Scotty, something is wrong with you. My god, please try some form of yoga to ease your beast within.
Seriously, I can recommend some studios in Boise, or even in GV/NC.

Don….call channel 13 news and make sure they mention Nevada City, CA about half a dozen times. If it hits the local station, you can bet your bottom dollar FOX News will be airing it in a few days as well as every news web site from sea to shinning sea. This will put Nevada City, Ca on the map! Oh boy, those boys in the Pacific Northwest are already up in arms over my posts I sent about Nevada City, Ca and soon to spread across the military blogs around the world, even the Army cites. :). Go Army! Did I mention that the post I sent to several cites included the name Nevada City, CA about 10 times in bold print? Look for it on a web page near you. This might even put the NC Scooper on the map. No thanks necessary. I give full credit to some councilwoman from Nevada City, CA,, 95959.

There was an article about white cops leaving in unusually high numbers from the Dallas PD just last week. Sad. The innocent blacks in the big (Democrat led) cities will be hardest hit. Oh well – we can always blame Trump if he wins or just blame Trump any way.
Obama is now coming back to the US. He’ll be delayed as he has to pick up a large quantity of gasoline to pour on the race war.
Hillary says: “We need to do better”.
But in Clinton talk – it depends on the meaning of the word ‘better’.

Todd, since you asked the very bizarre question- please tell us how and why the statistic about single parents in black households is relevant to the topic of cops shooting and/or mistreating innocent black Americans.
    Thanks.

Oh – please tell us what is ‘wrong’ with me, jonnie boy.
C’mon – you can do it.
You haven’t got a shred of credibility left, jonnie.
I notice you have stopped all of your race related blather and gone back to personal insults. But at least you’ve stopped the racial and age and sex related ones.
    Good – that’s a great start.

An incredible essay from an African American man which I stumbled across today. It should be read by all of white America. Thanks..
“IT is clear that you, white America, will never understand us. We are a nation of nearly 40 million black souls inside a nation of more than 320 million people. We don’t all think the same, feel the same, love, learn, live or even die the same.
But there’s one thing most of us agree on: We don’t want the cops to kill us without fear that they will ever face a jury, much less go to jail, even as the world watches our death on a homemade video recording.
You will never understand the helplessness we feel in watching these events unfold, violently, time and again, as shaky images tell a story more sobering than your eyes are willing to believe: that black life can mean so little. That Alton B. Sterling and Philando Castile, black men whose deaths were captured on film this past week, could be gone as we watch, as a police officer fires a gun. That the police are part of an undeclared war against blackness.
You can never admit that this is true. In fact, you deem the idea so preposterous and insulting that you call the black people who believe it racists themselves. In that case the best-armed man will always win.
You say that black folks kill each other every day without a mumbling word while we thunderously protest a few cops, usually but not always white, who shoot to death black people who you deem to be mostly “thugs.”
That such an accusation is nonsense is nearly beside the point. Black people protest, to one another, to a world that largely refuses to listen, that what goes on in black communities across this nation is horrid, as it would be in any neighborhood depleted of dollars and hope — emptied of good schools, and deprived of social and economic buffers against brutality. People usually murder where they nest; they aim their rage at easy targets.
It is not best understood as black-on-black crime; rather, it is neighbor-to-neighbor carnage. If their neighbors were white, they’d get no exemption from the crime that plagues human beings who happen to be black. If you want interracial killing, you have to have interracial communities.
We all can see the same videos. But you insist that the camera doesn’t tell the whole story. Of course you’re right, but you don’t really want to see or hear that story.
At birth, you are given a pair of binoculars that see black life from a distance, never with the texture of intimacy. Those binoculars are privilege; they are status, regardless of your class. In fact the greatest privilege that exists is for white folk to get stopped by a cop and not end up dead when the encounter is over.
Those binoculars are also stories, bad stories, biased stories, harmful stories, about how black people are lazy, or dumb, or slick, or immoral, people who can’t be helped by the best schools or even God himself. These beliefs don’t make it into contemporary books, or into most classrooms. But they are passed down, informally, from one white mind to the next.
The problem is you do not want to know anything different from what you think you know. Your knowledge of black life, of the hardships we face, yes, those we sometimes create, those we most often endure, don’t concern you much. You think we have been handed everything because we have fought your selfish insistence that the world, all of it — all its resources, all its riches, all its bounty, all its grace — should be yours first, and foremost, and if there’s anything left, why then we can have some, but only if we ask politely and behave gratefully.
So you demand the Supreme Court give you back what was taken from you: more space in college classrooms that you dominate; better access to jobs in fire departments and police forces that you control. All the while your resentment builds, and your slow hate gathers steam. Your whiteness has become a burden too heavy for you to carry, so you outsource it to a vile political figure who amplifies your most detestable private thoughts.
Whiteness is blindness. It is the wish not to see what it will not know.
If you do not know us, you also refuse to hear us because you do not believe what we say. You have decided that enough is enough. If the cops must kill us for no good reason, then so be it because most of us are guilty anyway. If the black person that they kill turns out to be innocent, it is an acceptable death, a sacrificial one.
You cannot know what terror we live in. You make us afraid to walk the streets, for at any moment, a blue-clad officer with a gun could swoop down on us to snatch our lives from us and say that it was because we were selling cigarettes, or compact discs, or breathing too much for your comfort, or speaking too abrasively for your taste. Or running, or standing still, or talking back, or being silent, or doing as you say, or not doing as you say fast enough.
You hold an entire population of Muslims accountable for the evil acts of a few. Yet you rarely muster the courage to put down your binoculars, and with them, your corrosive self-pity, and see what we see. You say religions and cultures breed violence stoked by the complicity of silence because peoples will not denounce the villains who act in their names.
Yet you do the same. You do not condemn these cops; to do so, you would have to condemn the culture that produced them — the same culture that produced you. Black people will continue to die at the hands of cops as long as we deny that whiteness can be more important in explaining those cops’ behavior than the dangerous circumstances they face.
You cannot know how we secretly curse the cowardice of whites who know what I write is true, but dare not say it. Neither will your smug insistence that you are different — not like that ocean of unenlightened whites — satisfy us any longer. It makes the killings worse to know that your disapproval of them has spared your reputations and not our lives.
You do not know that after we get angry with you, we get even angrier with ourselves, because we don’t know how to make you stop, or how to make you care enough to stop those who pull the triggers. What else could explain the white silence that usually greets these events? Sure, there is often an official response, sometimes even government apologies, but from the rest of the country, what? We see the wringing of white hands in frustration at just how complex the problem is and how hard it is to tell from the angles of the video just what went down.
We feel powerless to make our black lives matter. We feel powerless to make you believe that our black lives should matter. We feel powerless to keep you from killing black people in front of their loved ones. We feel powerless to keep you from shooting hate inside our muscles with well-choreographed white rage.”

