Gregory,
You have all the bad luck. Weren’t you the one who ran into KAREN Large Mouth BASS at the airport once? Now Flake. My sympathies.
Flake can’t get over the fact that he is so soundly rejected by his constituents in the pre-election cycle polls, he done got primaried before the primaries. He is as bitter and angry as My Gal, if not more so. He was probably out looking for a new brain for his TDS….or maybe one for is fellow AZ senator….for awhile. Warning: Flake is coming and boy is he pissed.
Speaking of angry irrational bitter Dems with TDS, the Empire Strikes Back.

Funny you should mention Elizardbeth Warren, I walked past her house a few times in the last couple of days, too. Did not leave a flaming bag of poo, was worried about Flying Monkeys watching her house, not to mention the carbon footprint of the poo paper bag.

On a different note, I was reading about the California homeless situation and musing about how such a rich place which is 99% run by liberals can fail so miserably at things like healthcare or The Poor. We’re Numero Uno in taking over the federal role in immigration law, though.
This article popped up, and it struck me as the perfect California success story.
http://abc30.com/homeless-women-harassed-in-shower-lawsuit-says/3514544/
Homeless people? Check.
Shelter named somebody or the other’s ‘place’ or ‘house’? Check.
Transgender person? Check.
Lawsuit? Check.
Harassment? Check.
Opinion from yet another homeless transgender professional poker player? Check.
‘Gentle haven of healing? Check.
Obama-era federal concerning LGBTLMNOP? Check.
The perfect storm.
I did like this statement:
“Karen Adell Scot, a local transgender advocate, even offered to train Naomi’s House employees on how to recognize people just pretending to identify as the opposite gender.”
There’s an opportunity here. I can be like that Halper guy and write a paper on the matter for $1M or so, or maybe write the new regulations.
You just know that some smart guy is slapping on a wig when he gets arrested.

So Trump canceled the summit because the North Koreans are saying mean things? You can’t expect them to sound conciliatory when the U.S. demands unconditional surrender before the talks begin.

Aha, a topic that perks my interest. Yep, now that tranny babies are a protected class, that changes everything….from Women’s Retreats, women only spas (no testicles allowed) to rape crisis centers and battered women’s shelters. Even during the Women’s March after Trump’s Inauguration, there was dissent and butthurt feeling by tranny babies because the pussy hats and female genitalia costumes implied you had to have a vagina to be a women. They were quite offended with that vagina message? There is a victim in every crowd. Can’t please everyone, I reckon.
Rather than plow over covered ground, this is the crux of the problem from some Born Woman point of view:
You have to be Born Woman to understand what it is like to be a woman. Only one born as a woman knows what it is like to experience discrimination and 2nd class status in a male dominated world. Only one Born Woman knows the embarrassment of menstrual spotting on clothing in public, being told you can’t do this or that by men, that boys are better…..i e., you have to be Born Woman and grow up as a woman to know what it is like to be a woman. Tossing a wig on and donning high heels with a leather teddy ain’t ever going to replace what it is like to be a woman.
Our Vancouver advocate who has faced tremendous backlash for her Born Woman Only stance at Canada’s oldest rape and battered women’s shelter says tranny babies are free loading off the true Women’s Movement and they should stop. “Transgenders: Start you own movement, create your own advocacy groups and lobbyists, build your own shelters and membership lists, fund your own non profits and quit freeloading on our long hard fought for movement.”….to paraphrase.
The main problem is IF gender is just a social construct AND trannies are a protected class, then you cannot weed out the fakers and takers. You cannot say they aren’t really true Transgenders or challenge them. They are a protected class and are women if they say they are a woman. And to add to the debate, many women’s shelters (and homeless shelters) have areas just for mothers with children. Children are there as well. Something to ponder.
I always felt the transgender movement has done more harm than good. I know a couple of older “drag queens” who never had a problem walking into a “Dolls” bathroom for over 30 years and are gainfully employed. They live their lives and are not given any lip going about their business.. If, say, at a Denny’s eating breakfast, they get up and use the Ladies Room with impunity and no eyebrows raised. The tranny movement has made it worse for them now as it brought attention of “which bathroom to use”, etc.
The tranny in Scene’s link is not a perv, just a lesbian “woman” with dingleballs under her skirt. I kinda think this whole issue is just a lame e cause for some brut to say he is a non Born Woman female and gleefully takes the opportunity to take a big dump in the Ladies’ lavatory. Men are such filthy beasts and oh so vain.

