to last for a week and now theyβve been fighting it for many months and so many more people died.β (The campaign was expected to take months.) April 16 βSomeone should look into who paid for the small organized rallies yesterday. The election is over!β (There’s no evidence of paid protesters.) April 18 βThe fake media goes, βDonald Trump changed his stance on China.β I havenβt changed my stance.β (He did.) April 21 βOn 90 planes I saved $725 million. It’s actually a little bit more than that, but it’s $725 million.β (Much of the price cuts were already projected.) April 21 βWhen WikiLeaks came out … never heard of WikiLeaks, never heard of it.β (He criticized it as early as 2010.) April 27 βI want to help our miners while the Democrats are blocking their healthcare.β (The bill to extend health benefits for certain coal miners was introduced by a Democrat and was co-sponsored by mostly Democrats.) April 28 βThe trade deficit with Mexico is close to $70 billion, even with Canada itβs $17 billion trade deficit with Canada.β (The U.S. had an $8.1 billion trade surplus, not deficit, with Canada in 2016.) April 28 βShe’s running against someone who’s going to raise your taxes to the sky, destroy your health care, and he’s for open borders β lots of crime.β (Those are not Jon Ossoff’s positions.) April 28 βThe F-35 fighter jet program β it was way over budget. Iβve saved $725 million plus, just by getting involved in the negotiation.β (Much of the price cuts were planned before Trump.) April 29 βAs you know, I’ve been a big critic of China, and I’ve been talking about currency manipulation for a long time. But I have to tell you that during the election, number one, they stopped.β (China stopped years ago.) April 29 βI’ve already saved more than $725 million on a simple order of F-35 planes. I got involved in the negotiation.β (Much of the price cuts were planned before Trump.) April 29 βWe’re also getting NATO countries to finally step up and contribute their fair share. They’ve begun to increase their contributions by billions of dollars, but we are not going to be satisfied until everyone pays what they owe.β (The deal was struck in 2014.) April 29 βWhen they talk about currency manipulation, and I did say I would call China, if they were, a currency manipulator, early in my tenure. And then I get there. Number one, they β as soon as I got elected, they stopped.β (China stopped in 2014.) April 29 βI was negotiating to reduce the price of the big fighter jet contract, the F-35, which was totally out of control. I will save billions and billions and billions of dollars.β (Most of the cuts were planned before Trump.) April 29 βI think our side’s been proven very strongly. And everybody’s talking about it.β (There’s still no evidence Trump’s phones were tapped.) May 1 βWell, we are protecting pre-existing conditions. And it’ll be every good β bit as good on pre-existing conditions as Obamacare.β (The bill weakens protections for people with pre-existing conditions.) May 1 βThe F-35 fighter jet β I saved β I got involved in the negotiation. It’s 2,500 jets. I negotiat
ed for 90 planes, lot 10. I got $725 million off the price.β (Much of the price cuts were planned before Trump.) May 1 βFirst of all, since I started running, they haven’t increased their β you know, they have not manipulated their currency. I think that was out of respect to me and the campaign.β (China stopped years ago.) May 2 βI love buying those planes at a reduced price. I have been really β I have cut billions β I have to tell you this, and they can check, right, Martha? I have cut billions and billions of dollars off plane contracts sitting here.β (Much of the cost cuts were planned before Trump.) May 4 βNumber two, theyβre actually not a currency [manipulator]. You know, since Iβve been talking about currency manipulation with respect to them and other countries, they stopped.β (China stopped years ago.) May 4 βWeβre the highest-taxed nation in the world.β (We’re not.) May 4 βNobody cares about my tax return except for the reporters.β (Polls show most Americans do care.) May 8 βYou know weβve gotten billions of dollars more in NATO than weβre getting. All because of me.β (The deal was struck in 2014.) May 8 βBut when I did his show, which by the way was very highly rated. It was high β highest rating. The highest rating heβs ever had.β (Colbert’s Late Show debut had nearly two million more viewers.) May 8 βDirector Clapper reiterated what everybody, including the fake media already knows β there is βno evidenceβ of collusion w/ Russia and Trump.β (Clapper only said he wasn’t aware of an investigation.) May 12 βAgain, the story that there was collusion between the Russians & Trump campaign was fabricated by Dems as an excuse for losing the election.β (The F.B.I. was investigating before the election.) May 12 βWhen James Clapper himself, and virtually everyone else with knowledge of the witch hunt, says there is no collusion, when does it end?β (Clapper said he wouldn’t have been told of an investigation into collusion.) May 13 βI’m cutting the price of airplanes with Lockheed.β (The cost cuts were planned before he became president.) May 26 βJust arrived in Italy for the G7. Trip has been very successful. We made and saved the USA many billions of dollars and millions of jobs.β (He’s referencing an arms deal that’s not enacted and other apparent deals that weren’t announced on the trip.) June 1 βChina will be allowed to build hundreds of additional coal plants. So, we canβt build the plants, but they can, according to this agreement. India will be allowed to double its coal production by 2020.β (The agreement doesnβt allow or disallow building coal plants.) June 1 βIβve just returned from a trip overseas where we concluded nearly $350 billion of military and economic development for the United States, creating hundreds of thousands of jobs.β (Trumpβs figures are inflated and premature.) June 4 βAt least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is βno reason to be alarmed!ββ (The mayor was specifically talking about the enlarged police presence on the streets.) June 5 βThe Justice Dept. should have stayed with the original Travel Ban, not the watered down, politically correct version they submitted to S.C.