Did the ‘jon’ get that from the BLM website or Reinette Senum? Do you really think people are goring to read that on a Friday night? This is where we are supposed to engage our white guilt right? The problem the ‘jon’ is that I work with lots of strong black people who would not agree with you or Senum or your ilk. They know the thin blue line is often their only salvation in the drug dealer hell they have to try and raise their kids in. A press release from a prominent black Bishop on Ferguson facts said- That child was a stoned gangster, if you are a gangster you will end up in 1 of 3 places; Church, Prison or a grave.

Bessee, not a matter of agreeing with me- I did not write the essay. It’s the sentiment of the majority of black Americans. So go ahead and disregard it. But don’t expect the vast majority of black American citizens to ever give you and your “conservative” brethren an ounce of respect, nor give your GOP cronies a single vote in any election. Again, a vital essay to read and understand. Note the similarities here to the essay I posted from an anguished black American citizen. Identical message, different messenger. In this case- Conservative GOP Elder Statesman and party favorite, the possible GOP VP Nominee,
Mr. Newt Gingrich. Truth and intelligence trumps a closed mind.
“It is more dangerous to be black on America. It’s both more dangerous because of the crime, which is the Chicago story,” Gingrich said Friday in a Facebook Live event with CNN analyst Van Jones. “But it is more dangerous in that [you are] substantially more likely to be in a situation where police don’t respect you and where you could easily get killed. And I think sometimes, for whites, it’s difficult to appreciate how real that is. It’s an everyday danger.”
Gingrich added, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution: “It took me a long time, and a number of people talking to me through the years to get a sense of this. If you are a normal white American, the truth is you don’t understand being black in America, and you instinctively under-estimate the level of discrimination and the level of additional risk.”

