[We now hear the latest from the steroidally augmented politically correct. At Brooklyn’s PS#169 the teachers have banned even the use of the terms ‘Christmas’, ‘Santa Claus’, ‘Thanksgiving’, and several others in school affairs as hearkening back to a time of error and religion.  Adding to their decades long progress in neutralizing the American intellect, our educators are opening a second front to extinguish our culture and cultural values.  How long until the Left establishes newspeak.gov, an online service for those who demand their daily prophylaxis against being insensitive, racist, homophobic, religionistic, discriminative, …, and foster proper gradations of inclusivity, balance, gender neutrality, global perspective, ecological sensitivity, celebration of transgenderism, … on our road to becoming the new Socialist Person (I almost said ‘Man’)?.  gjr]

Hey Jon jon. Does this mean that people living in Tulsa will have to get Malaria shots in the not too distant future? Bring it on. I did like the 75-76 highs each day and the 74 degree lows each night in the foothills of Equcador. We could use a winter or fifty like that in these parts.
My feet have been cold lately out on the back forty burning brush.. Good thing I saved some of those out of fashion HawIan shirts in a box somewhere. Climate Change rocks! Note to self: Start designing the cabana with big Kon Tiki lava rock monument to double as a service are for mixing up Coco-Locos to friends and foes alike.

That’s your answer “Jon”? (“jon” figured out how to capitalize his aka)
Nice try numbnuts, glaciers have been residing for thousands of years.
If they didn’t you couldn’t go to Yosemite. Let alone be living here.
BTW.. Snow was to be a thing of the past in D.C. “stuff children will only read about”.
How did that prediction work out?
1.) Scientists predicted in 2000 that kids would grow up without snow. It was 14 years ago now when UK climate scientists argued that global warming would make snowfall a “a very rare and exciting event”.
2.) It’s been 10 years since scientists predicted the “end of skiing” in Scotland. An article from the UK’s Guardian in 2004 quoted scientists and environmentalists predicting the demise of Scotland’s winter sports industry, including more remarks from Dr. David Viner, who had already predicted the end of snow in Britain.
3.) The Arctic would be “ice-free” by now. “Some of the models suggest that there is a 75 percent chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during some of the summer months, could be completely ice-free within the next five to seven years,” Gore said in 2008.
4.) Environmentalists predicted the end of spring snowfall. In March 2013, the Union of Concerned Scientists predicted that warmer springs would mean declines in snow cover.
5.) The end of skiing. Ski towns across the country were worried about their prospects when temperatures temporarily rose up into 50s and 60s in early February. Scientists were fanning the flames by predicting that winter towns could see more hardships ahead due to global warming.
And the list goes on.. And on….

Holy Smokes. Obama has been running to the microphones for 3 days straight to assure us that there is nothing to fear but fear itself. Boy, 3 days straight and he still hadn’t assuaged the nation’s fear of Islamics run amok. Even the NYT is helping the President craft a message that resonates. Hasn’t worked so far. If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, try again.

Still a thundering CCC silence from the ‘jon’ on my 1248. Those pesky facts keep getting in the way of his hackneyed talking points. Points that have been so tattered by the winds of truth that they provide little protection to the narrative anymore. No matter how many times they repeat the mantra over and over and over and over and over and over……………

That’s right Walt, but unfortunately the climate process those people were describing doesn’t end on December 31, 2015. Gore stated “some of the models said” and all the other statements were commentaries on trends which continue today. Every one of them.
Back to politics, a very astute piece on Marketwatch today.
    http://www.marketwatch.com/story/how-hillary-clinton-could-win-the-white-house-by-march-2015-12-18
“the party of Abraham Lincoln has apparently become the party of Jefferson Davis. “Angry white men of the South, arise!”…Meanwhile, the party is losing millennials, professionals, the college-educated, women and Hispanics by wide margins. Good luck with that.”
Unfortunately, young Mr. Marco Phony can’t seem to explain his past and present positions as he stumbles and stammers to reconcile his evolved views on immigration. His attacks on Cruz are lame. He’s clearly a better general election choice than the other two extremists, but probably the least intelligent candidate running in either party.

I would suggest you go look at the inventions and you will answer your own question. Why do you white liberals have such disdain for fellow white people? We are all equal, but if you look at the differences it usually is education. The more educated the better off one is. Why do you not have the same disdain for La Raza Paul Emery? Or the Black Panther Party. Tell us if you have any guts. Be honest. If you can.
I am proud to be a man of white skin. I don’t know how to be any other way. I don’t self hate like you white liberals. I consider your positions on this a mental disorder.

There’s probably no good reason for pointing out the obvious, especially when it makes for hard feelings.
The statistics on that kind of observation are interesting. The Nobel Prize, especially outside of the literature and peace variety, makes for an interesting homework assignment (there’s no Nobel Prize for economics, so it’s simplest to leave that out). According to the Telegraph, there’s been 15 prizes awarded to women and more than 500 to men in the sciences.
Whether that’s due to lack of educational and research opportunity or is due to a standard curve for scientific ability that falls differently on men and women is not a thing I’ve run into any kind of proof about. It could well be a combination of the two, but it’s not a topic that most people can view dispassionately.

Jon, you forgot the war on women. What, 20% of our women in the Army develop mental issues just in training. That gets expensive and they haven’t even seen front line combat…yet. There are diffences in our biological make ups besides having or not having a stem on the apple.
Call me sexists all day long, but I think the USMC looked at the facts objectily. Facts say this, liberals say it does not fit into the narrative. Oh, just saying “White Empowerment” or “White Lives Matter, too” is a sure way to get you kicked off any liberal campus worth its salt.

An interesting point by libertarian Donna Laframboise, past VP of the Canadian Civil Liberties Union and very prominent climate skeptic:

I will never forget when a life long feminist with a degree in Feminist Studies (a much beloved family member) read San Diego’s report on domestic violence. She read the part I showed her about in the heat of argument, refusing to eat the dinner the wife made is emotional violence, thus considered full fledged domestic violence. Her reaction was “They are trying to regulate marriage!” She was thinking aloud not that this was silly, but instead the report was scary. Unbelievable to her, still a life long feminist who confesses that it has taken her years to undo her “brainwashing in college.” Had little to do with the principles of Equal Rights.
Many crusades embraced by our black students on campus have little to do with the Civil Rights Movements, just as most ideas coming from the new crop of feminists have little to do with the Women’s Movement.
This is a dicey subject and has little to do with AGW, The Oppressed People speak, and speak out of their poop chute IMHO.

That’s an interesting point. Just what does ‘sexist’ mean to people (everyone carries their own internal dictionary after all)? In an ideal world, do men and women share not only exact equivalence in abilities but also share the same number of outliers?
I’m willing to accept that viewpoint, but it would have to be shown to be true. Until then, it sounds more like a quasi-religious philosophy than reflecting physical reality.

Paul Emery, while Todd’s comment that “white males are the engine of progress and the world is so much better off” may be “politically incorrect” to say, it is difficult to refute. If you look at the accomplishments of white males and their impact on the world since the time of say, Da Vinci until the time of Bill Gates, and imagine the world without the accomplishments of the white males, it is hard to disagree with the statement. No where did Todd denigrate the accomplishments of George Washington Carver, or Marie Curie. You are very quick to dismiss the message because you don’t like the messenger.