β (Trump signed this version of the travel ban, not the Justice Department.) June 20 βWell, the Special Elections are over and those that want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN are 5 and O!β (Republicans have won four special elections this year, while a Democrat won one.) June 21 βThey all say it’s ‘nonbinding.’ Like hell it’s nonbinding.β (The Paris climate agreement is nonbinding β and Trump said so in his speech announcing the withdrawal.) June 21 βRight now, we are one of the highest-taxed nations in the world.β (We’re not.) June 21 βYou have a gang called MS-13. … We are moving them out of the country by the thousands, by the thousands.β (The real number of gang members deported is smaller.) June 21 βYour insurance companies have all fled the state of Iowa.β (They haven’t.) June 21 βIf [farmers] have a puddle in the middle of their field … it’s considered a lake and you can’t touch it. … We got rid of that one, too, O.K.?β (The Obama environmental rule to limit pollution in the countryβs waters explicitly excludes puddles.) June 21 βGary Cohn just paid $200 million in tax in order to take this job, by the way.β (Cohn sold Goldman Sachs stock worth $220 million.) June 21 βWeβre 5 and 0.β (Republicans have won four special elections this year, while a Democrat won one.) June 21 βLast week a brand-new coal mine just opened in the state of Pennsylvania, first time in decades, decades.β (Another coal mine opened in 2014.) June 22 βFormer Homeland Security Advisor Jeh Johnson is latest top intelligence official to state there was no grand scheme between Trump & Russia.β (Johnson, who had a different title, didn’t say that.) June 23 βWe are 5 and 0 … in these special elections.β (Republicans have won four special elections this year, while a Democrat won one.) June 27 βRatings way down!β (CNN’s ratings were at a five-year high at the time.) June 28 βDemocrats purposely misstated Medicaid under new Senate bill β actually goes up.β (Senate bill would have cut the program deeply.) June 29 βGeneral Kelly and his whole group β theyβve gotten rid of 6,000 so far.β (The real number of MS-13 gang members who have been deported is smaller.) July 6 βAs a result of this insistence, billions of dollars more have begun to pour into NATO.β (NATO countries agreed to meet defense spending requirements in 2014.) July 17 βWeβve signed more bills β and Iβm talking about through the legislature β than any president, ever.β (Clinton, Carter, Truman, and F.D.R. had signed more at the same point.) July 19 βUm, the Russian investigation β itβs not an investigation, itβs not on me β you know, theyβre looking at a lot of things.β (It is.) July 19 βI heard that Harry Truman was first, and then we beat him. These are approved by Congress. These are not just executive orders.β (Presidents Clinton, Carter, Truman, and F.D.R. each had signed more legislation than Trump at the same point in their terms.) July 19 βBut the F.B.I. person really reports directly to the president of the United States, which is interesting.β (He reports directly to the attorney general.) July 19 βShe did the uranium deal, which is a horrible thing, while she was secretary of state, and got a lot of money.β (There’s no evidence Hillary Clinton was actively involved or benefited from the deal.) July 24 βIt looks like about 45,000 people. You set a record today.β (Many fewer than 45,000 were there, and the attendance was not a record.) July 25 βWe have the highest taxes anywhere in the world, and this will really bring them down to one of the lowest.β (Tax rates in the United States are below average, overall and for an industrialized country.) July 25 βWeβre the highest-taxed nation in the worldβ (We’re not.) July 25 βWe have nearly doubled the number of veterans given approvals to see the doctor of their choice.β (The increase was 26 percent.) July 25 βSince I took office we have cut illegal immigration on our southern border by record numbers. 78 percent.β (The decline began before Trump’s inauguration.) July 28 βThe previous administration enacted an open-door policy to illegal migrants from Central America. “Welcome in. Come in, please, please.β (Obama deported millions.) July 28 βWe have trade deficits with almost every country because we had a lot of really bad negotiators making deals with other countries.β (The U.S. has a trade surplus with more than 100 countries.) July 31 β2.6 is a number that nobody thought theyβd see for a long period of time.β (Many experts predicted economic growth at least this high.) July 31 βAnd even the President of Mexico called me β they said their southern border, very few people are coming because they know theyβre not g
oing to get through our border, which is the ultimate compliment.β (Mexico’s president says he didn’t call Trump.) Aug. 1 βAnd I think to me, maybe the biggest is that GDP for the quarter just released at 2.6 percent. So that’s so much higher than anticipated.β (It wasn’t.) Aug. 3 βEconomic growth has surged to 2.6% nationwide. You have to understand what that means. Nobody thought that number was going to happen.β (Many experts predicted that.) Aug. 3 βThe Russia story is a total fabrication.β (It’s not.) Aug. 3 βOr let them look at the uranium she sold that is now in the hands of very angry Russians.β (There’s no evidence Hillary Clinton was actively involved in the sale.) Aug. 15 βWe want products made in the country. Now, I have to tell you, some of the folks that will leave, they’re leaving out of embarrassment because they make their products outside.β (People resigned from Trump’s business councils over his Charlottesville comments.) Aug. 22 βRemember, everybody said you wonβt bring it up to 1 percent. You wonβt bring it up to 1.2 percent.β (Many experts predicted economic growth at least this high.) Aug. 22 βI mean truly dishonest people in the media and the fake media, they make up stories. They have no sources in many cases. They say ‘a source says’ β there is no such thing.β (The media does not make up sources.) Aug. 22 βAs everybody here remembers, this was the scene of my first rally speech, right?β (Trump’s first rally was in New Hampshire) Aug. 22 βWe have become an energy exporter for the first time ever just recently.