Senum should still resign and if she doesn’t, I hope the citizens of Nevada City proper force the issue.
Regarding the essay “Dozer”/Pelline thinks every white person should read, it’s by columnist Michael Eric Dyson in the NY Times.
    http://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/10/opinion/sunday/what-white-america-fails-to-see.html?rref=collection%2Fcolumn%2Fmichael-eric-dyson&action=click&contentCollection=opinion&region=stream&module=stream_unit&version=latest&contentPlacement=1&pgtype=collection
He’s been a regular on MSLSD (or is it BSNBC?), CNN, NPR and Real Time with Bill Maher. A sociology professor (an aside… that’s probably tied with Education as the easiest subject at a typical university) and, by at least one pair of aging eyes, as myopic about “whiteness” as he thinks whites are of blacks.
Patience is still a virtue… the black community should take a deep breath and not demand an eye for an eye until the case is evaluated by detectives, district attorneys and sometimes even Attorneys General, as was the case for the Michael Brown shooting in Ferguson… even Eric Holder couldn’t recommend prosecution. It was justified. Brown really was a thug, high as a kite and just departed from a strong armed theft from a convenience store. All of the corroborating stories and forensic evidence backed the cop’s story, including how Brown struggled for his gun even before the cop got out of his patrol car.
“Hands up, don’t shoot!” was a lie from the beginning. A story first told by his partner in the strongarmed robbery down the street and not corroborated by any credible witness. And it’s still being repeated.
Secrets to not getting shot by a cop at a traffic stop… don’t act like someone who might shoot them. The fact that half the cops who get killed are by a black hand doesn’t make it easier for the vast majority of black motorists to keep the cracker cop from getting scared, but it’s still possible.
A great outcome of all of this would be enough introspection to heal your own house. Maybe work towards getting your people’s crime statistics more aligned to your population… you’re 1/7 the population, try to get your share of murders (as perps) down closer to that from the current… it’s undoubtedly hard for cops to forget they are far more likely to be killed by a young black man than an elderly Asian female… an inconvenient truth.
A piece, Tests and Tiger Moms by Sowell in 2013 includes this tidbit…

Recent statistics on the students who passed the examination to get into Stuyvesant High School raise troubling questions that are unlikely to receive the kind of serious answers they deserve.
These successful applicants included 9 black students, 24 Latino students, 177 white students and 620 Asian Americans.

No, whites aren’t keeping blacks innumerate and illiterate. As a whole, the dysfunctional American black culture does that quite handily, and Asians as a rule are kicking white ass. You want the goodies of the middle class? It takes work. Ben Carson’s mom, with a 3rd grade education, was a Tiger Mom that Sowell describes… and his brother became an engineer… despite both being raised by an impoverished single mother.
UC Berkeley, forbidden by California law to use race in admissions, has numbers that don’t look that much different than those for admission into Stuyvesant and it isn’t because white and asians are forbidding black students from working harder.

