[Apologies; it’s past the time for fresh sand. A correspondent sent me this one-liner seen on a t-shirt: "liberalism: moochers electing looters to steal from the producers!"  Now some of our readers are of the zero-sum variety and maintain that it’s the 1% who steal from the 99%.  And that keeps the country destitute, causes foreigners to spurn coming here, and gives rise to the long lines of Americans clamoring to emigrate to greener and socially more just pastures.  gjr]

Maybe I’ve been too harsh towards Ted……..

“Peter King: “I Hate Ted Cruz, I’ll Take Cyanide If He Gets The Nomination”

    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-04-19/peter-king-i-hate-ted-cruz-ill-take-cyanide-if-he-gets-nomination
If he provokes this degree of angst in a wanker like Peter King I might need to give him another look.

So, Mr. Fish, are you saying your dog ate your homework? Bet you stayed home and crashed for two weeks. Ok, ten days. Sure, you bought some stuff at the Home Depot for the Pete to do those projects. Still stilling there on the garage floor? Without proof, I will have to lauch into The Giant Leap of Faith and take your world or it. Oh, smiley face.
No real topic today, so here is some filler.

Sorry Walt – the EPA is not giving up it’s newly found powers. The only reason they dropped the proposed rule was because it was completely unenforcible. They still believe that once a vehicle is manufactured for use in the US they have the right to oversee it’s use and compliance with emission laws no matter how old it is or what it’s current mode of operation. They are gunning for the aftermarket manufacturers of high performance accessories for cars and other motor vehicles. This isn’t the end of the story. As is the case with most idiotic govt regulators, they do not understand the long term ramifications of their rule making nor do they care. They don’t care if their rules mean an increase in unburned hydro carbons. The important thing is to maintain control over the population and increase their power and scope of operations. If this means a bigger budget and higher salaries, they are only too happy to go along with that coincidence.

Lawless pigs? You would have thunk pigs should have evolved further up the ladder by now. Alas, it’s not to be. Just look at the mountains of plastic trash the illegals and human smugglers leave in our protected wetlands on our southern border or the mountains of trash the illegal campers leave leave right here in our beautiful local towns. I sure hope that fire they started yesterday on Sutton Way burned up some of their piles of discarded garbage. Time to call them what they are-irresponsible, lawless pigs that need to grow up.

So its now being reported that Prince did not go to the hospital for the flu a few days ago. They are saying now that it was to get an emergency opioid overdose shot. Heroin? The flood of incredibly cheep heroin is proof of the lie that drug gangs would go away if we legalized weed. All the cartels did was rip up the low end weed fields in mexico and plant opium poppies. I was at a DEA event 2 years ago and the satellite pictures told us the flood was coming and it hit will full force by 2015. Legal weed is not going to make the scum bag drug dealers go away and abandon their distribution networks, it just made them shift products so new we have heroin going for 5 bucks a bag.

Atta boy, just latch onto any half-assed rumor floating around out there so you make a political point. You can at least wait until the autopsy is completed and the coroner files his report.
Care to speculate on how much staff time–i.e., taxpayer dollars–went into the research and writing of the article “co-authored” by Miller and Weston in today’s edition of The Union? It reads like something that would come out of the county manager’s office–this is to say, devoid of life and any spark of creativity.

George B. – Yes, it reads like cut and paste from previously generated county communications.
    • Uphold the current ban on outdoor cultivation and associated commercial marijuana activities. Indoor cultivation of up to 12 plants at a time would still be permitted in legal, non-residential structures. There is no limit on the size of the plants or the number of crops that can be grown in a year.
Q: Why do we need to put it on the ballot if we already have an ordinance?
My answer: Because they want to set it in “stone” since a voter initiate is much harder to amend or modify (except with another expensive ballot initiative).
    • Help reduce the environmental damage from large outdoor grows such as discarding of trash, human waste, illegal use of pesticides, illegal grading, poisoning of wildlife, unauthorized diversion of water from streams and substandard storage of hazardous materials.
Comment: all of the above are problems common to many land uses in the rural neighborhoods. Trash dumps used to be in any convenient ravine on a quiet road. You still see old sofas, etc. on the sides of roads. Only MJ growers perform illegal grading, poison wildlife, leave haz waste lying around the yard?
Measure W is strictly about controlling nuisance, environmental and public safety impacts from outdoor grows. It is not about whether marijuana has medicinal properties or who should have access to it.
Comment: these things are enforceable with ordinances already on the books.
    • Reduce neighborhood impacts such as traffic, odor, and criminal activity.
Q: traffic, seriously? When MJ is legal “criminal” won’t be criminal.
    • Relieve pressure on County social services programs such as mental and behavioral health, adult/child protective services and welfare.
Q: Huh? Maybe concentrate on meth, booze.
    • Re-define Nevada County’s legacy as safe and welcoming for families and new businesses.
Comment: Re-define? What is this area, the hillbilly South Central LA?

It has puzzled me that since most of the heroin in our country is coming across our southern border, then why not secure that border??. Sure, you can’t plug all the leaks, but maybe a few dozen breaches. Already the cartels and smugglers are making plans to get narcotics into the US should Trump build the Great Wall. Plan B is on the drawing board. Drones might be the new mules.
It just shows us that we have no political will to stem the flow of smack, aka, H, aka, Horse, aka, heroin. No political will.
