“It does not change much. About 40% of the public is in favor of the Trump administration, and about 60% is opposed. This is bad news with respect to the ability of Trump to be re-elected, but that is 3 1/2 years away. In between now and then, there is probably going to be a recession. That will push Trump’s public support lower. But on issues of politics, Trump has not lost support. The media have hammered him repeatedly. He is under investigation. He has no supporters whatsoever anywhere in the media, yet his public approval ratings don’t change. The reasons why are varied, but the main one is this: the public that supports them hates the mainstream media, and will pay no attention to it. These people are permanently alienated politically.
The mainstream media are equally hostile. There is nothing that Trump could do to gain support within the mainstream media. So, he has no incentive to do anything that the mainstream media wants him to do. If he were ideological, he could create serious problems for the Democrats in the mainstream media. If he really understood politics, he would submit a budget in which virtually all of the federal executive agencies would be cut back by 25%, and then he would do it again next year.
The only issue which is going to undermine Trump in the hearts and minds of his supporters is a recession. That is going to happen, and he will not be re-elected. As I’ve said for a long time, I think the Democrats are going to take over both houses of Congress and the White House in 2021. They are going to get to be captains on economic Titanic.”

The democrats are unhinged. They are so desperate they say all these programs proposed by Trump and the Congress woill kill thousands. Bernie and Pocahontas said so last night. Sure, the R’s that are selliing there wares want their customers to die . You cannot make up the idiocy spewed by the libs. Then today we see the same unhinged crapola by RL Crabb in his unfunny “cartoon”. He forgot that it is the left doing all the shooting and violence I guess.

Crabb’s cartoon shows that lefties don’t even understand the folks they don’t like.
“I’m altright and I hate your religion”. All sorts of folks have hated all sorts of religions for hundreds of years. Some hate all religions. Why is this suddenly a problem?
    “I hate your sexuality”.
Really? Which ‘sexuality’ would that be since there are alt-right straights and gays.
    “I hate your foreigness”.
I have never heard anyone say that or write that. Ever. Pure fabrication.
“If you’re different, I hate you”. Sounds like some one on the left, there. I’d love to have Bob demonstrate how he connects that bit with the alt-right.
The last pane is pure nonsense. If Bob wants to review the history of our nation, he’ll find that a lot of early arrivals from Europe were extremely intolerant of any religion or mores outside of their own. Most came here simply to have better economic prospects.
Alt-right is the new grab bag boogie man largely concocted by the left.
A cartoon figure whose attributes they can dream up (see Crabb’s cartoon) and then tar all conservatives with, using that same broad brush. For the left, it beats trying to come up with facts and examples and logic.

Re ScottO’s 1119am – For the record it is important to remember that secular humanists ‘hate’ all religions as deficits of intellectual reprobates. And secular humanism is the dominant religion of the progressive Left, that implements its hatred through an avalanche of regulations and laws that have pushed almost all vestiges of religion out of the public forums. On the other hand, the fraction of the Christian Right that ‘hates’ other people’s religions is miniscule. However, true to form the Left follows the Alinsky dictum of loudly accusing the other of what they themselves practice – our cartoonist is right in the groove.

What is too funny about Crabb and his pals on the left is they are the “haters”. I don’t hate anyone. And in my life I have had friends and relatives who he hates alot. He is the hater not we on the right. We just laugh at him and his bogus assertions. Infantile at best. Liberals regard a disagreeement as hate since one is not supposed to say anything except them. I saw Carbb’s pals slicing and dicing in Berkeley, up close. He should be ashamed of his propaganda. And his softshoeing his buddies the antifa and commies.

George at 12:11 – True, true. To be fair, there are also plenty of libertarians and conservatives that feel the same about religion in general. Although the percentage is probably a lot smaller.
The left is usually very religious. Humanism has spawned the offshoot of environmentalism. Their god is the all-knowing, all powerful world govt that will magically take good care of everybody equally.
But the left will usually never consider any of that a religion.
There are a few exceptions. There have been some who openly declare that the ‘environment’ or ‘being green’ is their religion. Strangely, they also believe that the ‘Constitutional separation of church and state’ that they normally chatter on about doesn’t apply in any way to their church. In fact, they want their religion to be the official state religion.