Well, so far Trump has freed 8 Americans (3 from N. Korea) without swapping murderous terrorist Islamonazis without giving the captive takers millions upon millions of dollars. I say he has done more than his predecessors. Obama got a deserter back at a very high cost.
Trump was right to walk away…for now. These things take time. If Kim wants to say mean things about Pence, then screw him. We will talk when fat fuk rocket man has a better attitude. Like China, he needs us more than we need him….at the table for his political and literal survival. He has much more to lose than we do. Much more. Like Venezuela, he is incapable of feeding his own people…and now the army.
But, it’s good we are having communications with the figurehead of the hermit kingdom. Can’t hurt.
Looks like Trump learned from our negotiating with the North Vietnamese. Every time they got pounded by our bombers, they ran to the table for “peace talks.”…then halted everything arguing over the size of the table, lol. What a bunch of horse pucky. Hell, Bernie honeymooned in the USSR and stopped by Paris to check out the peacenik talks.

Now, I don’t doubt that the (D) will gain some House seats.
The interesting thing would be to see a tiny House majority for Team Blue. Lotsa talk about ‘vestigations and impeachment and whatnot, probably a bunch of gridlock in terms of law making (maybe it’s just as well).
I’d expect to see GEOTUS to lead Obama-style, swing to an all EO kind of deal with the occasional setback due to a court decision. My predictive ability is broken so I’ll probably just have to coast with whatever happens. The future is uncertain but the end is always near.

Look out ya po’ ol’ fakenewsman you have competition for king of fakenews –
Social activist and the Intercept columnist Shaun King is being widely slammed for pushing a story about a state trooper sexually assaulting a woman that has been discredited when police body camera footage did not corroborate the story. The controversial King has backtracked and deleted damaging social media posts in which he said the trooper committed “rape” – but it’s too late for many critics.
Sherita Dixon-Cole had accused Officer Daniel Hubbard of sexual assault during a traffic stop on Sunday and King was quick to push her version of events. Earlier this week, King appeared on Radio 103.9 in New York and pushed the now-discredited story as if it were already proven to be accurate.

Yep. I for one, don’t think Fat Fuk Kim will ever give up his nuke play things. But, making it this far and opening the door is a good start. He will be back to his saber rattling and threatening the whole world as he has done so many times in the past.
Kim had the whole world on edge late last fall. People where even saying he is going to launch nukes anyway now. But, I figured he would behave until the South Korean Winter Olympics as over, which he did. He was on his best behavior during and after the Olympics.
Round two will come around sooner than later. What, it’s only been 60 years or so working on this thang.

GeorgeB 1038am – Mr Boardman, I’m wondering whether you picked up President Trump’s objective and preconditions – all publicly and repeatedly stated – that ‘denuclearizing’ the Korean peninsula was the sole purpose of the summit with the Ugly Fat Kid. And everything proceeded with that understanding until now. If you missed it, I can see your consternation. But for the record, I and mine are proud of the President’s immediate response while leaving an opening on the odd chance that the UFK may see a benefit to his survival if he reconsiders.
It does interest me though to learn what your response would have been had you known of President Trump’s long-stated preconditions for the summit, especially in the context of our having played unsuccessful patti-cake with the Kims for the last 60+ years.

Rachel Dolezal, the former NAACP chapter leader who resigned after her parents revealed she’s not African-American, is facing a felony theft charge in Washington state after she allegedly made false statements to secure nearly $9,000 in food and childcare assistance.
The charges against Dolezal, who changed her name to Nkechi Diallo in October 2016, were first reported by KHQ-TV.
Dolezal is also charged with perjury and making false verification for public assistance.
Dolezal resigned as head of the Spokane NAACP chapter in June 2015 after her parents told local media that she had been born white and was merely posing as a black activist. She also was fired from a police ombudsman commission and lost her job teaching African studies at Eastern Washington University.

