bun bun the coward. No McCain was complicit in the Keating Five and many people were hurt financially. Mostly old women. So then using your logic you are all about stealing the money for old women eh?
McCain is simply playing his cards like a spoiled child in the political sense. Trump outsmarted him and the others in a political sense. And sorry to say but you libs calling anyone a name like Il Douche is not credible anyway. Very childish coward you are as Yoda would say.

Come on Scott, Bush was such a bad President Trump wanted to impeach Bush for lying us into war.
Trump: “I was surprised that she didn’t do more in terms of Bush and going after Bush. It was almost — it just seemed like she was going to really look to impeach Bush and get him out of office, which, personally, I think would have been a wonderful thing.”
Blitzer: “Impeaching him?”
Trump: “Absolutely, for the war, for the war.”
Blitzer: “Because of the conduct of the war.”
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2016/feb/16/our-principles-pac/anti-trump-ad-says-he-backed-impeaching-bush/
Trump: “Well, he lied. He got us into the war with lies. And, I mean, look at the trouble Bill Clinton got into with something that was totally unimportant. And they tried to impeach him, which was nonsense. And, yet, Bush got us into this horrible war with lies, by lying, by saying they had weapons of mass destruction, by saying all sorts of things that turned out not to be true.”

Good to see things get back to normal after a day off. I knew that Keating 5 reference would get to a psychotic lib out there. Gotta smoke the varmits out.
Come on, what harm can pardoning a little 85 year old man convicted of a misdemeanor do? Like littering, can carry up to 6 months in jail and a couple thousand dollar fine. It’s not like he was drunk in public or spitting on the sidewalk.
Still hyperventilating over little 70 year old Trump?? Geez, get a life. The Dems hate him, the R’s despise him, the media goes ballistic over him. Poor Trump. Just one lonely solitary man with a Tweeter Machine. No one wants to be seen standing next to the novice, nobody.
Donald Trump is but one mere simpleton, alone in a cruel hostile environment. He is still swinging from the rigging, playing pirate above the entire Spanish Armada, high above with but a knife in his teeth as hundreds of muskets and flint lock below take aim at him. He does not have a chance, nary a prayer of hope. Go ahead, gang up on the old man. You guys win, Trump is toast. But, in the meantime, let Trump have his delusions and fun. What harm can he really do? It’s not like he will accomplish anything. Relax, chill out. Enjoy watching him get torn to shreds s.
The media can easily take this guy Trump down. A cake walk for them. It’s what they do best. Add the Establishment of both parties, the Deep State, the bureaucracy that runs the system, the pundits, the beautiful people, the experts, the powerful, the leaders of every aspect of our nation, the demographics……Trump don’t have a snowball’s chance in hell.
They said he would be gone in a month, max. End of story. Best keep listening to them.

Bush II was fair to mediocre, winning elections thanks to Dems nominating Gore and then Kerry as the major party alternatives, not that there were any better choices waiting in the wings.
Trump was once a FOB/FOH and mostly Progressive. That was the old Trump speaking, Punchy 1006am. The current Trump is conservative, for how long is anyone’s guess.
A friend of mine, a former Arkansan Supreme court justice and FOB, closed his eyes and shook his head when I asked him what he thought about Bill lying under oath in an Arkansan civil court matter… perjury is never “unimportant” and President Clinton was impeached for it. It wasn’t “tried”, the House did impeach him. Had he been disbarred at the time the Senate probably would have removed him from office, too; the judge (a Gov. Clinton appointee) did him a favor by holding off the disbarring until the Senate swept it under the table.

McCain on the pardon:
““No one is above the law and the individuals entrusted with the privilege of being sworn law officers should always seek to be beyond reproach in their commitment to fairly enforcing the laws they swore to uphold,” McCain said in the statement. “Mr. Arpaio was found guilty of criminal contempt for continuing to illegally profile Latinos living in Arizona based on their perceived immigration status in violation of a judge’s orders. The President has the authority to make this pardon, but doing so at this time undermines his claim for the respect of rule of law as Mr. Arpaio has shown no remorse for his actions.”

You can understand what is going on. If you breathlessly watch for the Trumpnews of the day, it’s filtered in a few ways.
. Bias of urban coastal media organizations. I’d say that it’s hard to argue with that regardless of the ‘what about Fox!’ , ‘what about AM talk radio!’ rejoinders
. The strong tendency towards tabloid/editorial style writing. It can’t be helped, that’s how you get internet hits…and that’s how you get paid. Even the weather websites succumb to that.
. High deadline pressure getting these guys to post news without fact checking, once again for clicks. The story either fades away (Russia) or there’s a retraction on the web equivalent of page 23.
Normal people are probably kind of tired of their crazy neighbor who goes on about TRUMP IS A NAZI BECAUSE THERE WERE SOME NAZIS AT THIS DEMONSTRATION AND SO EVERYONE THERE WAS A NAZI.