Well the Atlantic is coming clean about electoral deck stackingโ€ฆ..something our own descendant-less Green Libertarianโ„ข has been completely unable to do!

A larger explanation is political. Between 2008 and 2016, Democrats became more and more confident that the countryโ€™s growing Latino population gave the party an electoral edge. To win the presidency, Democrats convinced themselves, they didnโ€™t need to reassure white people skeptical of immigration so long as they turned out their Latino base. โ€œThe fastest-growing sector of the American electorate stampeded toward the Democrats this November,โ€ Salon declared after Obamaโ€™s 2008 win. โ€œIf that pattern continues, the GOP is doomed to 40 years of wandering in a desert.โ€

    Someone of similar mindโ€ฆ..

With interest rates increasing, I would point out that market behavior has changed. The meteoric rise has stalled. In the past few months stocks have barely budged 1 percent either up or down per week. Except for last week when something strange happened; markets suddenly dropped nearly 400 points in a single day. Why? Well, that is a subject up for debate, but the majority of mainstream news outlets will tell you that it was all Donald Trumpโ€™s fault.
I have been warning since long before the election that Trumpโ€™s presidency would be the perfect vehicle for central banks and international financiers to divert blame for the economic crisis that would inevitably explode once the Fed moved firmly into interest rate hikes. Every indication since my initial prediction shows that this is the case.
The media was building the foundation of the narrative from the moment Trump won the election. Bloomberg was quick to publish its rather hilariously skewed propaganda on the matter, asserting that Trump was lucky to inherit an economy in ascendance and recovery because of the fiscal ingenuity of Barack Obama. This is utter nonsense!

I would hope he’s smart enough to not wind up as somebodies patsy!

Paul, I’d be more interested in hearing your excuse for this, given your fine grained outrage shown at 1:21PM:
“Sad to say this is another example of the tragedy of gun violence in America. Will it ever end?”
Posted by: Paul Emery | 14 June 2017 at 09:55 AM
That was your first reaction after the shooting? “Another example of the tragedy of gun violence in America”? As opposed to celebrating the thwarting of a planned multiple assassination of GOP congressmen by a deranged progressive at a baseball practice?
Just hours after the shooting in Virginia stopped, several died at a ‘Frisco UPS facility. The guy killed three former associates, then killed himself when the good guys with guns showed up. The moral of the story should be:
    1) stronger laws against owning and carrying firearms in San Francisco (aka ‘Frisco) specifically and in California in general need to be put into place, or
    2) stronger laws supporting and enabling good guys owning and carrying firearms in California in general and ‘Frisco in particular are needed.

Now, on to the Russia thing. Paul, the issue isn’t whether or not Russia tries to hack into any interesting computer in the USA they can find their way to (they do, and so do a number of other countries, most of whom are not our friends). The question is whether there’s any truth to the charge that Russia tried to push the election away from Clinton, or that they tried and succeeded. David Brooks, the never Trump “conservative” that’s liberal enough for NY Time’s staff to not quit when he gets published there, twice a week. His latest is worth reading from start to finish but the finish is awfully good:

There may be a giant revelation still to come. But as the Trump-Russia story has evolved, it is striking how little evidence there is that any underlying crime occurred โ€” that there was any actual collusion between the Donald Trump campaign and the Russians. Everything seems to be leaking out of this administration, but so far the leaks about actual collusion are meager.
There were some meetings between Trump officials and some Russians, but so far no more than youโ€™d expect from a campaign that was publicly and proudly pro-Putin. And so far nothing we know of these meetings proves or even indicates collusion….
The people who hype the politics of scandal donโ€™t make American government purer. They deserve some of the blame for an administration and government too distracted to do its job, for a political culture that is both shallower and nastier, and for fostering a process that looks like an elite game of entrapment.
Things are so bad that Iโ€™m going to have to give Trump the last word. On June 15 he tweeted, โ€œThey made up a phony collusion with the Russians story, found zero proof, so now they go for obstruction of justice on the phony story.โ€ Unless there is some new revelation, that may turn out to be pretty accurate commentary.
    https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/20/opinion/russia-investigation-trump.html

