    lol.
Our good friend Paul sez: “Did you dig ditches for anyone famous Walt?”
    wow.
I can’t say that he has, but digging ditches is a more honorable trade than singin’ railroad songs and avoiding taxes on the few sheckels made doing it.
It’s a real testimony to modern life that so many people can do so little valuable work and still get by.

    re: PaulE@1:51PM
You know, that’s a fair question. My assumption is that musicians who play for cash just pocket their wages. Perhaps you’ve always been above board on your IRS reportings.
So….have you reported all the income you’ve made as a musician through the years? I’ve certainly paid a share of every penny I’ve made.
As to whether people who dig ditches are more valuable than musicians, I think it’s inarguable. Civilization is built atop the efforts of blue collar workers, not entertainers.
Have you always paid 100% of your taxes owed?

Hang on..I think my post disappeared. Again….
    re:PaulE@1:51PM
I think that’s a fair criticism. My assumption is that bar musicians simply pocket their earnings without reporting their income. Perhaps you’ve always paid your tithe to the government? You’ve gotten a 1099 from every gig? Reported income from those you didn’t?
If so, I apologize. So…have you always reported your income to the government? I certainly have.
As to whether blue collar workers or small town entertainers built the civilized world, I’ll always vote for the former. I can’t help but feel that digging is a more valuable and honorable trade than playing the guitar for money. We can do without the latter, but the former is a mandatory thing to build a society, or even a dry roof over your head. To reiterate, it takes a rich society to afford people who don’t earn their keep in the most straightforward way, everyone else is a sort of hanger-on.

Played three private events where the Governor was in attendance. He was a very nice man, always took a little time to listen to the music and have a few words with us. Also we played at the wedding of Sal Russo. I don’t need to tell you who he is. This was a couple weeks after the election and the Gov was not in attendance, he was on vacation. those events are probably what caused the Gov’s office to call us and ask us to play for the Queens reception when she visited the Capital in ’83.
Thanks for the opportunity to promote myself.
By the way Todd, tell us about CABPRO, not that everybody doesn’t already know.

“Have you paid your taxes Scenes? I have”
Well, why yes. I’ve never had an opportunity not to.
I guess I have to apologize then. It takes a better man than I to count up the tip jar (or the cash payment from a venue), put it in a book somewhere, and then report it all to the IRS at the end of the year.
    You are probably 1 in a 1000.
Todd…you and Paul need to get a room.
re: Trump’s taxes. I assume that they are exotic, it’s the nature of property development. Truth is, he probably would have made more money throwing his inheritance into a mutual fund, but it wouldn’t have been as much fun. I can’t judge whether there was any outright larceny involved, probably just a good attorney. The most interesting tax situations are the wealthy politicians who have never had a job outside of government. I’d love to watch the cash flow into Maxine Water’s pockets or the outright criminality of the Clinton Foundation…It’s an interesting moral point really, is it more virtuous to push your taxes to the bare minimum? or to make a living off of forms of bribery? It appears that fatcat Republicans do the former, Green Libertarians the latter.

What else should be tacked on? Say, harboring fugitives?
If one warns other cars on the road about a speed trap ahead, that’s criminal too.

I wonder what they talked about. After all, Jared did have a higher security clearance then. All of the revelations coming out about the Trump crime family must be really beginning to wear on folks.

Hope spends 9.5 hours being grilled on the hill, then Trump jumps her for admitting to telling white lies and then she quits 30 minutes later. Expect her to spill the beans like a dropped can of Van de Camps. Would be no surprise if he was banging her when Melania and Barron weren’t looking.
Would be no surprise if she takes him to the woodshed . . . and back. I bet Trump is more afraid of her testimony than any other. Can’t wait for the fireworks!!! Then again she might simply disappear to her own Fantasy Island worth hundreds of millions with no income to show for it.

Facebook can expect scrutiny given Donald Trump’s appointment of Brad Parscale as his 2020 election campaign chief. Parscale was the Trump campaign’s digital guru in 2016, and credited Facebook as the crucial factor in Trump’s victory. If Trump’s reach and engagement are being disproportionately cut back on the world’s biggest social network, it’s unlikely to escape his notice.
When compared to high-profile Democratic political figures, Trump’s engagement appears to have been hit particularly badly. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders do not appear to have suffered a comparable decline in Facebook engagement.
    http://www.breitbart.com/tech/2018/02/28/exclusive-trumps-facebook-engagement-declined-45-percent-following-algorithm-change/
Did the WH know about this and was this why Parscale was appointed now? Kinda looks that way!

Howdy. Reading the last comments, I would say it’s time Trump grabs his Twitter Machine and sent out a couple tweets using the M word. Monopoly . Breakup. The Googles of the our nation were soiling their pants when Trump called them up all to the Tower all in a big circle. Yahoo or somebody got left out, no room wvailable. There were whispers about the M word. Anyway, I thought that was a perfect time to mention In passing the M word. But no. Trump walked it the room and said it was the first time in his life that he was the poorest guy in the room. Funny man.
M word will get their attention. We can talk here about Ma Bell and Taft. Bet Punchy finds a way to defend monopolies.