β (The U.S. isn’t projected to become a net energy exporter until 2026.) Aug. 22 βLook back there, the live red lights. They’re turning those suckers off fast out there. They’re turning those lights off fast. Like CNN.β (CNN didn’t turn off its cameras.) Sept. 6 βThe taxes are crazy β the highest-taxed nation in the world.β (We’re not.) Sept. 6 βWe are the highest taxed nation in the world – that will change.β (We’re not.) Sept. 8 βOur incredible U.S. Coast Guard saved more than 15,000 lives last week with Harvey.β (The real number is 11,022.) Sept. 14 βAlso with the fact that I know in the case of FEMA and the case of Coast Guard, the job you’ve done in saving people, saving lives. As an example, in Harvey in Texas, we talked β over 16,000 lives.β (The real number is smaller.) Sept. 14 βAnd in Florida you got hit with the strongest winds ever recorded.β (They weren’t the strongest ever recorded.) Sept. 22 βWe’ve been dealing with ICE, we’ve been dealing with the Border Patrol. They both endorsed me.β (Neither agency endorsed him; only their unions did.) Sept. 22 βSo he started off here, he was in third or fourth, he went to third, second, and now it’s like almost pretty even.β (Strange consistently polled first or second in the Alabama Republican primary.) Sept. 29 βWith the F-35 fighter plane β me, myself β I’ve saved hundreds of millions of dollars in negotiating.β (The cost cuts were planned before he became president.) Sept. 27 βIβm doing the right thing, and itβs not good for me.β (All available evidence suggests he would benefit.) Sept. 27 βTo protect millions of small businesses and the American farmer, we are finally ending the crushing, the horrible, the unfair estate tax.β (The real number of small businesses and farmers is vastly smaller.) Sept. 27 βNo, I don’t benefit. I don’t benefit. In fact, very very strongly, as you see, I think there’s very little benefit for people of wealth.β (The tax plan would personally benefit Trump and other wealthy individuals.) Sept. 27 βFacebook was always anti-Trump.The Networks were always anti-Trump hence,Fake News, @nytimes(apologized) & @WaPo were anti-Trump.β (The Times did not apologize for its Trump coverage.) Sept. 28 βI mean right now, we’re the highest-taxed nation in the world.β (We’re not.) Oct. 3 βBut the Coast Guard itself saved in Texas 16,000 lives, and they went right through that hurricane.β (The real number is smaller.) Oct. 3 βBut that’s an expensive plane that you can’t see. And as you probably heard, we cut the price very substantially β something that other administrations would never have done, that I can tell you.β (The cost cuts were planned before he became president.) Oct. 6 βI was able to reduce the price of the Lockheed by billions of dollars.β (The cost cuts were planned before he became president.) Oct. 6 βWe’re the highest-taxed developed nation in the world, probably the highest-taxed nation in the world.β (We’re not.) Oct. 6 βThey also just said that there has been absolutely no collusion. They just said that. Yesterday. Two days ago. Senate. There has been no collusion.β (The Senate didn’t say that.) Oct. 6 βThis tax cut and tax reform is going very well, and it’s going to be a tremendous boost for our country, including the fact that we’re the highest-taxed nation in the world.β (We’re not.) Oct. 7 βWe’re the highest-taxed nation in the world.β (We’re not.) Oct. 7 βThe Coast Guard, in Texas, and all over, but with the job they did in Texas, I saw, they saved 16,000 lives.β (The real number is smaller.) Oct. 7 βObama should have never gotten out the way he got out. That’s how ISIS formed.β (The groupβs origins date to 2004.) Oct. 10 βThe Failing @nytimes set Liddle’ Bob Corker up by recording his conversation. Was made to sound a fool, and that’s what I am dealing with!β (Corker asked the Times reporter to record the call; his aides recorded it too.) Oct. 10 βWe’re the highest-taxed nation in the world.β (We’re not.) Oct. 11 βWe have missiles that can knock out a missile in the air. Ninety seven per cent of the time. If you send two of them, it’s going to get knocked out.β (The effectiveness rate is about 60 percent.) Oct. 16 βWe’re the highest-taxed country in the world.β (We’re not.) Oct. 16 βI hear that Ireland is going to be reducing their corporate rates down to 8 percent from 12.β (Ireland has no plans to cut its tax rate.) Oct. 16 βIf you look at President Obama and other presidents, most of them didnβt make calls.β (They did call families of soldiers killed in action.) Oct. 16 βAll I can say is it’s totally fake news, just fake. It’s fake. It’s made-up stuff, and it’s disgraceful what happens, but that happens in the world of politics.β (Trump himself has bragged about groping women.) Oct. 17 βWe’re the highest taxed nation in the world.β (We’re not.) Oct. 17 βRight now, we are the highest-taxed nation anywhere in the world. You can even say developed or undeveloped.β (We’re not.) Oct. 17 βAs far as I’m concerned, I think we’re really essentially the highest. But if you’d like to add the developed nation, you can say that, too.β (Taxes in the U.S. are lower than in most developed countries.) Oct. 17 βWe’re the highest-taxed nation in the world. We are taxed beyond belief.β (We’re not.) Oct. 17 βWell, we’re the highest-taxed nation in the world.β (We’re not.) Oct. 17 βI wish President Obama didn’t get out the way he got out. Because that left a vacuum and ISIS was formed.β (The groupβs origins date to 2004.) Oct. 25 βWe have trade deficits with almost everybody.β (We have trade surpluses with more than 100 countries.) Oct. 27 βWacky & totally unhinged Tom Steyer, who has been fighting me and my Make America Great Again agenda from beginning, never wins elections!β (Steyer has
financially supported many winning candidates.) Nov. 1 βAgain, we’re the highest-taxed nation, just about, in the world.β (We’re not.) Nov. 7 βWhen you look at the city with the strongest gun laws in our nation, it’s Chicago.β (Several other cities, including New York and Los Angeles, have stronger gun laws.) Nov. 11 βI’d rather have him β you know, work with him on the Ukraine than standing and arguing about whether or not β because that whole thing was set up by the Democrats.β (There is no evidence that Democrats “set up” Russian interference in the election.)