    “The Pursuit of Racial Amity
Amity Seems to be Running Faster than We Are
    December 31, 2013
“One of the nice things about reality is that it is what it is, no matter what anybody says it is.”—the eminent philosopher James Morris
    .
Pondering the smoking ruins of American racial policy, I wonder whether it isn’t time to say publicly what many, if not most, of both races know: It isn’t working. It isn’t going to work. If it were, it would have. If it were working, we would not need the unending laws to force the races together when they don’t want to be together. If people wanted diversity, it would happen without compulsion..
The hope that black and white would mingle amicably if only segregation were dismantled relied on a peculiarly American inattention to life and history, and on a belief that people will behave as we want them to, instead of how they observably do behave. Human nature remains human nature, no matter how hard one holds one’s breath and turns blue.
It is not an easy thing that we try to do. Frequently, far smaller disparities than those between black and white lead to bloody conflict. Catholics and Protestants, Shia and Sunni, Jew and Christian are often virtually indistinguishable, yet share a history of internecine butchery of each other. Is there anywhere an example of two groups so large and utterly different as blacks and whites successfully merging?
Despite our best imaginings, race is far more than skin deep. The races differ wildly in culture, appearance, attitudes, views of each other, language, musical taste, dress, attitudes toward law, education, family, and the role of government.
Much of what blacks believe about whites is almost psychotic. Exceptions and degrees, yes, but the centerline remains.
Over and over one hears blacks asserting that that we whites invented AIDS to kill off blacks, that we put substances in soft drinks to make black men impotent (“Honest, Latanya, them damn white folks put something in my Gatorade.”), and that we flood the ghetto with drugs to destroy black society. We are, blacks repeatedly insist, incorrigible racists determined to hold blacks down. Discrimination, “racial profiling,” police brutality, and “institutional racism” are, they say, the irremediable bedrock of the white soul. The Trayvon Martin case, blacks say, shows that it is open season for whites to kill young black males. Black after black says the only solution is to kill whites.
By contrast, to many whites the last sixty years have seen a desperate attempt to find something, anything, that would raise blacks to the intellectual, cultural, and economic standards of the First World. Nine white men passed Brown vs. the School Board, white federal marshals and white troops enforced the decision, an overwhelmingly white congress enacted the civil-rights acts of the Sixties, and still supports the endless welfare programs on which so many blacks depend. We censor ourselves savagely to avoid offending blaqcks. Even mild criticism of racial behavior is a firing offense.
Nothing is enough. We change the color of Santa, remove the Confederate flag, admit blacks to historically white schools for which they are not remotely qualified, and pay untold millions to settle suits over discrimination based on the inability of blacks to meet the standards applied to whites. It doesn’t work. The complaints never end.
We have tried desegregation, integration, mixed classrooms, Section Eight, AFDC, Head Start, affirmative action, quotas, Black History Day (or is it month?), laws against “hate crimes” by whites, outlawing of IQ tests by employers, on and on. It hasn’t worked. Nothing suggests that it will. The chasm appears intractable.
What if it isn’t working because it can’t? What do we do?
Note that our racial policy is in a sense anti-black: aimed at making blacks into dark-skinned whites who study, talk, act, and think like us—to get them to speak white English, wear suits, and adopt the cultural norms of whites.
Yet there is little evidence that blacks want to turn white. In fact they do much that is intended to maintain, or at any rate has the effect of maintaining, their separateness. Thus Keyshawn and Latoya instead of Robert and Carol. Thus Ebonics: Blacks could learn normal English if they chose, if only by imitating whites on television, but that would make them almost white. (In France and Mexico, for example, blacks speak the national language normally.) Black high-schoolers accuse their fellows who study of “acting white.” Blacks speak contemptuously of “oreos” and Uncle Toms.
Whites have no more desire to be black than blacks do to be white. This attachment of each race to its culture impossibilizes assimilation.
Things can seem to be working better than they are. Most whites see only bleached blacks, those in business clothes speaking perfect English on television. Few see the huge black urban ghettoes, hermetically isolated from the rest of the country. You can spend eight hours in these regions in a police car—I have, many times—and never see a Caucasian face. The ghettoes amount to a different country, a different civilization, in distributed enclaves. Assimilation before the heat death of the sun isn’t going to happen.
If you look at what people do instead of what they say, you will note that the races do not want to associate, and indeed don’t much like each other. For example in Washington, where I lived for many years, the races coexisted in compulsory amity at work but then went to separate neighborhoods, bars, and restaurants. When blacks wearied of the (black, actually) violence of the city, they moved to Prince Georges County in Maryland, heavily black; whites went to Fairfax Country, Virginia, almost all white. Black kids in white universities want black-only fraternities and living quarters. When whites threaten by gentrification to become a majority in black regions, like Washington itself, blacks hate it.
And now we have the Knockout Game of explicitly racial attacks by gangs of blacks, often leaving the victims crippled or dead. The media hide the occurrence of these assaults, the police (who know better) deny that they are racial, and the federal goverrnment deliberately does nothing. This is a dangerous game. It is interesting that a sober, conservative, black intellectual like Thomas Sowell sees a race war—his words, and worth reading, looming. See also Walter Williams.
Maybe a little less togetherness would better preserve the pea
ce. The Supreme Court once said irrationally that “separate is inherently unequal.” Why? Men and women have separate public bathrooms. Is this unequal? We have sports teams separate by sex. Inherently unequal? Should we force sexual integration of sports? Jews and Catholics have schools intended to preserve theilr cultures, and it doesn’t seem to have brought the Republic down.
So then, why do we keep trying to compel a togetherheid that no one seems to want? Why not let the races manage their own affairs as they see fit? For instance, we might organize the schools by culture instead of race. As a white man, I want my children to go to a culturally white school, meaning one that stresses real academics, requires good English and what I regard as civilized dress, and demands good comportment. No social promotion, affirmative action, or toleration of seriously bad behavior. Such blacks students as chose to meet these standards would be welcome–but they woulod have to meet them.
This would result in something close to de facto segregation by race. So what? It would also end complaints by blacks of discrimination in grades, discipline, and so on, since they would be running their own schools, and whites would no longer complain of the dumbing down of courses and the inability to maintain their standards of language and behavior. If by law all schools received the same funding, none would be at a disadvantage.
It is worth a thought, methinks: comity at arms length.. What we are doing isn’t working. Violence grows. Sooner or later there will be an explosion.and, perhaps, a conflict from which the country will never recover.

