[Does anyone think that, absent Donald Trump's presidency, we would ever have heard anything more of Hillary's extended career of corruption and criminality?  Me neither.  gjr]

So more on Moore, Todd and Walts guy, about how great this country was during the time of slavery.
n response to a question from one of the only African Americans in the audience — who asked when Moore thought America was last “great” — Moore acknowledged the nation’s history of racial divisions, but said: “I think it was great at the time when families were united — even though we had slavery — they cared for one another…. Our families were strong, our country had a direction.”
    Also this gem.
At the same event, Moore referred to Native Americans and Asian Americans as “reds and yellows,” and earlier this year he suggested the September 11 terrorist attacks were divine punishment.

PaulE 1007am – It appears that according to your lights, our country was uniformly bad when our families were “united” and “strong”; bad enough that even the good parts should not be referenced today when referring to that period of slavery – e.g. de Tocqueville et al grossly erred in their then assessment of America. BTW, I would have answered that question of Moore differently, but still in the same sense that he meant it.

Oh, that smoking gun e-mail. At least the fakenews water carrier and town crier is consistent. Batting a 1,000.
“How CNN got its report so wrong is unclear.
The article states that its information was based on a read-out of the Trump Jr. email provided by an unnamed source. Trump Jr.’s lawyer, Alan Futerfas, speculated on Friday that the source was on the Democratic side of the House Intelligence Committee, which interviewed Trump Jr. earlier this week.
Erickson also appears not to be a super-secret Kremlin agent. The Post identified him as the president of an aviation management company”

The second domino in line and toppling over I will name ohr.
Who is Ohr? Byron York notes, “The department’s Bruce Ohr, a career official, served as associate deputy attorney general at the time of the campaign. That placed him just below the deputy attorney general, Sally Yates, who ran the day-to-day operations of the department. In 2016, Ohr’s office was just steps away from Yates, who was later fired for defying President Trump’s initial travel ban executive order and still later became a prominent anti-Trump voice upon leaving the Justice Department.”
So, along with Peter Strzok, Ohr becomes the second FBI official demoted or reassigned for actions during the investigation of Trump. Ohr’s case could be even more significant, however, because these were not interviews that were part of the investigation; they seem to be another kind of meeting. And he was even higher up in the Obama “Justice” Department than Strzok. And, like Strzok’s actions, it was information not disclosed by the FBI to House investigators, despite subpoenas covering such contacts. The House Intelligence Committee now plans to compel Ohr’s testimony.

George Moore celebrating family life at the time of slavery ignores what the black families were going through which was an absolute horror. And his yellow and Reds descriptions of native Americans and Asians is absolutely disgusting To think Trump and members of your blog support this ilk is tragically sad

Yes, Moore is a piece of work.
He wouldn’t be on the ballot next week in ‘bama had the allegations been dropped during the primary or at any time in the last four decades, leading me to expect whether or not Moore is guilty as charged of fondling an underaged but post-pubescent girl old enough to marry with parental permission, the timing of the campaign to finally take him out seems more aligned with election politics than morality.
10 quatloos on Al Franken not following through on his promise to skeddaddle unless Moore and Trump go with him. A further 20 quatloos say neither Trump or Moore comply.
