ALL authorizations of government actions not related to national security shall be identified to the specific person responsible, duly recorded and archived citing applicable authority, and subsequently made available to the public upon legitimate inquiry.  ALL such government actions whose authorizations turn out anonymous shall immediately be deemed illegal on their face, and those affected will have just cause to seek redress, including rapid injunctive relief, through the courts.  Proposed constitutional amendment from Rebane Doctrine.

“Yahoo secretly scanned customer emails for US intelligence” reports Reuters (here).  Already an internet company on its last legs, Yahoo decided to get in the bag with the fed intelligence agencies and write a program that scans customer emails in real time looking for keywords and phrases prescribed by the agencies.  They appear to be the first to cave after Apple made its refusal to do so very public last year.  As readers here know, if it’s on the internet it is there for all to see and forever. (H/Ts to correspondent and also commenter in last sandbox.)

Obamacare, “the craziest thing in the world” is now the public assessment of Sweet William.  The cynically named Affordable Care Act has been a failure from the gitgo with mounting outrages reported monthly for the last six years, and even more being kept hidden by the feds and their lamestream lackeys.  Even Democrats are now abandoning this festering pile of garbage.  Nevertheless, the intellectual deficits of our electorate are still highlighted by Hillary’s poll numbers as she continues to laud and take credit for Obama regime policies while out of the other side of her mouth she promises an endless number of fixes that are testimonials to eight years of failure in EVERY aspect of governance.

The Pence/Kaine debate sure showed another glaring difference in this November’s choices.  Kaine, who to me looks and talks like an amalgam of a shyster lawyer and a used car salesman, couldn’t keep his mouth shut during Mike Pence’s turns to answer – Kaine interrupted Pence over 70 times.  His own apologetics for the new policies of HillaryCare (not to be confused with the failed attempt in the 90s) illustrated the low grade ore that we can expect at best if Mrs Clinton wins.  My proposal for all future debates is to seat both candidates in soundproof glass ‘isolation booths’.  The moderator would have the ability to switch on/off the mike in either booth.  This would let a more civilized debate be delivered even by weak moderators like last night’s Elaine Quijano of CBS News who could not control the loudmouthed lout Kaine.  The debate continued to highlight the Left's determined effort to stifle the speech of their opponents.

[6oct16 update] Yesterday the Cato Institute released its 13th biennial comprehensive assessment of state governors – ‘Fiscal Policy Report Card on America’s Governors – 2016’ – which “uses statistical data to grade the governors on their taxing and spending records—governors who have cut taxes and spending the most receive the highest grades, while those who have increased taxes and spending the most receive the lowest grades. … Five governors were awarded an “A” on this report: Paul LePage of Maine, Pat McCrory of North Carolina, Rick Scott of Florida, Doug Ducey of Arizona, and Mike Pence of Indiana. Ten governors were awarded an “F”: Robert Bentley of Alabama, Peter Shumlin of Vermont, Jerry Brown of California, David Ige of Hawaii, Dan Malloy of Connecticut, Dennis Daugaard of South Dakota, Brian Sandoval of Nevada, Kate Brown of Oregon, Jay Inslee of Washington, and Tom Wolf of Pennsylvania.”

As expected, California occupies its usual place in the bottom of the barrel when it comes to benefiting its citizens.  NPR reported this morning that Moonbeam intends to yet again increase taxes on the "rich" to pay for the state's eternal shortfalls in education.  Nevada County's Measure B school bond issue brings it all home.

[7oct16 update]  The spiraling Insanity of liberalism.  Football coach fired for making a repeat offender bully take a couple of laps.  Reason?  He wasn’t trained to specifically handle bullying situations according to new state norms, therefore he should have let it pass again with an admonishment.  The long past tipping point is fast disappearing in the rear view mirror.  (more here)

[8oct16 update]  Today The Union reports that the musical chairs for the principal's job at Nevada Union HS continues.  This reminds us that a major scourge of progressivism's one-size fits all rules of political correctness is that it discourages good creative and competent leadership.  No capable person with alternatives wants to be saddled with a job that requires hewing to a slavish set of constraints in what can and should be done that are mandated from above.  Such a policy, now practiced across the land, leaves only the mediocre and meek dolts and grinders to manage our public institutions.  This is one of the many diseases of collectivism that brought down the USSR, and today continues to make life miserable in socialist/communist countries.  Sadly, many of these nations are held up to our youth as role models for a more perfect United States.