Let me repeat a past warning, Paul. Trump is being driven into the dirt by a constant drumbeat of Russia, Russia, Russia. If there is no there, there, it will come back and bite the Democratic Party in the ass, as will the collapse of the Global Warming story which is crumbling as I write. What will you write when all there is at the end is proof that Trump and Company were telling the truth all along?
Me, I’ll wait until real evidence is produced of an underlying crime. Until them, I’ll be happy to have Trump as president in order to be there to nominate more judges and justices who, like Goresuch, are libertarian-leaning Jeffersonian textualists. Or Scalias, Hamiltonian textualists. Or liberal lions like Hugo Black who also was a textualist. In short, judges and justices who think their job is not to invent the law but to interpret the law as written. Imagine that.

Even the Dems are dropping the collusion thing, so we are now at Russia doing its dastardly deeds without Trump’s help….and breaking some obscure statue on the books nobody knew about until TDS strike with a vengeance. Everybody says they will find something. Maybe a campaign adviser has some off shore bank accounts in Ireland or like Bill and Hillary’s 2nd NY home that is placed in trust off-shore to shield from lawsuits) and we can dig deeper and find out MORE what exactly s behind Flynn’s paychecks for services rendered from his clandestine days in Turkey were really about.
If you slow the tapes of the eavesdropping on Flynn’s calls to the Turkey Bigwigs down real slow and play them backwards, there are subliminal messages to be revealed. Working on it as we converse. Treason, collusion, and maybe “pull my finger, comrade” secret handshake stuff.
I think this all goes back to the early campaign when those 30-55k Hillary e-mails done gone missing and she couldn’t find them, the State Department couldn’t find them. all the King’s horses and all the King’s men could not find them. The drip, drip, drip of the news from Judical Watch and media FOIA requests started insinuating she had been hacked (remember Guccifer 2.0, the Romanian guy who boasted about reading Hillary’s State Department e-mails on his lunch breaks)…… ….well, that is when Trump said that maybe Putin has Hillary’s 30,000 missing e-mails, and maybe we should ask the Russians to help a brother out and help us find those e-mails. It was indeed a selfless act of public service by The Donald, not to mention the absolutely terrific slap in the face to Crooked Hillary, the Untouchable,
Yep, Trump wants Russians to hack our computers! Trumps calls for Russians to hack government computers!….and on and on it went. Goes without saying that Trump appears to not help his own cause at times, but in the end he seems to be still standing at the end of the day….sometimes standing tall surrounded by the fallen. And yes, he is my little street fighting man, warts and all. Rosie does kind of have a pig face, now that I think about it. I forgot he took a jab at the press as well. Good multitasking there, former Citizen Trump.
โ€œRussia, if youโ€™re listening, I hope youโ€™re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,โ€ Mr. Trump said during a news conference here in an apparent reference to Mrs. Clintonโ€™s deleted emails. โ€œI think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.โ€

Paul, Gregory mentioned that Global Warming story was collapsing in his 3:00PM.
Here is some of the evidence of the collapse, two studies written by ardent warmers and luke warmers who could not deal with the scientific BS promoted by their “climatistas” academic lounge mates. Even Michael “Hockeystick” Mann has come on board in agreeing the pause happened, there was no significant warming for over 18 years, and the climate models missed the pause. All the while the global CO2 levels continued to increase.
Power quotes from the two studies showing that the climate models all you lefties keep in your humanist hymn books are not real science:
First Study: Over most of the early twenty-first century, however, model tropospheric warming is substantially larger than observed; warming rate differences are generally outside the range of trends arising from internal variability. The probability that multi-decadal internal variability fully explains the asymmetry between the late twentieth and early twenty-first century results is low (between zero and about 9%).
Second Study: In particular, we point out that this work used invalid modeling tools, contained modeling errors, and made implausible and inadequately supported assumptions. Policy makers should treat with caution any visions of a rapid, reliable, and low-cost transition to entire energy systems that relies almost exclusively on wind, solar, and hydroelectric power.
Gov Brown should be treating his vision for California’s renewable energy plans with some of this caution.
    More here: http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2017/06/black-monday-for-the-climatistas.php
Question? Were these two studies written because of the overwhelming evidence, or because the writers were worried about their job and the grants those jobs depend on now that Trump and his administration are in control for the next four years (3 1/2 now)? Change is such a bitch, which just keeps on shoving us all toward an uncertain future. Change happens, get used to it! Anthropogenic Global Warming is about to end with a whimper.

