AG Loretta Lynch said yesterday that there was not enough evidence to connect San Berdooโ€™s terrorists with any specific religion.  For that I called her a double dummy.  Upon reflection, that overly generous attribution was in error, and I withdraw it.  English currently does not have an appropriate term that accurately describes her level of ignorance and/or cynicism.  Therefore I must await an expanded lexicon.

Many of us notice that the Left immediately starts hyperventilating about gun control in the aftermath of the latest Muslim massacre.  This serves two purposes โ€“ 1) pursuit of an ever more compliant America to prepare the country for global governance, and 2) the Leftโ€™s mindset allows no viable opposition to the spread of radical Islam and its global caliphate.  William McGurn (โ€˜The Liberal Theology of Gun Controlโ€™) also argues this point.  Our electorate's ignorance of this organic deficit constitutes a clear and present danger to America remaining a sovereign nation-state.  (Isnโ€™t it interesting that both the Left and Islam seek to rule all of humanity under a single world order?)

One person, two-thirds vote.  This is the important case that SCOTUS is now chewing on as it reconsiders the population bases for the statesโ€™ drawing of district lines.  If all mirror foggers are counted, then districts with heavy illegal alien and other non-voting populations will increase the clout of those in the district who can vote.  This is a violation of the 14th Amendment, and I hope SCOTUS hearing Evenwell v Abbott has sufficient external plumbing to recognize such violation.  (more here)

Trumpโ€™s proposed Muslim ingress ban has gotten every other politicianโ€™s undies in a bunch.  The Donald says we should stop all Muslims entering the US until our government comes up with a viable policy (any policy?) that recognizes and deals with sources of radicalized Islamic terror.  Given the role of taqiya (about which no one wants to talk), the reticence of our moderate Muslims to expose their own radicals, and the lengthening record of massacres by Muslims, Trump has voiced that which many (most?) Americans support given this administrationโ€™s abrogating its responsibility to secure the country.  In response to such outlandish pronouncements, Trumpโ€™s poll numbers have finally surged well north of the 25% region where he seems to have been stuck for a long time.

[Update]  Power went out on Cement Hill this afternoon and is not expected back until late this evening, unless PG&E postpones it again.  During these times I am reminded that PG&E and all other utilities donโ€™t really work for the consumers of their product.  They are monopolies that work for their state public utilities commissions.  The PUCs are faceless bureaucrats with totally different agendas to fulfill โ€“ it is they who regulate and set the rate cards for the utilities.  When a neighborhood like ours loses power (today for a reason that clearly was not an โ€˜act of Godโ€™), they will take their own sweet time to get it repaired so as minimize some cost function that does not involve my inconvenience.  And the progressives want the government to control ever more of the production and distribution of our goods and services.

[9dec15 update]  A commenter under "… A Cancer on our Nation" contributed this little piece of American law that seems to render moot remarks offered by Sen Cruz on Muslim entrants, and remove considerable sting from Mr Trump's blanket dictum.  Wonder why no one has brought this up in the national debate.

8 U.S. Code ยง 1182 – Inadmissible aliens
….
(f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President
Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.

And a reader and correspondent sends the report ('America's Muslims object to Obama's push for more self-surveillance') by Reuters.  The responses coming in (as in this example) from the country's mosques are not very hopeful, instead they do support the polling results (reported here) of the attitudes of America's Muslims toward jihad, shariah law, the caliphate, and support of ISIS.  RR's proposition that there are a lot fewer 'moderate Muslims'  among us than claimed by the Left and the lamestream stands.

Meanwhile another correspondent sends a report by the Associated Press on the impacts of climate change

The Arctic Ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot, according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from Consulate, at Bergen, Norway.

Reports from fishermen, seal hunters and explorers all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone.

Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes.

Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulf stream still very warm.

Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared.

Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic,

while vast shoals of herring and smelts which have never before ventured so far north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds.

Within a few years it is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make most coastal cities uninhabitable.

This report was published in the 2nov1922 issue of The Washington Post 93 years ago.

Besides Evenwell v. Abbott, there’s Friedrichs v. California Teachers Assoc to be argued in January… either of these winning would be a blow to the current one party state in Sacramento and a distinct shift of the nationwide prevailing winds.

The AG Lynch news conference Friday with the FBI Director was the weirdest news conference I have ever seen. The AG would not allow it to be broadcast live, so it was a delay feed to the networks. There was supposedly reporters in the room with them though you never saw or heard them. They both gave a speech and there was one fixed camera that focused straight ahead on them, never panning around. After the second speech by the FBI Director his last line was “I’ll take a few questions now” and the feed cut off immediately and went back to the station. I do not know what to make of it, it was bizarre. The whole “news conference” was about 5 minutes. I was left feeling I had watched a President Putin new conference from Moscow. I hope this is not going to be how we get information from the AG in future over this shooting.

George the two SCOTUS cases could not be more different. No overlap at all. By my understanding one would require legislative districts based on eligible voters, not warm bodies that are illegal or underage or green card. The CTA case would make dues paying membership in California public employee unions voluntary on freedom of political speech grounds which would turn off the golden spigot opened by Jerry Brown V1.0 and could be felt across the county, depending on how the Supremes decide to handle it.
Then there’s AGW and the collapse of that meme will go through Democratic power structures like a tornado through a mobile home park. They’ve placed all their chips on Red, the wheel is turning and the croupier has put the ball in play.

