Having strong or well-formed political beliefs doesn’t always mean that one is also willing or able to reason about them.
Now some keenly honed liberal minds around here think that we should consider the source and therefore ignore the evidence against Hillary. That’s like telling the DA he can’t prosecute because the police got the goods on the defendant from shady informant Vlad the Snitch. Only in America.
In the 3jan17 Union there’s a letter from a Mr Ron Lowe, another leftwinger who lights off on President-elect Trump. The man shows his union school education by citing the non-existent “60s Republican war playbook” that is the source of Trump’s “obvious inferiority complex”, “fear mongering”, and “openly flagrant nuclear war talk”. Now since none of this is happening during his current efforts to set up his administration, Mr Lowe must be getting such reports from one of the many fake news manufactories that have sprung up within the usual lamestream media outlets.
I’m happy to know that our neighbors on the Left will now have at least four enlightening years of the Trump administration during which they will know exactly how we felt and why we protested during the last eight years under the ministrations of Barack Hussein Obama whose domestic policies increased regulations, decreased freedoms, raised taxes, stifled the economy, grew corrupt government; and whose foreign policy can be summarized by ‘Protect Muslims, Ignore Christians, Blame Jews’.
We’re told that former POTUS Obama will have to remain in DC to guard his legacy and provide much needed leadership to the Democrats. Apparently there will be no one else from the Left who is willing to spend much political capital to secure fPOTUS an acceptable place in history. So he’ll just have to do the job himself and become the festering fly in the federal ointment and also his own monument around which today’s over-wrought socialists can rally while they seek to preserve the swamp.

Abetted by the toxic coastal elites and as we witness daily, our local Left is doing all it can to expand their progressive septic tank to Nevada County. Ah, the Bubba years. Those great quotes from his operatives….er…surrogates. “I am sick and tired of people talking about family values.” Compartmentalization was the buzz word of the day. Personal life vs public life. The big debate on “Does character matter.”
I feel Potang Paul’s frustration. However, nothing new has been brought to the table. We all know about the Access Hollywood tapes. It was inescapable for two straight weeks 24/7 during the early fall. Everyone here knew about the tapes. All of America knew about it. It was everywhere one turned. Everywhere. Full blown carpet bombing.
But, the bottomline is all the tapes, links, arguments, debates, self searching, soul searching when marking the X in the box voting booth say…… drumroll please….say it just does matter. The information was out there. The tapes indefensible. But, the bottomline remains: it did not matter. It was not a deal breaker. Grab the Pussy was looked out and end the end it did not matter at the end of the day… Period. No butts.
It may matter, but it did not matter enough to keep our eyes off the prize. It may matter greatly to many and also to me, but not that much when all was said and done. The alternative was much worse. The alternative of Hillary was the deal breaker. A pissed off populace refused to be stopped. Winning is not everything, it was the only thing. Moving on. Keeping my eyes on the prize: borders, language, culture. Homeland security and economic opportunity. Scotus, Scotus, Scotus.
It did not matter enough. Not then, not on Nov 8, not today, and not tomorrow.

What a shame the DNC had its contacts in the media start pushing Trump even before the first primary, in order to get Hillary an opponent she could beat. Didn’t work. Democrats broke the election, Democrats own the result.
I remain happy Hillary isn’t president… all the currently terrible losers would be truly abysmal winners.

Paul concerns do not concern me. Motivation does not allow contrary information to be processed. Ego says “It MUST NOT be processed. Do not look that way, dare not go there.” It’s a one way street. Attack, never defend. The world began today. Must attack, must attack, must attack…never defend.

Silly Paul. Obviously it matters greatly to you, Paulssy. I already had my internal debate and resolved my internal conflicts…..months ago. So, frankly my dear, I just don’t care about the “issue” as much as you do. I just don’t FEEL about it the way you demand others to feel about it. I see the same things you do. My feeling are my feeling and one can never argue with feelings. You feelings are your feelings. We simply put different priorities on the issue. Apparently so did the voters.
I feel like a nice sandwich. Toodles. Time for somebody else to babysit Paul. I have selflessly served my time and my shift is over. How about it…somebody, anybody….