“Dozer”/Pelline, the more you learn about the “murders”, the less they look like murders. Like in Ferguson, like in Baltimore.
Bad racist cops need to go to jail, and if it is murder, they still deserve a fair trial before they get a first class hanging.
Given the blind eye Dyson has to his people’s culpability, it would appear being a bona fide sociologist is pretty useless for diagnosing the problem. Maybe this guy had it right:

“Do you know that Negroes are 10 percent of the population of St. Louis and are responsible for 58% of its crimes? We’ve got to face that. And we’ve got to do something about our moral standards… We know that there are many things wrong in the white world, but there are many things wrong in the black world, too. We can’t keep on blaming the white man. There are things we must do for ourselves.”

In short, Martin Luther King had it right in 1961 but his congregation didn’t take his sermon to heart.
Regarding my education, I attended a well regarded liberal arts college where even physics majors spent a third of their studies in the humanities… I realize it’s common for trivial arts majors to think that techies only know tech, but all are humans first.. I was also shocked how little of the humanities were required for graduation from Cal, and that Cal science majors were allowed to take a minor in a similar subject rather than a humanity. A shame.

“Dozer” what do you think about the statistic that a black man encountering a policeman is 18 times more likely to die from the experience than the cop is.

I would hope that the police come out on top 100% of the time in encounters with the public. Given the huge number of such encounters, some small number of them will result in an unfair situation for the black man or whoever. The trick is to minimize the number of bad outcomes.
It’s funny when people take sides to the extent that they want force parity between police and the individuals they deal with.

Jonnie-the-troll has it wrong again. We’re not ‘ignoring’ the left wing narrative about racial issues.
    We’re well aware of it.
Just in my lifetime we went through this before when the Black Panthers got started. White cops were being targeted and murdered and it was the same narrative about a white war against blacks.
It’s just all BS. The only war is deranged and hate filled blacks going after whites. That’s why jonnie boy won’t engage me with actual cases and numbers.
Because the statistics don’t back him up. It’s all ranting, catch phrases and sound bites being repeated over and over. And the death toll mounts and it just gets worse. Keep it up, lefties. If this continues, who is going to lose? By the left’s own admission, things are getting worse. You want to keep banging your head against the wall?
The violence and hate comes almost exclusively from the left. That fact is what jonnie boy and the left keep ignoring.

“Gregory” (AKA Gregory Goodknight ) continues to write I’m Jon Dozer. No, Gregory, I’m not. If I had something to say to you, I would say it to your face with a signed name: As I always have in the past. Be assured that there are plenty of people around besides me and Jon Dozer who disagree with your premise on global warming and most other things. You are a walking “exception,” not a rule. ROFLOL
Yeah….just like you have in the past when you posted as Gloria, or Windy, or Bruiser, or…., or…….

the new sock puppet at 7:14 got it wrong… a cop encountering a black man in a traffic stop is apparently 18 times more likely to die than the black man, and that’s apparently irrespective of the race of the cop. Young black men have been disproportionately killing cops for years, and murders of cops are up something like 44% this year.
I’ve also no doubt there are bad cops and that people have a right to self defense even against the police.
Regarding Pelline spouting off behind the moat of his blog, Jeff, I’ve no doubt “Jon Dozer” is one of the usual suspects and you remain the leading candidate, though your bosom buddy Stephen Frisch, six figure CEO of the wretchedly misnamed Sierra Business Council remains in the running. Unlike you, I’ve never used a sock in the local blogs and I have only one such alter ego that I use to make comments on the national scene, and have for years.
The chance that Pelline does not know who the Dozer sock is being fisted by is vanishingly small.

