“Gentlemen(??) – cut the crap on your gratuitous comments on each other’s sexual preferences and histories. ”
If you can’t fight about public policy, and really have no case to make, you fight about Trump’s personal life.
I’d be as happy as anybody to argue about health policy, border enforcement, The Fed, etc. but really all the California-White-Left has is a piss-poor version of the National Enquirer.
It’s a peculiar thing, really. Most groups, typically ethnic but not always, act in a self-interested manner. The Briar Patch/KMVR hippies possess a mysterious sort of Prime Directive that I’ve never understood.

Scenes, so true. The left as shown in these comments by jon and Bobbie always go personal. Attacking me for marriage and now even denigrating my mom. But that is what they are all about. We defeat their ideas at every turn so they go personal. They remind me of a twelv-year-old girl.

Walt@10:04 AM In many cases for the need for secrecy is the desire to hide the data used in the study. When the data and the analysis software is made public, another scientist can repeat the analysis and in many cases come up with a different answer. That was true of Michael Mann’s Global Warming Hockey Stick. Mann’s code produced a hockey stick regardless of the data provided according to Steve McIntire and Ross McKitrick in a detailed analysis.
When the science is done with public research money, the research result belongs to the people who paid for the research the taxpayers, therefore no secret research allowed.

Amazing that Trump is using the easter egg roll to brag about how great the economy is despite this alarming bit of news about the stock market-worst 1st quarter since 1929
“If you feel like the second quarter has begun badly, you’d be right.
U.S. stocks are on track to have their worst April start since 1929, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The S&P 500 index slumped 2.4 percent as of 1:10 p.m. in New York, a rout exceeded only by its 2.5 percent decline 89 years ago, a prelude to the devastating crash later that year that brought on the Great Depression. (Back then, the index only comprised 90 stocks.)

Hey Bessee, is this a good entry point for the Trump stock market, or should I wait until after the dear leader’s next market-crushing outburst?
Remember that terrific trade deal Trump beat out of the Koreans, the one that will let us export 50,000 cars a year to Korea? Well, the current quota is 25,000, and we export about 10,000 cars–apparently, they don’t like our cars.
No wonder the Koreans think they got off easy.

Not for you @ 150, the DOW was around 18k when you bailed out. I have not heard about a bunch of dividend stocks suspending them, has anyone? Boardman, you sound a lot like the guy who wants to make a new bet after every round of a championship fight.
As to the cars, S.K. gave us a cap of cars that had our safety standards, it went from 10 to 50k. They have poison pill local safety items that are just barriers. SO yes, a 5 fold increase in access is a good thing. That and the other balancing.
Since we are in the sand box how about this hot stinky one- Debbie Wasserman-Schultz’s criminal paki tech staffer Awan, who looks a lot like a paki spy, was given a background check waiver by all 44 Dems who hired them!

    Here’s a nice story.
    https://spectator.org/california-commits-massive-medicaid-fraud/
“California is indeed the Golden State where Medicaid is concerned. The HHS Office of Inspector General (OIG) has found that, by exploiting Obamacare’s expansion of the program, California has enrolled hundreds of thousands of ineligible adults in Medicaid. Consequently, the state has bilked the federal government out of more than $1 billion in funding to which the state was not entitled. Indeed, these figures probably understate the amount of money that California officials have fraudulently extracted from the taxpayers. The OIG sampled a mere six-month period, from October 1, 2014 through March 31, 2015, to arrive at its damning assessment.”

    Daily Quotes:
For the record: “As a factual matter, a shoddy cover-up of an extramarital tryst with a porn star a decade before Donald Trump became president would be a trifle compared to the oft-repeated but never established claim of Trump collusion with Russia. As a legal matter, though, when highly aggressive prosecutors are circling, any kind of something is always more perilous than nothing.” —Andrew McCarthy
The BIG Lie: “I favor changing the Second Amendment. Yeah, repeal it. … You know who started the Second Amendment? It was southern senators so they could ward off slave uprisings.” —Larry King
Non Compos Mentis: “My armed guards aren’t killing children and don’t have semi automatic weapons.” —”comedian” Chelsea Handler
Victimitis: “I was really struck by how people said that to me — you know, mostly people in the press, for whatever reason — like, ‘Oh, you know, go away, go away.’ … They never said that to any man who was not elected. I was kind of struck by that.” —Hillary Clinton
Braying Jenny: “As I watched the first two episodes of the ‘Roseanne’ reboot, I thought again about accountability. I laughed, yes, and enjoyed seeing the Conner family back on my screen. My first reaction was that the show was excellent. But I could not set aside what I know of Roseanne Barr and how toxic and dangerous her current public persona is. … This fictional family, and the show’s very real creator, are further normalizing Trump and his warped, harmful political ideologies.” —New York Times’ Roxane Gay

And last… “[Laura] Ingraham’s original tweet was so incredibly innocuous that I don’t believe any single human in the country was actually hurt or offended by it. This is all a charade. A game. We shouldn’t play it. I disagree with Ingraham’s comments, I think they were dumb and unnecessary, but if you claim the response is AT ALL proportional to the offense, that only shows you are a disingenuous opportunist.” —Matt Walsh

We’ll see where the market stands a year from now if Trump insists on pressing his ill-conceived trade war. The only guaranteed outcome is that American consumers will pay higher prices and people will lose their jobs.

The market was 17,888 for the week before the election.,, a 1000 point bounce after the election. The nearly 27000 peak in late January was irrational exuberance. There might be more to a correction, don’t celebrate too hard if it keeps going down for awhile.

    1) That’s My Gal’s Best Friend Foverever, Scary Debbie whatzername Shultz. Update:
This week The Daily Caller reported, “Every one of the 44 House Democrats who hired Pakistan-born IT aides who later allegedly made ‘unauthorized access’ to congressional data appears to have chosen to exempt them from background checks, according to congressional documents.”
    https://patriotpost.us/articles/55112-background-checks-take-a-back-seat-with-dem-it-aides
    2) Backlash Against Sinclair Broadcasting…with video. How cool.
That’s innocuous enough … until you watch the compilation, which is meant to make this sound like it’s a sinister propaganda effort. But “this happens across the country all the time,” notes Erick Erickson. “It’s only a big deal now because Sinclair is calling out the rest of the media so the rest of the media is responding.” And boy are they responding. “Expertly creepy,” “frightening,” “chilling,” “this should freak you out,” “propaganda” — those are just some of the criticisms leveled by Leftmedia talkingheads, uniformly and without a corporate script.
    Who’s guilty of groupthink again?
It’s fair to argue that Sinclair’s effort is pro-Trump bias coming from local news. But the phony outrage is being driven by the Democrat/MSM Propaganda Machine, which so vastly outweighs local media in terms of coverage and influence it’s laughable. These leftist propaganda mouthpieces are throwing stones from a glass house.

Personally, I’d amp up the anti-trust division of the DOJ to a far higher degree than it is, it strikes me as one of the few bona fide activist uses of the federal government, but Amazon really isn’t there yet.

I’d say that the main point of the Sinclair situation was to produce a pointed message to the talking heads and writing staff, not to the public at large. It was a bit of knee-bending to remind them they aren’t a branch of the DNC. Dunno how much writing control comes down from on high, but network TV/radio stations certainly could stand to do a bit more news and a bit less personal editorializing.