Trump is yesterday’s toast and with him a pussy grab full of senate seats. The right will so wish they might get someone of Garland’s ilk to elect to the Supreme Court. Sorry dudes, no longer in the cards. What a friggin’ outright stupid play by the repub senate to not consider the best nominee they would wish to see in the next four years.

Paraphrased from a really mediocre Adam Sandler movie –
Mr. Smith, what you have just posted… Is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever seen. At no point, in your rambling, incoherent response, were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having witnessed it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

    Welcome back Steve!

Not Steve…..unless he gets less verbose…..and from seeing most of his past “eye glazers”….much less… verbose when he drinks! Which may have been the case as the Cubs won game 1 of the NLDS last night and even though it was only game 1, that coupled with Trumps latest gaffe probably inspired much celebration far from the mean streets of Chicagistan last night!
As a Giants fan and one longing for the simpler times of the 1990s when there were no e-mails to BleachBit away and there wasn’t a microphone on every fairway, I submit the following:
@kausmickey Mike Wallace: “What do you and Bill Clinton talk about on the golf course? (Vernon) Jordan answered, “Pussy”. Too bad no #hotmic
….and with that let the pearl clutching continue in earnest.

“Jon Smith”, assumed by many to be Steven Frisch (the six figure CEO of the wretchedly misnamed Sierra Business Council) and probably is today since, checking Pelline’s sandbox, Jeff does know how to spell “groper” unlike “Jon” at 944PM.
Looks like Frisch, too. Family ties?

Steve, since you thought my claim was worth holding up to ridicule, maybe you can find where Trump called the Miss Universe a “fat pig”… I went looking for a primary source and couldn’t find one. If it’s true, you should be able to find it at a NY Times or similar… what I found at the Newspaper of Record was that he used it to describe (forgive me for reporting on the Times) Rosie O’Donnell. Once.
It would seem that Trump is bad enough that you shouldn’t have to make stuff up about him.
With the latest tape… it strikes me that it was illegal if in California (I assume Access Hollywood isn’t taped in Atlantic City), where it is illegal to record private conversations. Of course, it’s also illegal to steal tax returns and, separately, illegal to publish stolen tax returns. It’s also illegal to record cell phone conversations on cellular frequencies, and that’s been done to Republicans, too. Why is it Democrats think all is fair in love and political war only if it’s finding fault with Republicans?

The FUE must keep one open at night watching this page. Jeff’s headline “Grouper” (the fish) was corrected to Groper (the orange orangutan) after I caught the error. You’re welcome for the head’s up Jeff. If this had been in the Union (headline at that!) Purple rage would be dripping from his greasy pen

With over half the marriages failing in America because either gender was cheating with their best friends wife or hubby, I expect most know all the words Trump was saying and personally. We have a crass culture and what Trump said in private is no worse than a gangsta rap song for the masses. So who cares? A feminist? mom is at home alone as hubby is out? Evangelicals? No one will change their votes. And the rest? Porn is readily on the internet and many women and men according to stats are killing time watching it all.

Here’s fodder for a timeout, from the DailyMail:

I just know what Bill told me and that was that he was aware that Hillary was bisexual and he didn’t care. He should know.
‘He said Hillary had eaten more p***y than he had.’

Transparent Hillary. Now we have partial transcripts for some of the 20 minutes for $250k talks Hillary sold to Goldman Sachs… is anyone surprised by her sounding more like a Goldman Sachs executive than the Bernie Sanders clone she’s been pretending to be, long enough to get nominated at least. If elected, which Hillary would be sworn in?

Even funnier, we have Bill Clinton to thank for Gloria Steinem’s One Free Grope Rule fashioned to allow Bubba his habits by the otherwise hostile to groping progressive literati.
As far as I can tell, Trump’s style of propositioning is different from Clinton’s only in that we know Trump does take no for an answer even after some furniture shopping. Clinton not so much, and now we know from Colin Powell’s stolen emails that Bubba is still “dicking” bimbos at home. Billy has his women and, so we are told, so does Hillary.
Pelline is a lying jerk and a political bigot and everyone knows it. If he didn’t have double standards, he’d have no standards at all.
