Gregory 457pm – Don’t really understand your problem since I didn’t quote Haley, but do express enthusiastic endorsement of our expecting support for our positions that don’t explicitly contradict the other country’s interests (which the Jerusalem issue did not for the many/most who condemned us). And I have no idea what a country’s “respect for our sovereignty means” when their walk does not match their talk.

Here’s an idea for something more profitable, under ‘Sweeping Tax Bill …’ why don’t you expound on your assessment of this historic legislation? Or, under ‘Scattershots …’ take a shot at the population migrations across California’s borders. Let us know you thoughts on these, because you have really saturated everyone here on both sides of the aisle re your attitude toward President Trump – broken records and all that.

I’m trying to remember – where in the Constitution is this “separation of church and state”?
For the slow and the left (I know, redundant)- The first Amendment:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”
So – what religion has Trump ‘established’? I kinda think he’s doing that ‘free exercise’ thingie.
The good folks that wrote that made it clear it meant that there would be no official state religion.
If Trump wants to promote folks that also want to ‘exercise’ their God given freedoms, more power to him.

1)The term “Separation of Church and State” comes from a letter President Jefferson wrote in 1802 to the Baptists in Danbury, Connecticut, and “published in a Massachusetts newspaper soon thereafter.”
Means to me the Establishment Clause means government cannot get their hands into religion, but religion can get there hands into government. It’s a one way street. Government, keep out.
2) Haitians are not a race, thus pointing out their propensity for carrying AIDS is not racist. Neither Mexicans, Jamaicans, Puerto Ricians, Panamanians, or Norwegians are a race, FYI. Not a racist comment by definition. Words have meanings.
3) Nigerians in huts. Now, why would anyone be pleased with issuing visas and temporary residency status to unskilled, uneducated, and penniless people living in huts? Why relish the thought of putting them all on free or next to free housing (Section 8), very generous cash assistance, Social Security Retirement Income if elderly, free medical, food, free education if desired , social workers at their beck and call, language tutors, etc, from the moment they arrive until the day they die here. What exactly do they bring to the table except being totally dependent on government and instantly becoming a ward of the state, like permantely? What skills to they bring that our country needs? Why bring them here while we have the skilled and highly educated bi-lingual folks waiting in the wings willing to sell their left nut just to kiss sacred US soil?
I know the answer. It’s because…..because….because they don’t look like us, right? Did I get the answer correct? Oh, what do I win? Or, is the real answer is we need the Nigerians to replace the unauthorized (illegal) alien foreign nationals that will get the boot from here sooner or later? Did I get that right as well? Well, there has to be a reason besides “because.” Maybe is a multifaceted nuanced answer. Why bring the hut dwellers here???? It will cause overcrowding on our river banks and squeeze available low income housing units. Off with their visas.
4). Judging by #2 and #3 above, it looks like Trump is turning his attention to immigration reform. Amazing. No vacation, no week of victory laps. Trump just rolls up his sleeves, barks out, “Chop, Chop, people, we don’t work for the Red Cross. Next to get done is immigration and then……Chop, Chop people. Move with a purpose and don’t be clock watchers.”
Does he ever sleep? President Trump is an animal.

Clearly. Meaning that he knew it was illegal. I forgot I was dealing with a person of very little knowledge. Just because you aren’t convicted doesn’t mean what you did wasn’t illegal. Perhaps Paul can think of all the things he has done that are illegal yet not convicted for. Once again you are exposed as some one with highly convenient and agile moral convictions. You are just a bag of wind.