This Trump proposal for a temporary ban on Muslims entering the country has certainly got all the establishment panties in a wad. As I understand it he was saying people coming here to reside, not just for travel ppurposes. But we see what happens when the hysteria starts. Even Obama and his mouthpiece Josh Ernest have called for Trump to quit over this.
I think it is great! When the jihadists murder our people and others around the globe just because they are not Muslims, why should we not discuss it? But as usual, the PC crowd, left and right, can’t hack it so they call for the removal of those sore spots. I have not decided to support anyone yet but I truly think Trump and his yapping are done in the true American way. Toss it out for discussion and see what happens.
I am really disappointed though in Republicans attacking him when they should just shut their mouths. Attack Hillary and Obama and not your own. But they can’t help themselves apparently. They just don’t understand Trumps appeal. I would also say the conservative democrats will probably flock to Trump as well.

Todd @ 9:28: Disappointed? It’s ok to be disappointed. Better than trying to silence them. Candidates vying for their respective party’s nomination trash the rival candidates within their own parties. Oh, polite circles like to call it “drawing a distinction between the two” or whatever nice terms they can come up for mudslinging the other with relish at every opportunity.
This is a contest for who will become the next President. Nobody, and I mean nobody should keep their pie holes shut. Speak loud, stand on chairs, stand on soapboxes, and cry out to the heavens. The stakes are high. There is no participation trophy. This is hardball, bare knuckle brawling, two men enter, one man walks out alive, winner takes all, fight to the death (of one’s campaign). Stand your ground, make it your Alamo. Let the muck fly!.
As a side note, now that Obama is not running again, just where are those people who did not vote in 2012 that Obama claims he represents? He heard their voice! Where are the silent ones that threw their support behind out President by not voting? Well, we are beginning to hear from those 30% of non voters and boy oh boy, they ain’t keeping their pie holes shut nor toe the Party line.

” Left immediately starts hyperventilating about gun control in the aftermath of the latest Muslim massacre.” – George Rebane
It is time to stop using 18th and 19th century propaganda George. I know you identify with that era most when people of minority status and women were considered property and couldn’t vote, the Senate wasn’t elected, killing Indians and putting them in concentration camps was necessary, and killing labor activist was done for fun.
Calling the crime of another mass shooting a “Mulsim massacre” is par for the course.
Could it be the policy of death and profit over life the US exports around the world? $500 million of US weapons disappeared in Yemen earlier this year. The Mujahideen were armed by US, Saddam armed by US, Iran armed by US, Egypt armed by US, Israel armed by US ect… What is the pattern? We arm all sides of all conflicts while creating unrest and the conditions that create terrorists/ freedom fighters depending which lens we are looking through.
The US insane gun laws is a domestic version of our foreign relation policies.
I absolutely hate all the killing and destruction going on by everyone involved but the only operating paradigm is more violence, killing, and destruction. When the only language understood is profit and death then those who do not benefit from profit only have one language the power structure understands.
    Violence!
Is it a massacre when the US, UK, France, ect… invades, occupies, and bombs the daylights out of other sovereign nations without a declaration of war? How about death squads in Central and South America when people are killed due to their political leanings? Your boy Reagan did plenty of killing of people in the Americas.
I would say in the name of US Interests tens of millions of people around the world have been directly and indirectly killed over the last Century. Coups have been performed and puppet regimes have been installed.
This is what I cannot stand about your right wing regressives who profess love of liberty and freedom. When it is done to others you seem to either turn a blind eye or openly support such anti-liberty, anti-freedom, and anti- natural rights.
    Why is that?

Yes Ben. The bad things you just wrote about our country’s leaders here and everywhere are true. We know that humans are motivated by good or evil. What’s in it for me? And how to get it. Typically, coveting what belongs to someone else, and then taking it from them by any means works. Tax, invade, confiscate and declare war to redistribute the coveted wealth for those in charge first, and what’s left trickles down to make the paupers feel good. That’s world history involving humans. That’s Mother Nature that governs earth’s creatures. Violent survival of the fittest. All have some means of defense in order to survive in this beautiful, but dangerous world. Your body might be coveted by a large predator to eat, and if you created a nice garden, it’s guaranteed other creatures will devour everything in it, unless you’re able to keep them out. I could go on and on, but the most abominal are the powerful parasites who pretend to care about and represent those they oppress, tax and send all over the earth to kill and be killed allegedly for the good of humanity…while they reside in safety. Those who make the bloody decisions should be out in front to experience what it’s like. Then maybe they would demonstrate authentic intelligence and compassion regarding others. Jesus Christ was martyred to lift the human consciousness…for a better world. Obviously, those running it have rejected it for power and wealth, and we now face the violent reality wild animals endure. We cannot survive without common sense.
I feel sorry for people and what’s going on. Kind of like…we should mind our own business and care of our problems at home.

Should be in the billions, but I suppose it is a good, but inadequate start. They need much more than a lousy $500 mil to wipe each other out in the name of the Great Pedophile Prophet of the Sword.
