Oh Don, Kobe was raised in France or some place like that so it makes sense. Americans are so uptight about sex.
Noticed they weren’t black gowns on the Red Carpet, so it’s time to declare victory and move on. The casting couch will remain as the career enhancer it has always been. Actors are the most neurotic people on earth and live with their heads in the clouds, but not far from applause. And the couch is the way to the applause. You really do love me! They need to be loved….or maybe Kobe and Ryan Seacrest are the first signs of Male pushback. Black gowns went the way of pussy hats. Milo was right again!

Gary Oldman won the Best Actor Oscar last night. I did not watch them. He was fantastic as Churchill in “The Darkest Hour”. Of course he saved western civilization almost single handily with his people. But what fascinates me about what he did is , no one gets taught any of that these days. A true hero and man for the ages, Churchill who mother was an American, should be revered as we revere Washington.

Oh Mary Wannabe @ this am: that is Little Metrosexual Fat Kim’s thinking.
Trump is just in line with some other Republican Presidents….Ike, and then Nixon with Detente. Reagan with his toning down his evil empire rhetoric after Gorbachev implemented bold new policies and openness called glasnost and perestroika. Peace through strength, America First. Gorbie even asked Reagen to come Moscow U to give a speech on economics. Secretary of State George Shultz, a former Standford economics professor, secretly was teaching/informing Gorbbie on economics and economic systems the USSR could implement. In Reagen’s case, it wasn’t just about human rights in forgein countries,. It was about communism, a system seen as an existential security threat to America, a nation founded on personal liberty, individualism, and uniquity.
I, for one, was hoping for a real reset in dealing with Russia. What SJW’s call intersectionality I call confluence, where mutual interests and benefits meet. Fighting ISIS the most obvious example. Never being blind to Russia’s bad behavior, but isolating Russia lets China run roughshod over neighbors as it expands its terrority and claims spheres of influence, including building roads and trade routes straight across the southern former USSR’s terrority above China’s border.
Also, I am opposed to the expansion of NATO. One little country going through the process of becoming NATO’s newest member boasts of a standing army of 6,000. Want to be engaged in a war with Russia over some tiny speck on the map I cannot even remember the name of because NATO is expanding eastward right up to Russia’s borders? Expansion of NATO eastward is an extensional threat to Russia.
My hopes for peace through strength and mutual points of benefits instead of being entangled in unneccesry foreign conflicts in shithole countries while trying to push our democracy down their throats has been challenged with the Russian Collusion hysteria. Diminished, but not squelched. I don’t see Trump invading Libya or Venezuela. The State Department under Obama (Hillary) was diverting funds for Embassy security around the globe to built electric car recharging stations in Paris and push for LGBTQ rights as a top diplomatic priority. America First should be our top 5 priorities.
Little Rocket manchild and Iran having nukes is an existential threat to the USA and must be stopped. Oh yeah, add the Supreme Leaders in Iran and North Korea to the list of dictators for life.

PaulE 1044am – It is clear, if past years’ evidence holds, that you will be carping for months anticipating the disaster about to befall the Republicans this November, as you quote poll after never-ending poll that amplifies your joy. A more meaningful and interesting tack you might take is actually to make a little book on the upcoming election – specifically, give us some odds on specific numbers of House seats turning toward Democrats. For example, give odds (or use a MAB) on the difference (Dems – Repubs) when the new House is sworn in January 2019. Then we can see the actual strength of your beliefs, and perhaps make appropriate wagers to elevate this matter above the otherwise layer of hot-air in which you will engulf us.

Well, a couple of months ago the genetic D vs R congressional poll had the D’s up 15, or the R’s down 15, depending on how you look at the same oak tree. Now it’s up/down only 9? That is a nice movement.
Of course, Congressional races really do get down to the local candidates, local issues, local interests more than Presidential contests Much depends on how good or bad of a Congressional district candidate each party runs. Roy Moore was a bad candidate in a heavly Red State and Scott Brown won a 59% victory in blue MA, to use Senate races as an example. Yes, those were outliers. Congressional races have been decided on a candidates’s position on an proposed increase on DMV fees, which has nothing to do with Congress. Go figure.
Will gun control be a top issue in November? Illegal immigration has staying power. The economy? A new rogue foreign country saber rattling? Will it just be a referendum on Trump or Nancy? Or…..something that has not appeared over the horizon as of this writing?
So far, the movement of 6 points since the tax cuts has been slightly encouraging. Slow and steady. From the first week of March to the first Tuesdayin November is several lifetimes in political circles.. Once a candidate gets Big Mo behind him/her, there is nothing to stop him/her from victory no matter how far down they are today. Big Mo is momentum. It creates is own energy.

