My, my. Headliner on Yahoo News is the Punchy story. Black KKK or something. Also, crowd was half as big as shown. Trump Deplorables doctored pics, and so much more salacious details!!
If that ain’t a big enough scandal that Punchy uncovered, here is a bigger one he missed. This one is too hot to handle and is growing legs!

Why on earth would ICE not be allowed around a courtroom? What possible justification is there for restricting them (or any other federal police for that matter). I’d love to hear a decent bit of reasoning for that attitude. Is Treasury or DEA not brought in if interested in a case?
It sure makes a mockery of the notion of federal ownership of certain functions.

Yes, tell us Gregory, how naive can you be?
First comes the frustration that we do not have the same (correct) concerns, passions, and alarmist reactions that we should have to this major breaking story. Then comes the doubling down. Then the frustration. Then the ole “by your silence I can assume you agree with me.” Then back to size of crowds by the Liar-in-Chief. Then, the “round and round it goes, where it stops nobody knows.”
It is an unreasonable demand to have others FEEL or act the way YOU want them to, Pablo. But, if it is of any comfort, I feel your pain.

“a county sheriff has stripped state law enforcement authority from the US Forestry Service.”
I get that, it’s sort of the inverse of sheriffs enforcing federal law. It’s a fine point, but arguable (as in Arizona…of course the feds had no intention of enforcing the law). But this seems more like a matter of access. Can the state physically block federal agents from entering or hanging out near state facilities? Can they pick and choose which federal agencies are allowed access?

So, for the sake of argument, could I have a state where, say, slavery was legal (or at least winked at) and then simply not allow federal agents anywhere in my county? It sounds to me like a sheriff could essentially nullify any federal law at all.
Maybe the US Civil War could have been easily avoided.
Even in modern times, if you are correct, a sheriff could essentially turn off all ICE activities within a county. I’m surprised that that hasn’t happened in somewhere like Pima County then.

I thought the courts settled the state’s rights vs Feds jurisdiction issue (immigration) when Arizona sued and lost under the previous Administration. The Feds own the immigration issue. And here I thought that losing the AZ case was a bad thang. :). Silly me. Never get tired of winning.
The caveat is that the Feds cannot force local LE to serve as their agents. Separation of powers kind of thing and boy are Santuary cities and county are fighting like mad now that the shoe is on the other foot. I want my Obaba back. Trump is a meanie.

You really have to wonder how bad (good) the situation is in the USA when folks are all up in arms because a multi millionaire black athlete isn’t signed to an NFL team.
He’ll never want for anything materially again in his life as long as he doesn’t blow away all of his wealth. He is wealthier than 99.99999% percent of everyone else in the world. He has entree to almost all of the halls of power, probably far more than most white millionaires. He pissed folks off and he’s not seen as a good prospect for most all NFL teams right now. As the season progresses he most certainly might get a call after some teams QB goes down with an injury, but for now he’ll have to just be famous and wealthy. Yet folks with out a pot to piss in who Kap wouldn’t give the time of day to are marching around screeching that this is just sooooo unfair. I would love to know just what these protesters want the NFL to do? I realize that not one single reporter has the intelligence to actually ask one of these idiots what they want the NFL to do.
Yes – we certainly are a terrible bunch of people, we Americans.
Maybe the reporters should go to Africa and ask some one on the street if they feel bad for Colin. After they explain who he is and how wealthy he is – and how he feels it’s his place to whine about the hand that has so generously fed him while on some one elses time and dime, they will probably laugh and say – “you’re putting me on, right?”
No – it’s real. Things have gotten that bad for Americans of African descent.
Just horrible.

I’m just wondering what in heck the protesters want the NFL to do?
It’s a freaking hobby or something for these people to simply walk around ‘protesting’. Probably not one of them has a clue about what is is they are marching around about. It is well known that left wing protesters either just mouth off boiler plate left wing slogans or they simply won’t talk to anyone asking them questions because they know they haven’t got a clue what they’re marching for.
The reporters are reluctant to ask because left wingers are also famous for assaulting the reporters. And those are the ‘peaceful’ protesters.

Years ago my teenage son taught me what we are experiencing today. If he had a problem that needed to be addressed you could not do so face to face because he’d immediately put up his guard to block any discussion. I discovered that if I talked to a third person in front of him about someone else with the same problem he’d listen. My relative in high Government places had the same teenage mentality. He went from college into government and didn’t have any idea about business outside government…so wouldn’t listen to what the deplorables had to say. I pulled the teenager tactic on him by talking to his best friend (in front of him) regarding what our government was doing to local businesses that was detrimental. His eyes got big listening to what was going on here in America while he was in Afghanistan helping our government pump up their economy at our expense. Unfortunately, this mentality is what President Trump and most knowlegable individuals are having to deal with. It’s very difficult.

Colin Kap, kinda.
Not about Kap specifically. When ESPN started to weave political commentary into sports, that sure put the kibosh on a good thing. Sports was the one place where you could escape politics completely and root for your team or just get away from the pressures of life and catch a game, any game. Quiet housewives were suddenly turned into screaming rabid fans on Sundays, neighbors who were on opposing sides of politics meeting for a Super Bowl party, hearing your neighbor whom you don’t know much about cheering down the street, watching the same game as you are as you are cheering yourself, the loner listening to a baseball game in his camperblate at night…..sports was a unifier in a world of partisan politics, racial, ethnic, and class divisions. Whole towns, cities, and communities around here were suddenly Kings fans and maniacs when Vlady and Mike Bibby almost took Sacramento to the house.
Ain’t much of a baseball fan, but darn near all of NorCal rocks when the Giants are on top, including ‘not that much into it moi’. Well, maybe not the A’s fans. :). But….sports is the unifier, win or lose. A source of community pride, be true to your school type of thing. The Great Escape, The Miracle on Ice, the biggest comeback, the biggest upset, the closest game…..sports. Life long fans and shared passions among strangers, despite the ups and downs of life.
But, noooo. Had to inject politics into the mix. Not new, but was mostly confined to international events like the Olympics. We boycotted the Moscow Olympics because the cheating doping USSR messing around in some place called Afghanistan, John Carlos and Tommie Smith raising the black first on the winner’s podium in Mexico City, and the Munich Olympics marred when the PLO blew up 8(?) Israelis on the tarmac. Very dark Games in ’72.
Now domestically, we got ESPN injecting PC into everything and seeing everything through the eyes of Idenity Politics first, the sporting event second. It really became more politicalized with “Hands up, don’t shoot!” and has gone downhill ever since.
The lefty self absorbed bedwetters are indeed a glum lot with no sense of humor or fun to be around….as I have pointed out countless times before. Every place, every thing they get their control freak claws into goes to shit. Now it’s sports. To the SJWs, Idenity Politics is not everything, it is the only thing, to weave a Vince Lombardi quote into this heavy gloomy dark saddening topic. Another bites the dust.
Kap? Welcome to the free market. He opted out of his contract and walked away. Probably a mutual parting of the ways with the 49ers. Despite how it’s spun, Kap ain’t no Jackie Robinson. And despite how it’s spun, the SJWs with their push for victimhood (their version of Idenity Politics) and can always be counted on to mess up a good thing and drag it down to their level in the abyss.

Most of us have figured it out already. When a conservative sight gets too many views or grows into a couple million daily hits (or less), that sight dramically loses the majority of its hits….as much as 90%, seemingly overnight. This dramatic choking off is not because of scandal or its content being outside of the normal boundaries.of socially accepted discourse.
The most popular conservative sites are big enough to raise a stink if it happened to them. Not so with the smaller less viewed sites. It’s here. It’s happening now.