Look, everybody knows if you are a black child born in the ghetto with no father around, no role models, crap schools, crime ridden streets etc, you have two strikes against you from the get go. I don’t care what some elitist guy in the ivory towers writes. It always looks good on paper.
Oh, I was once one of those bleeding heart liberals back in the day. That is why I already know what the long essays about the black communities or society’s woes have to say because I use to write and spout that stuff, I can tell you exactly what Brother Ben or Dr. West or Minister Farrakhan will say before they open their mouths. There is nothing new under the sun.
Until we at least recognize that there is a black underclass as a starting point, the rest is bull pucky. Until we look a the hard cold facts without wincing or minimizing or exaggerating, we are spouting lies. If you want to talk about feelings, all objectivity stops right here and now.
Take NYC. 7 out of 10 murders happen in the black communities. Homicides. Thus, as to be expected, 7 out of 10 resources law enforcement sends out going into those black communities….or minority communities if you want to sanitize the snapshot. Police have a disappropriate percentage of interactions with the black community than the white community. Why? Racism? No, because that is where the concentrated pockets of crime are. Higher percentages of interactions with LE and the residents in the crime infested areas than interactions with LE in precincts with average crime rates is the natural occurance. Cops go when the crime is. More interactions in crime ridden underclass areas naturally result in more chances something could go wrong…terribly wrong for the criminal, the innocence, and LE.
If you want to talk about distrust of LE in the black community, fine. If you want to talk about the once a month or once every 6 days nationwide stats of “murder” by cops, fine. If you live in the black community, chances are you will never witness a cop murdering someone in 20 years. But, the chances are you will witness murders and justified LE shootings more often than in other non-improvised crime infected areas simply due to the the higher percentages of criminals (true criminals), 911 calls, and more LE resources send into places with higher crime stats. Cops go where crimes are being reported. Chances of things going wrong increases in crime infested communities. Yes, crime can happen anywhere.
Just look at this criminal. Paroled last year for federal weapons charges. Yes, he is black. Yes, the cop is dead. Was it because of BLM? I dunno. Was it because of poverty or racism or not enough money thrown at the problem? I dunno.
Crime has been around exactly as long as mankind has.

No comment on the Councilwoman from Nevada City, CA 95959 FB post at Pelline’s blog yet? Hmmm. He must be at Church or taking with Todd’s Pastor Ron figuring out what to do with Todd.
Yo Jeff, where is your Nevada City Councilwoman story? Your readers are dying to know your stance on your babe. She does have Frisco values, and green through and through. Meanwhile, my in-box is overflowing with inquiries from blogs and e-mails from across the nation. They want to know as well. I never even once had my in-box full until that news about the Chemtrail Lady from Nevada City, CA, 95959 broke on the local Sacramento TV stations. This is a story with legs! Get on it, please. Pretty please.
I am waiting. I am waiting.

Nothing to go with blacks targeting cops. This guy was Asian. Boy, whatever they are paying police officers nowadays, I can tell ya it ain’t nearly enough. As the City of Baltimore is finding out with its dwindling police force, it just ain’t worth it, no matter what the pay to some officers. Some things are more important that money.

Pelline is talking to himself on his blog again… No Jeff, Gregory really is my name and I’ve never hidden my full name… I dropped it here for my byline because Rebane refused to delete clear fabrications about me by a possibly borderline psychotic retired Frisco teacher (he was teaching AP Computer Science without any computer science background, and they apparently didn’t want him back after he took a year “sabbatical”) was gleefully flinging mud at me from his compound in North San Juan in order to poison the search engine well.
It isn’t a sock if it’s your own name and everyone knows the last name that matches. I’m not hiding… unlike “Jon Dozer”, Gloria Zane, Annie Fox and a plethora of others.

Now Jeffy is calling me a coward!
I signed my full name for every post in his cesspool because I enjoy a good argument. When getting slimed by that deranged schoolteacher, I dropped my last name here just to keep the mudballs down from the people who knew from the beginning who “Gregory” was.
Jeff lied about me here and ended up being banished under his own name. That’s Jeff Pelline for you, now he throws mudballs at me at his safe haven, and, many believe, using assumed names here. Shame on you, Jeff.
It’s a shame the likes of Tony Waters won’t post at RR but guilt by association is a strong shame among the left… Jeff banished me here to get me tarred by his “hard right” signpost. I don’t believe in guilt by association and if someone wants to think ill of me for having a beer or a conversation with someone of a right wing persuasion, well, some people have opinions that don’t count in my world.

