   Hey, it’s an out-of-power elite. They’ll do absolutely anything to get back the reins of power. It’s so deeply ingrained in human behavior that there’s no point in being surprised or angry about it.
   I do wish that this wasn’t the case, though:
   “Obama’s goal, according to a close family friend, is to oust Trump from the presidency either by forcing his resignation or through his impeachment.”
   It’s really bad form for an ex-President to seek the overthrow of a current one. I’ve never cared for Obama one way or the other, he simply strikes me as a highly ambitious man with an extreme ability to read a prepared text (like a news anchor), but this sort of thing is just plain dangerous. The primary point of a system of elections is not so much to apply the public’s will, but to reasonably deal with the age-old problem of succession. If true, Obama’s new hobby is playing with fire.

    Look at Sweden. The liberals there do not want their culture, their history, their language, or their borders. Neither do they want economic refugees to assilulate nor seek and obtain employment. Nah. They desire a whole new culture, a brand new civilization. Y-T is the old civilization, the old Europe. They long for a whole new shebang. Not a Muslim culture, but a global culture.     (S/NF) Background: Over two years ago Russia requested a ten-gram sample of highly enriched uranium (HEU) seized in early 2006 in Georgia during a nuclear smuggling sting operation involving one Russian national and several Georgian accomplices. The seized HEU was transferred to U.S. custody and is being held at a secure DOE facility. In response to the Russian request, the Georgian Government authorized the United States to share a sample of the material with the Russians for forensic analysis. Director Mueller previously planned to deliver the sample in April (Ref A), but due to a scheduling conflict the trip was canceled. Embassy Moscow LegAtt informed the FSB prior to Mueller’s intended April delivery and received confirmation that the FSB would take custody of the sample after the Director’s plane landed. EST Moscow also informed Rosatom of the planned transfer and that the U.S. placed a high priority on completing this transfer (Ref B). Once the LegAtt told FSB counterparts the April trip had been canceled, Ambassador Beyrle informed Igor Neverov (Ref C), who said that he understood but was disappointed the trip was postponed. The September 21 visit provides again an opportunity to deliver the requested ten-gram sample from the seized HEU in order to obtain cooperation from the GOR on this nuclear smuggling case and to eventually establish a more productive mechanism of U.S.-Russian cooperation on nuclear forensics.

    A quick observation.
    I just spent a few minutes looking at the larger Team Blue news organizations. CNN, NYT, MSNBC, etc. The giant Reddit politics forum. The Trump/Russia collusion story is gone. Bam. The silence at the end of a storm. I’m not seeing a word out there.
    There’s some sort of lesson here, but I don’t expect our local newswarriors to understand a bit of it. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
    A new ginned up controversy is on it’s way. Bet on it.

    Fake News! Drump did not serve!!!
    AMES, IOWA (The Borowitz Report)—Presidential candidate Donald Trump revealed a little-known episode of personal heroism from his youth on Saturday, telling an Iowa audience that he narrowly avoided capture in Vietnam by remaining in the United States for the duration of the war.
    “The Cong were after me,” Trump said, visibly stirred by the memory. “And then, just in the nick of time, I got my deferment.”
    The former reality-show star said he had never shared his record as a war hero before because “I don’t like to boast.”
    He said that he only disclosed the episode now because “the way this nation treats our deferment veterans is a disgrace.”
    Trump complained that he received no official commendation or medal for his heroism, calling the lack of recognition “shameful.”
    “Those brave Americans who, like me, avoided being captured by not serving at all—we are the true heroes,” he said.
    Trump’s tale of valor appeared to move many members of his audience, some of whom waited in line after his speech to thank him for his lack of service.