“Fact: Uneducated, low income workers are leaving California while those with a higher education are streaming in. Must be the fault of progressives.”
I’d say it’s more the fault of illegal aliens. There’s less and less in California for the working class, especially in things like construction. OTOH, professional people seem to be leaving NY and NJ for California. Red vs. Blue is hardening up. Hopefully your own graduate degrees hold you in good stead, although ‘streaming’ might be a bit overstated.
Of course, the reason there’s so many illegal aliens probably has a bit to do with progressives. The dream of a small eloi class with an unlimited number of inexpensive gardeners, roofers, and fast food workers may yet be achieved.

If California continues being successful in producing fortunes for a few (no reason not to), it’ll be interesting to watch the amount of physical security go up. More serious gated communities (hopefully with excellent writers of editorials for the local rag), technical solutions for home security, more aggressive policing, I can easily imagine the future results.

“Yet, in reality, this may prove to be wishful thinking. A dive into Internal Revenue Service data shows distinctly that, while poor people are, indeed, leaving, the largest group of outmigrants tends to be middle-aged people making between $100,000 and $200,000 annually. They may not be ideal algorithm creators for Facebook, but they do constitute the solid middle ranks critical to any healthy economy.”

Under the category “ Be Careful What You Wish For”.
“If Twitter is a public forum where users have First Amendment rights, that could make Twitter bans unconstitutional as well. It might also have knock-on implications for other social media platforms, like Facebook. That would present a huge problem for Jack Dorsey and other Masters of the Universe, who continue to purge conservative users from their platforms.
The wording of the judge’s ruling is unambiguous on this point, stating “the viewpoint-based exclusion of the individual plaintiffs from that designated public forum is prescribed by the First Amendment.”
Furthermore, the second part of the judge’s ruling, that public figures have no right to block users on social media in response to their political views, also has implications that range far beyond Trump.
Even if it’s argued that the ruling is narrow and only meant to apply to public figures (maybe even arguing that it applies only to the U.S. president), that still has implications for Twitter’s enforcement policy. A Twitter-wide ban cuts users off from the feeds of public figures with even more finality than a block. So too does a shadowban.
To put it another way: if Americans have a constitutional right to access the Twitter feeds of public officials, that means that no one — neither the President nor the CEO of Twitter — is allowed to prevent them doing so.
So, no more bans for American Twitter users then.
Thanks, Verified Liberals!

M is hitting the sauce again tonight…heavy as usual. Mommie must be asleep and he is on the Internet without parental supervision. And the NFL is privately owned as well and free speech applies only to government prohibitions. But, liberal judges see things not as the laws are written, but how things should be. What, you wan’t lit-o-me banned from FB? I am wounded.
Legal opinions are like M….everybody has one.

Ah yes, I remember our local “news director” freaking out and becoming unhinged about Citizen Trump’s comments concerning NATO being a friggin free loader. Unglued. But, but, but, they cannot afford to pay their dues and We must pay their freight……and what about the poor hungry uneducated illiterate man from Shithole, Central America who is just trying to support his family of 9 and provide them with a better life!?!?!?!?!?
Trump is a bad man. Guess our Popinjay and those that live behind fenced compounds do not understand thinking outside the box. Makes sense considering the isolation from reality.
Consider a specific example of an international encounter where Mr. Trump is thinking anew. During the presidential campaign, then-candidate Donald Trump had this to say about NATO: “NATO is costing us a fortune and yes, we’re protecting Europe with NATO, but we’re spending a lot of money. I think the distribution of costs has to be changed. I think NATO as a concept is good, but it is not as good as it was when it first evolved.” He later added, “I think NATO may be obsolete.”
His bottom line: Members are not meeting their spending commitments. They have to pay up.
Mr. Trump said that many times, and every time he did, the political establishment of both parties went crazy. They said it was an outrage that he would talk that way.
Well, at least most of the political establishment felt that way. At that time, former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld — who also served at one time as the American ambassador to NATO — said to me, “Ed, I don’t understand it. When I was ambassador to NATO and then when I was defense secretary, I would go around giving dinner speeches saying that Europe had to spend more on NATO, and all I did was put everyone to sleep. Trump says the exact same thing, and everyone dumps on him.”
