   PaulE 656pm – I believe that you are ignorant of what kills the 1300 children you cite. And again, you didn’t understand my 503pm. If a child kills someone with a gun, it is not the gun’s fault; it is the fault of the gun’s owner, unless the gun was stolen and its physical possession is no longer under the control of its lawful owner. It would be a relief for the whole country if the liberals could get a grip on the whole concept of their so-called “gun violence”. NONE, absolutely NONE, of their gun control palliatives have worked, as demonstrated by the gun deaths stats in decades-long Democrat controlled cities.

    The team at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.
    “They are the second leading cause of injury-related death in this age group, surpassed only by motor vehicle injury deaths.”
    Children are rarely hurt or killed by guns in other developed countries, the researchers pointed out.
    More than 90 percent of all children aged up to 14 who are killed by guns in high-income countries are killed in the U.S., they noted. ”

    Nope….as George has pointed out routinely, more legislation is demonstrably ineffective. Except for making proggie idiots “feel” like they’re addressing the matter.
    Personal responsibility is always good…..unfortunately that strikes at the heart of the democratic electoral base so I wouldn’t expect to see a call for that any time soon. Perhaps people should exercise more care picking unlicensed daycare facilities?

    In general I’m on board with your assessment Punch….in this instance though it is far more likely that there would be an “uncontrolled” firearm in a private residence than a daycare operated as a business.
    In any case gun control as a governmental initiative is dead. President O’Dummy (all praise be upon him) nailed the final nail in its coffin following his ascension! 130 million new firearms sold during his tenure……Gun Salesman of the Century…..the true Obama legacy!