PaulE 702pm – You’ve lapped the barn again on Trump’s lies. Is there nothing you have to say what the Dems have been doing and saying during the last few weeks (as have been cited chapter and verse by our commenters above and previous streams)? Surely it does not mean that they have been speaking for you, or have they? Or does it mean to you that all of that going down is inconsequential to the Dems’ fortunes in November?

I am so glad the immigration bill went down in flames, as many others will certainly follow and be thrown in the circular file. First, they took out E-Verify. While not a big fan of imposing more regulations and paperwork on businesses, E-Verify is the way to go. Second, no funding for the Wall. Third, chain immigration now includes adult children. Not parents with children, but parents with adult children. Screw that. Fourth, once granted amnesty, all other family members can come in here, included Uncle Pablo, the town drunk and Aunt Chingahead, who never worked a day in her life cause of her bad back and respiratory problems.
Dems already said so: There will be no immigration bill this year. Ok, maybe a narrow tailored passing a couple of laws, but NO comprehensive immigration bill this year. Rubio and the Gang of Five RINOs will block anything that includes The Wall and does not include blanket amnesty for millions. They were once called the Gang of Six, but Jeb sort of dropped out of the good old boys club. Limp wristed Linsey Graham is picking up the slack for the Bush Family and no way will Chucky the Clown touch true immigration reform. That would political suicide for the party of βNo!β. No is a complete statement.
As a side note, is it just me or has everyone else noticed that when Trumpβs polling nears 50%, our news director bobble head is nowhere to be found. Vanishing act. But, if Trump’s numbers slide on the current news cycles, he shows up all rearing to go. The Blue Wave is back on! Hmmm, the Popinjay must be waiting in the shadows for the polls to drop then pounce, lol. Welcome back Punchy. Never change.
The Blue Wave is back, flapping in the breeze. Stand and salute as the Leftist Industrial Media Complex plays their national anthem.