Favorite headline so far today: Story not so good, but it’s the headline that grabbed me.
“Trump’s Tone-Deaf Tweet About Hurricane Harvey Will Make You Want to Rip Your Hair Out”
And this horrifying tweet(s) to push the borderline deranged over the edge is…is…well, you figure it out.
1) First, Trump used the wrong words again. Bad, Trump, bad.
“But it didn’t stop there, as he fired off another tone-deaf tweet that solely acknowledged the government’s preparedness for the storm, rather than discussing the safety and needs of Texans in Harvey’s path”
2) The real motive of Trump’s Hurricane Harvey tweets exposed: Aha, I knew it!
“It seems like Trump is more interested in using the alarming circumstances of the storm as a platform to boast about the government’s preparedness. But other internet users think it goes deeper than that. Considering the fact that Trump snuck in a tweet about fully pardoning Sherriff Joe Arpaio (which caused a sh*tstorm of backlash) among his various tweets about Hurricane Harvey, some people believe he’s trying to cover up the news of the pardon.”

repubs are headed for a split down the road a little. After Trumps Legislative agenda fails this fall he’ll blame in on the REPUBLICAN PARTY (he already is0 and then off we go. Perot is back with predictable results.

Party Split? Or quasi-3rd Party?
Bill Tozer
Sessions did not agree with Sheriff’s Joes pardon either, so goes the rumor mill. That Trump is his own man.
The 3rd Party analogy to Trump is not perfect nor what pops into your head when you think of a 3rd Party, but I have been saying Trump and his Deplorables are in essence a 3rd Party. 9 months ago people pooh-poohed the notion when I brought it up. That is why I said with Trump we may get the Wall and Single Payer. He is not a Republican, but shares more conservative values with the Republican Party than with the Democrat Party.
Think about this. Both of the policial parties have the machinery, officebuildings, hired staff, boots on the ground, research, money, life long members, and donor lists in place. Think RNC and DNC. Currently, 3rd Parties have no such in place Machine of real substance and are basically insignificant, IMHO, Those ‘also rans’ are political parties in name only for all intents and purposes. So Bernie comes along. A self described socialist and life long registered Independent. Never was a registered Dem. But, he registered as a Dem, threw his hat in the ring, and was off and running with access to DNC research and lists. As soon as he lost, he immediately changed his Party affiliation back to Independent.
Who knows if Trump even bothered to vote in his adult life? He did not have to build a whole political party from the ground up. He just used the rules in place to his advantage. For the first 6-7 months of his campaign, he just used the polls he read straight from the newspapers, and cherry picked the ones he liked, lol. After the convention, he “borrowed” the RNC apparatus. In turn, the Republican Party “borrowed” him as their President.
Whether the Deplorables are mostly Republicans or not is not the issue. Many life long Dems voted for Trump, and many life long R’s are Nevertrumpers. That is just for the highest office. In the House, Governor, and most Senate races, people vote along party lines. Local issues can and do upset the apple cart, now and then. And a great local or State office candidate also comes out of the woodwork every now and then and pulls an upset. A sitting Governor of either party can be defeated on issues such as a DMV tax hike or some heated State or local issue. Think Grey Davis and Enron.
What is going on on both sides can be viewed as healthy infighting and power struggles within each major party. Or, it can be viewed (as I believe) as a quasi-3rd Party candidate almost beat the Party’s anointed one (My Gal) and on the other side, a quasi-3rd Party candidate took the whole enchilada. Or it can viewed as taking out the trash.
To sum up, I am talking just about the Presidential Race. “Quasi-3rd Party” label because to me the choice was Republican, Democrat, or Deplorable. Don’t think for a second any Republican or Deplorable in House races will ever vote for a lib, nor will a true lib or progressive or Democratic Socialist will ever vote for a conservative in district races. That goes for whoever is the current President.
The Flamers can attack the R’s all day long. It don’t affect Trump. He has the Deplorables behind him, not the “Republicans”, to nuance this further.
We don’t care what Trump says from the pulpit, or in front of a camera. Don’t care what or when or how often he tweets or travels. Don’t care, never have. He ain’t a politician and does not think or act like a politician. Only thing I care about is Trump sits his ass behind the desk, sharpen all his pencils, and work like the workaholic he is, getting down to business writing, signing, rolling things back, and rolling things forward til late in the evening behind his desk…whereever that desk is on a plane, in the Oval Office, or on vacation. That is what he was hired to do. Oh yeah, he was also hired to bloody a lot of noses, give some fat lips to the PC crowd and black eyes to the MSM. Both are dishonest and out of touch as the day is long. R or D or Deplorable?

Just an observer? Au contraire ya po’ ol’ fakenwesman, you are a party parrot who is consistently wrong in your wishful projections. You will never be able to remove the rank smell of Russian dressing you are covered with. Podesta, Podesta, Podesta. 😉

For the record, according to longstanding Rebane Doctrine there will be no third party without a fourth (fifth?) party. A three party political theater will usher in a functional one-party government. Everyone here should be lighting candles for Bernie and Pocahontas forming their own fourth party; or better yet, the first third party that will then surely reunite the Repubs.