My post illuminated two undeniable facts. First, the midterms historicaolly have not been kind to the prevailing party-look at the past three midterms for proof on that contention. the second is that in in comparing polls with the last two midterms the Republicans have lost considerable ground as evidenced by thei8r 9 point deficit at the current time.
How this will play in the fall elections will reveal itself in fundraising and allegiance to Trump whom many candidates may see as a liability. The Russia probe will go on even if Trump attempts to fire Mueller because much of the investigation is now in the hands of a Grand Jury that will not be effected by a Mueller firing.
We’ll know soon but things do not look good for the Republicans in the House. The Senate is a tougher task though due to their being more vulnerable Democrats up for re-election than Republicans.

Now Paul.. Just what will Proggys running for office stump on?
” I hate Trump” ain’t going to get them vary far.

Of course the Oscars had their ratings drop. Who wants to watch a bunch of perverts, pedophile supporters, sexual harassers, or airheads who spread their legs to get ahead in life?
When you think about it, the Metoo# movement designed to take down Weinstein’s and expose bad behavior in the entertainment industry actually painted an accurate picture of the entire entertainment industry. Sure, it took down Senator Stuart Smiley, a few broadcast heavies, and a handful of others in the book publishing and art world along with a couple of clothing designers worn by models on the runway. But, all in all, the Metoo# movement was so concentrated on Hollywood, who wants to watch those folks?

If the Russians interfered in our elections, why isn’t Meuller asking to see Hillary’s e-mails? There are Russian fingerprints all over the DNC, the Hillary Campaign, and Hillary herself. Why isn’t Meuller investigating who had contacts with the Clinton Campaign, who had contacts with low level Clinton advisors and did they have brief contacts with Russian businessmen years ago? Why haven’t Robbie Mook’s phone and bank records been subpenaed? Didn’t the Russians interfere with both campaigns, four if you add Bernie and Jill. Why are no Democrats under scrutiny for any contacts staff had with any Russians, no matter how brief or long ago? Why, why, why? :).

Quote from your Hillsdale article, and answers the Australian’s question:
“That said, Trump’s nascent presidency has coincided with perhaps the greatest violation of political norms this country has ever seen—a violation that has nothing to do with Trump’s behavior. Since the election last November, there has been a sustained, coordinated attack on Trump’s legitimacy as president following his victory in a free and fair election. This has the potential to cause far more lasting damage to America than Trump’s controversial style.”
Bam. Exactly. That pretty much sums up the main point of the Green Libertarian prattle.

If you’ve ever wished someone a “Merry Christmas” or said “God bless you” when someone sneezes, you’ve committed an act of “Islamomisic microaggressions,” according to college librarians at a Massachusetts college.
The Anti-Oppression Library Guide at Simmons College in Boston is a collaborative effort among the school’s librarians, reported CampusReform.org.
“Islamomisic Microaggressions are commonplace verbal or behavioral indignities, whether intentional or unintentional, which communicates hostile, derogatory, or negative slights in relation to the beliefs and religious practices of Muslims,” the librarians argue. “They are structurally based and invoke oppressive systems of religious/Christian hierarchy.”

Well that explains why snowflakes don’t seem to have blood flow to their brains!
Youn suffers from “tech neck,” or forward head syndrome, a painful, increasingly common condition caused by slumping over devices for hours a day that leads the neck to lose its natural curve — and triggers a physiological imbalance in the upper body. Previously seen in middle-aged-or-older desk jockeys and dentists who hunch over patients, it’s now materializing in younger generations who grew up with smart phones, tablets and other personal devices.
“Now, 20-year-olds have the spine health of a 30- or 40-year-old. It’s an epidemic,” says Kang.

Yep, Drunk George even had his girlfriend believing that he was a big time mover and shaker Adviser to Trump and the Trump Campaign.. So, the small fry Big Time Charlie legend in his own mind Georgie Porgey tells the guy he is drinking with that an old professor he knew told him that he (the professor) heard Russia has Hillary’s missing 30,000 e-mails, ROFLMAO. That was all it took to open the full blown all out assault on Trump.