Hey ya po’ ol’ fakenewsman @643 Team lefty got played, he did not want those bills to pass, he wanted to win bigger in the midterm! Hell even Chris Mathews gets it –
Matthews on Monday pointed out that when pro-amnesty activists and the legacy media blast Trump for being cruel to illegal immigrants, βit makes Donald Trump the last man standing against illegal immigrationβ¦ the last man standing against open bordersβ¦ the last one not for doing absolutely nothing to regulate immigration.β
The Hardball host said that Trumpβs critics are βso upset about stoping illegal immigration Trumpβs way, they are against stoping it any other way.β
He said Trump successfully gets βDemocrats to scream bloody murder when Trump does something to stop illegal immigrationβ¦ and it will sound to many people that Democrats are defending illegal immigration, that they are for open borders.β
βItβs how trump got elected,β Matthews said. βItβs how heβs clearly set his course to get reelectedβusing Democrats to help him.β
In a Tuesday CNN column, Ronald Brownstein also pointed out that it is risky for Democrats to so vehemently oppose Trumpβs enforcement policies.
βAmericans have consistently indicated they want immigration laws upheld and that they oppose policies that connote open borders or appear to tolerate lawbreaking; that can be a risk for Democrats who too sweepingly criticize immigration enforcement,β Brownstein