Jon Dozer July 8/10:18pm…Interesting, and regardless the human story, common sense tells us all lives matter, and especially their morals if you expect to have a decent life. We all have responsibilities and create the kind of family, neighborhood and community we live in. There are ignorant, corrupt individuals who come in all colors…but we shouldn’t subscribe to anarchists killing innocent people, looting and burning down neighborhoods.
I’ve seen what misguided persons in power used to get rid of pests, and loved what Clint Eastwood did to expose it.

There’s no argument about the reality of life for much if not most of black America. It’s horrible. But I side with MLK on this one… “We can’t keep on blaming the white man. There are things we must do for ourselves.”
One simple thing the besieged regular black folk of the inner cities can do… get over the reluctance to come forward when a local black kid kills another local black kid. That’s what regular white folk do. Tell the police who did it so they can get the guy off the street.

Jonnie boy – that article didn’t tell me a thing I didn’t already know. Furthermore it conflated a lot of different points that weren’t always about white cop/black citizen. It also made a lot of unproven assumptions and some of what he wrote might apply to some white people but none that I know.
I don’t have any white guilt, son. I’m only responsible for my own sins. I don’t care what kind of bad upbringing you had. You just have to grow up and take care of it, as have millions of other folks.
There are plenty of blacks in this country that would be happy to take a base ball bat to folks like jonnie boy. There’s little that conservative blacks hate more than lilly white lefties that run off and hide in a white county and pretend they know what’s best for the rest of us. Blacks ARE getting shafted in this country. Obama being the worst offender of all. One of his first acts in office was to throw poor black kids out of their good schools that they loved and wanted to be in and forced them back into the govt union schools to rot. Of course, he forgot to send his own daughters to those schools. Funny that. We know how to work together to improve the lives of all of the poor in this nation, but the left will have none of it.

“Chicken squat, get it while it’s hot” called out the farmer. 🙂
Scott…yep, we all get it. Nobody likes to be given “that look” by anyone, anywhere when they are simply trying to find an open parking spot, doing for their shopping or in the elevator, or hanging out in a 7-11 parking lot. You know, the ole evil eye casting suspicious looks at you. We get it. Don’t need no lectures. But, the left can’t help themselves from ‘splaining it to us uninformed albino Neanderthals . .
So, if we all stop casting glances of suspicion or fear at our black brothers and sisters, then all will be well with most people of color. Oh, moi has been on the receiving end of “that look” Didn’t like it then, didn’t like it now.
Mrs. Obama knows. She was shopping at some big box store back in the day and somebody asked her to get something down from a shelf. Racism cause the customer thought Mrs. O worked there. Probably more because Mrs. O was well groomed and wearing a top that resembled a clerk’s outfit.
Obama felt that look as well. Walking down the street and white folks see him and cross over to the other side or see him get in an elevator and decide to wait for the next one to go up. To add insult to injury, O was supposed to meet a couple of friends at a nice restaurant at the 5 Star Hotel. He was waiting outside when a rich white dude pulled up, got out of the Ferrari and tossed him the keys and said “park it where it won’t get scratched.” And handed him a Jackson. Racism.
That would never happen to me. First, I am not known to wear nice black slacks and nice white collared shirts, . Also, I don’t hang out in front fine hotels or fancy restaurants. Too expensive and I could invest that money instead, but that is just me. Also, if some pompous ass tossed me the keys to his Ferrari, I would purposely drive it straight up to
Purdin’s Crossing, hop out, and watch it roll down the gorge and into the river.
Look, I have been just leisurely strolling down the sidewalk in GV back in the day and people (all of them) would turn their heads. No eye contact with me and all I was seeking was for someone to nod or smile or acknowledge me. One smiling lady with a young daughter stepped out of a boutique a few doors ahead of me on my stroll and glanced my way. Suddenly fear gripped her countanence, and she was terrified. She grabbed her daughter’s hand with a yank and both turned to face a window. Akin to walking down the halls in prison. The guard yells out Dead Man Walking and all the prisoners must turn and face the wall, nose to the wall. That is what it is like just after one gets “that look”. Nevermind I was a total dirtbag back then. Those were dark days.
So, to begin with, how in the world do we get palefaces to stop giving people of color “that look”. By legislation? By standing on the soapbox? Lectures in the halls of Harvard and Yale? Anybody have a clue????? ??? Shoot, I dumped that white guilt crap many moons ago, but still use others’ white guilt on rare, rare, rare occasions to my benefit. Call it the Ace in the Hole.
