   NPR’s climate expert thinks it’s entirely consistent with an El Nino, “Jon”… and the high of 58 forecast for the 25th is well below the record for December set in 1998, in an earlier El Nino.
   It’s weather, not climate.

   Again, the NPR expert thinks the high earlier this month, of 69 degrees (iirc) might have been 68 degrees without AGW, no ones really knows ; that’s close enough if you take a CO2 sensitivity of from 1 to 1 1/2 degree C for a doubling of CO2, and the rise from 300ppm to 400ppm, still 200ppm short of the first doubling.
   “Jon” reminds me of a little poem that an engineer I once worked with (a Brit) would recite when management got unhinged:
   When in trouble, when in doubt,
   Run in circles, scream and shout.
   There is a warming effect of CO2, “Jon”, it’s just much smaller than natural variations.

    Anyone notice that no one is concerned about the Dem candidates’ chops on foreign policy. Sanders and O’Malley haven’t shed any light on their familiarity with what’s going on out there, and have no plans to go tour the countryside. The only one about whom the voters know is Hillary because she has a record demonstrating that she knows nothing about foreign policy (red plastic buttons notwithstanding).

At least the woman folk are taking notice, even though they cannot own a firearm for self-defense. Similar to the last link, but the 2nd part of this link explores the social contract. As I have pointed out before, one of the grievances in the Declaration of Independance was the Crown not keeping up with their end by failing to protect the people from “savages”.

    Hillary’s latest lie and logic, did everyone catch it? In the debate she claimed that ISIS was using Trump videos to recruit members. Turns out they haven’t done that, but her two handlers – campaign manager and ‘communications director’ – did the Sunday shows declaring that Hillary won’t retract any of that bullshit, because ISIS could very well do that in the future, and she knows what they are really thinking.
    We are aware that the Lying Left has told us for decades when they put words in our mouths (often in double quotes) that it was what we really meant because ‘we know what you are thinking’. Now it appears that this remarkable function has been expanded to include those devious Muslims. So watch out, none escapes the gimlet eye of Hillary the Queen of Hearts.

    The natives actually do love it when their President returns home for the holidays. Hawaii is a bluer and greener state than CA and he is their pride and joy. I’ve been there at the same time as the President. Gridlock is an everyday event on the major roads of Oahu and Maui anyway.