Since I don’t have TV, at first I did not know what the fuss was about. She is kinda cute with horns protruding out of here head. Another one bites the dust.
    Megan ain’t bad, just messed with the wrong viewers. Silent but deadly when pushed. Ok, sometimes we get vocal, but the ground rules are: You leave us alone, we leave you alone. Go ahead, draw first blood and you will have blood shooting out of all your…orifices. Just ask Ms. Kelly.
    More than one has fallen into the trap of underestimating Trump’s supporters. You call Trump a name, you call 60 million people a name. Simple. Even Harry Reed very early on conceded that it would be political suicide to dis the Trumpamanics out there. Then Hillary called us a basket full of Deplorables, racists, bigots, and Irredeemables. Hillary then tried to backtrack and said she was referring to Trump, not his supporters. Hmmm. Beam me up, Scottie. Basket full of……well, every disparaging word was in the plural form. Got the Chicks on the Right more upset. Diamonds and Silk went to town on that one. Didn’t upset me in the least. Hey, when your opponent hangs herself with her own rope, why get upset. You thank your good fortune. Womenfolk took it too personal, I reckon. Hillary? Yep, another one bites the dustt.
    Loved it when Trump said Crooked Hillary’s slogan is “I’m with her.” My slogan is “I’m with you.”
    So, laid it on me, progressives. Call me names. Call me bad names. I got 100% of the Oval Office, you got 100% of a grunt sandwich. Oh, Buttercups, better wipe that piece of human debris caught between your front teeth. It rather distracting and most unpleasant to watch that sticky brown stuff wedged in your pearly whites as your lips go yapping about Russia or tweets or whatever makes you pee your pants on a daily basis.
    Megan is a tough lady, but she ain’t no Trump.

    I’m debating to myself whether the complete shutdown in the Russia story is because it lost traction with the public, the Team Blue News Teams are all about bringing down a President rather than pursuing a truthful story after all, or because the threat of bringing down the Democrats reared it’s head. Perhaps some calls went out to the NYT to back off and this was done in exchange for easing off on HRC investigations. We’ll never know.
    As some German guy said:

    New Report Exposes Thousands of Illegal Votes in 2016 Election
    The Government Accountability Institute was able to obtain voter registration and voter history data from only 21 states because while some states shared it freely, “others impose exorbitant costs or refuse to comply with voter information requests.”
    These 21 states represent “about 17 percent of all possible state-to-state comparison combinations.”
    The institute compared the lists using an “extremely conservative matching approach that sought only to identify two votes cast in the same legal name.” It found that 8,471 votes in 2016 were “highly likely” duplicates.
    Extrapolating this to all 50 states would likely produce, with “high-confidence,” around 45,000 duplicate votes.
    The institute obtained this level of confidence by matching not only names and birthdays—which can be the same for different individuals—but also by contracting with companies, such as Virtual DBS, that have commercial databases to further cross-check these individuals using their Social Security numbers and other information.

Obviously, a population that has to show ID and significant other information to get food stamps can’t be expected to do the same thing for voting, it’s just too darned difficult.

    • Identi cation such as a driver’s license, state ID card, birth certi cate, work or school ID card, health insurance card, voter registration card, or proof of alien status;
    I have often wondered how passengers can board a commercial airplane without showing ID. So, if you don’t have ID, guess you cannot fly back home for Dad’s funeral, take a vacation to Disney World, but you can vote? Like paying taxes, it must be on the “voluntary” honor system.

    I don’t know where you get these numbers (down to an unbelievable 21… 21 what?). Rasmussen daily presidential poll shows 39% support for Trump today, and that’s down 11% since the high of 50% a few weeks ago. That’s also with the Obama war room operation two miles from the Capitol, spinning talking points in a twice daily phone meeting to blunt GOP efforts ot overturn Obamacare and give the Paul Emerys out there something to talk about.
    That’s an unprecedented refusal to go home after vacating the oval orifice. A failure to turn over and let the new guys in town to govern.

    The country is responding to the Trump policies in a favorable manner. But if you listen to Paul Emery and the fake news you would think we are in a depression circa 1933. The people they poll are weighted left. So they are fake polls. America is doing fine as is the President.

    I didn’t watch all of yesterday’s talking head shows yet but I was absolutely fascinated by Pelosi’s interview on Fox Snooze Someday… I don’t know if my take is shared by anyone but based on non verbal cues, Pelosi seemed absolutely fearful to me. Afraid she was losing relevancy, afraid she was losing a grip on the body politic.

    Don. I did some stock trading today. Bought as much RDS (Shell oil) as I could.
    Just shy of a buck a share in dividends on the next payout. Got rid of a few stocks that weren’t doing as hot. 6.75% dividend ain’t bad at all.