Climate ‘science’. Until the AGW hysteria mongers explain why:
The Paris Agreement is so important. China and India (2 biggest polluters) ‘agreed’ to INCREASE global warming gasses.
Next – why should we listen to anyone saying that ‘the science is settled’. History shows the opposite.
Next – explain this: “At a news conference last week in Brussels, Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, admitted that the goal of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity but to destroy capitalism.” And she’s hardly the only one.
Next – explain why we are supposed to ignore the emails uncovered in ‘climate gate’ that show so-called scientists are conspiring to hide data.
    https://www.forbes.com/sites/jamestaylor/2011/11/23/climategate-2-0-new-e-mails-rock-the-global-warming-debate/#463e10fa27ba
Next – explain why all of the predictions of the climate alarmists never turn out to be true. In many cases, the exact opposite occurs.
I don’t need to be a scientist to smell a rat.
You will never, ever find any climate alarmist that will ever touch these topics.
There are ‘denialists’. They deny reality.

“Democrats had held the South Carolina seat for more than a century until Mulvaney rode a tea party wave to defeat longtime incumbent John Spratt in 2010.”

That’s two for two today, but no reason to boast or celebrate. The Dems sent the JV team to challenge the Righties. Kinda takes the fun out of it. The Dems bench is postage stamp thin and their starting lineup IS the JV team. Now they are going to send in the losers. Hmm. Guess that is what you do when your back is against the wall and you done run out of ammo.

Now, the real Breaking News! Gregory, Fish, Judge Nap, and other independent thinkers, and Punchy. You time is coming!!!!! Yep, I only missed it by 4 years. I could have sworn 2016 was the year for a 3rd Party surge, but Trump, Comey, Putin, Mainstream Fake News, and The Deplorables sucked all the oxygen out of the room. 3.5 years to go. Gentlemen, start your engines. The pararie fire is gaining momentum.

SIX POINTS! What happened, the polls said the young documentarian was going to win!!? Wacky polls, again the only poll that matters is election DAY! We won that poll and its all done other than the safe zones for snowflakes in GA’s 6th! A 7pt lead turned into a 6pt loss for the donkeys, that’s a yuge shift in a week.
All the alt-left stars and all the stars money still could not take a district that is not thrilled with Trump. Sweet. On to the midterms! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Pain REEEAAALLLY sucks.(and don’t I know it…) So I can be a little sympathetic at the moment.
So I ask all my friends here to assist in helping ease their pain and suffering.
Send them a jar of Dr. Donald J. Trump’s Butthurt cream. I’m sure they have run out of their first prescription by now. Now a new outbreak has hit. For those you know who have it extra bad, It’s now available in suppository form. They can’t afford to buy their own. We now where they sent it.

Emery, Emery, Emery? Oh, ya, he only party parrots when he gets the talking points emails from the DNC. I guess they are still at a loss about how they blew up so much money for so little return and don’t have any talking points yet. Now that’s a familiar narrative. I spent a billion dollars and only got a bunch of unused fireworks to show for it t-shirt was the Clinton narrative was it not? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Gentlemen, gentlemen – be kind. As long as we can keep winning the elections, the least we can do is give them some polling results to keep their spirits up.

Dr. R, this is Cali, there are tons (literally) of products to keep their spirits up other than actual spirits. I would expect that Hollywood is having a lot of white whine, edibles and coke (not the bubbly kind) being delivered since the GA06 race was called. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ok, lets get back to the business of the great debate.
With all the BS going on who else noticed that China just ended its 14 year old ban on US beef imports? Grain framers, truckers, processing plants, trains etc. will all beyond the ranchers feel the big love in the R states. Cow farts be damned! ๐Ÿ˜‰