A federal district judge had ruled for Chicago, but issued a nationwide injunction saying the conditions couldnβt be applied to any Byrne grants.
The Justice Department put nearly $200 million in 2017 money on hold as the case proceeded.
But on Tuesday an appeals court narrowed the ruling, saying that while the district court could decide the fate of Chicagoβs practices, it couldnβt tie the hands of the entire country.
The Justice Department said that cleared the way to dole out cash to departments that do abide by the cooperation conditions.
βAfter the stay was granted, the Justice Department promptly moved to begin the distribution of nearly $200 million in Byrne JAG funds to jurisdictions that share the departmentβs commitment to keeping criminal aliens off our streets and our law abiding citizens safe,β said Justice spokesman Devin OβMalley. βReviews of some applications remain ongoing.β

The βundefinitized contract action awardβ means that the Royal Bahraini Air Force will become the first operator of the most advanced and capable version of F-16 ever designed.
At the core of the F-16 Block 70 is the Northrop Grumman APG-83 Active Electronically Scanned Array radar , which is based on technology leveraged from the F-22 Raptor and the F-35 and can track more than 20 targets simultaneously. The radar can also generate 1ft resolution synthetic aperture radar maps and has a range greater than 160 nautical miles against ground targets.
The jet also has a new state of the art electronic warfare system.
The Block 70 jet features a modernized cockpit with a new Center Pedestal Display (CPD) that provides tactical imagery on a high-resolution 6βx 8β screen. The new display will allow pilots to take full advantage of the Block 70βs new sensors.
The cockpit also has provisions for the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System II (JHMCS II) display, which lets pilot take full advantage of the Raytheon AIM-9X Sidewinder.

“Green Libertarian” isn’t a political party, Punch. It’s a figment of a punch-drunk imagination.
And I know, respect and am even fond of a few folks who are registered GOP, Punch. It’s beneath you to use “pubber” to describe them. Or it should be beneath you.

Absolutely, if just to keep you foaming at the mouth. Your people are the commies. One commie babe just beat a socialist guy in New York. I would rather have a liar than a commie that will shoot you up against the wall.

I like this quote:
“One of the intercepted documents revealed an alleged email from then-DNC Chairwoman Wasserman Schultz to an operative working for billionaire Democratic fundraiser George Soros. It claimed Lynch had assured the Clinton campaign that investigators and prosecutors would go easy on the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee regarding her use of a private email server while serving as secretary of state. Lynch allegedly made the promise directly to Clinton political director Amanda Renteria.”

“It will give me great pleasure to watch him squirm when the weight of lies catch up with him.”
So – you have no pleasure at this point in time, Paul.
But you claim you will have fun this fall.
What about the weight of the lies of the Dems, Paul? Why is that different?
If it walks like a duck…
You’ve been doing an awful lot of quacking, Paul.
Are you really sure you’re not a duck?

Sorry Paul Emery that is not the meaning of my response to your claim Trump is a liar. It is a generic response and if you had any gray matter you would have known that. But you just love to give your intentions to others.

I rather like how things are shaping up. At least the Left has got some bullet items besides Trumphate now. I don’t doubt for a second that a platform based on:
. Open Borders and abolishing immigration policing
. Gun bans
. Hair rending about the Supreme Court (wait until the next next appointment).
. Abolishing trade barriers for imports while ignoring trade barriers on exports.
. Free health care, free college, guaranteed jobs, probably some other free stuff.
should do pretty well with some folks.
I’m thinking that an Harris/Ocasio-Cortez ticket might be just the thing.
