On the Fue’s blog apparently. Funny how delusional Frisch is about others. Your family flees west and you are a small boy worshiping Goebbels? Where does that kind of slander emanate from? And Frisch never was in the military. Of course I was not but I was in the first lottery and number 326. Frisch had every opportunity to join I suppose, but was probably rejected. All the time you were in the military as was Russ and the FUE and Frisch think and espouse how much better they are. They are the delusional left of America. No wonder they are probably on Prosac!

ToddJ 1222pm – I don’t know about Steve Frisch’s relationship with the military or his meds, but I do know that he has taken some pretty serious whacks at me (and others) over the years. I’m not sure what perceived slights of mine he is reciprocating. Fortunately the FUE is beyond consideration and comment.
But thanks for the heads up. It appears that Mr Frisch is back in his comfortable rut of describing what he ‘knows’ other people believe, and then debating those fabricated positions. I believe it’s a form either intellectual self-abuse or auto-stimulation. But then, whatever works …LikeLike

Theater of White guilt indeed……
“Let me tell you a little story: Some years ago, a professor at Claremont McKenna college in Southern California who identified as Jewish (although she hadn’t officially converted) reported that someone had vandalized her car with a bunch of anti-semitic slurs, swastikas, and the like. Students, understandably, were alarmed, scared, and galvanized. There was a huge campus protest — a great show of solidarity — where students gathered by the hundreds, holding hands on the campus quad, and “intolerance” was condemned.
About a week later, this lady was proved to be a fraud. She had faked the hate crime and vandalized her own car. But the worst part of the story was that was revealed that college administrators already knew she was under investigation for lying to police about the incident. In other words, they already knew that, in all likelihood, she had faked her own hate crime. Yet those administrators went along with the anti-intolerance rally, helping to organize it and standing by silently while throngs of tearful students unknowingly battled the fake racism in their midst. Those administrators were happy to set up a theater of white guilt.
And that, my friends, is what Tim Wolfe, apparently was not willing or shrewd enough to do. He apparently didn’t take seriously the idea that the University of Missouri was plagued with institutional racism. He didn’t realize that one or two anecdotes might be enough to cost him his job if he did not act out his part in the play.I’m sure there are those “here” who would approve.

Over the years people like the Frisch and the FUE are rejected by the people for their ways. I recall Izzy Martin performed a miraculous victory in a write in election. I knew her as a anti-property rights and anti-constitution person. Listened to her spout for a few years as a Planning Commissioner. She portrayed herself as a candidate in the exact opposite light. Well after a short time her true self was exposed through her own mouth. The people rose up and tossed her out of office and Robyn Sutherland beat her handily.
My point is at some point the people now a charlatan like those two libs and will disregard them. Unfortunately for the taxpayers those people go into “non-profits” and swipe a lot of money pushing the lib agenda. I always felt it my duty to take the slings reporting on their snake oil.LikeLike

Voter Registration in US
Democratic Party 27%
Republican Party 20%
“independent” 45%
http://ivn.us/2015/07/06/poll-independents-will-soon-outnumber-republicans-democrats-combined/
VOTE BERNIE SANDERS 2016
The biggest weapon both the Democrats and Republicans use against independent candidates is the spoiler card, this is a 100% fear political warfare tactic. Bernie Sanders has taken that out of their quiver by running in the Democratic Primary on issues the base of the party is founded in. This is why the strongest propaganda tools they have in the 2016 Presidential election is ” Unelectable” and “Socialist”. We have all seen the DNC change their own rules to keep independent Sanders from getting national exposure while protecting establishment’s choice candidate. We have seen media blackouts or ignoring his campaign despite getting huge crowds to events. I am sure the DNC is calling in some favors to sitting elected Democrats to get their candidate early super delegates and media outlets to repeat their propaganda memes.
“independents” have a plurality in the US political spectrum but only 2 out of 537(President/ Vice President included) representation in our federal government.
Here is what Theresa Amato/ The News Press said in a 2009 piece, the whole piece is found here
http://www.alternet.org/story/140493/grand_illusion%3A_the_myth_of_voter_choice_in_a_two-party_tyranny
“As a result, we get the canned, polled, three-message-point speeches, and a Fourth Estate focused on the placement of stage props. We have a highly developed economic system that prides itself on competition (falsely and securely in the expectation of socialistic corporate welfare, handouts, and bailouts for the “too big to fail,” e.g. banks), and a neo-Neanderthal, uncompetitive political system that has been dumbed down to squash any enlightened discourse. Voters are left to distinguish between two boxes of soap, each resting on a branding strategy to sell their political product even as they erect barricades against entry to the market for all other suppliers of political thought.
In the political as in the economic arena, the lack of competition produces inefficiencies, and these are most pronounced when the two market leaders collude to keep others out. How many more election cycles will it take until real progress is made on some of our more outstanding problems, such as access to health care or global warming? Why must we suffer through these inefficiencies of a political marketplace when no competitor is allowed to tell the reigning two-party front-runners that their policies have failed? What cost has it been to the American people, not to mention the Iraqis, that neither major party in the presidential debates or on prime-time news would stand up and oppose the Iraq war in the 2004 election, or that both major party candidates supported a massive government bailout in 2008?
Because the structural barriers against third parties and independents are numerous, this all adds up to a self-fulfilling prophecy: third-party candidates do poorly in large part because people think that they will. Moreover, third-party scholars show how the barriers, the electoral outcomes, the lack of judicial rectification, the lack of knowledge of American history, and the media have all confirmed this “prevalent belief . . . that the two-party system is a sacred arrangement. . . . Third party candidates are seen as disrupters of the American two-party system.” Shut out from the bipartisan political cartel in our country, third parties and independents are labeled erroneously as “spoilers” of a fossilized, entrenched incumbency class—instead of as “defenders” of the right to freedom of electoral choice in the United States. “LikeLike

George,
And a 5th and 6th party as well. The point being we have a duopoly who spend their entire time trying their hardest to convince us they are different while keeping other parties from competing/ challenging their power. If we actually look at actions not their rhetoric they are very similar.LikeLike

Do you know anything about the British elections? There was one in May this year. I I follow them because I get to see the hundreds of political parties do their thing and guess what happens? It is either the Tories (victors in a majority) or Labour. The Liberal Party was totally booted from government there. You can learn something since you seem to think multiple parties are the answer. Or maybe not.LikeLike
-
Todd,
Just because in your case a bad personality equates to being incorrect on so many issues means it is the same for others. Global Warming/ Climate Change are indeed real and we need bold immediate action if we are going to mitigate its affects on our climate. Without the ability to count on relatively predictable climate we are doomed for trying to structure a society, economy, and a future for grandchildren. The costs of not doing enough now will exponentially increase as time goes on.LikeLike

Without the ability to count on relatively predictable climate we are doomed…’ Your real problem is that it is not predictable as you guys refuse to accept the limits of the database and historical changes that had nothing to do with us. While its oh so pc and trendy the real voters have already abandoned the hysteria. It does not even make the cut for top concerns of the electorate.

Sanders? Uh,, NOT going to happen Ben. I turned in my “GOP” card so count me in the “I” column. Just like many, many other Conservatives. The Repubs are not my pappy’s GOP.
They are now LIB Lite if anything.
The Tea Party is now rising to the occasion. Thinks LIBS are doing great? On the BIG score board, Conservatives have relieved sitting LIBS of their seats in local and state elections nation wide.

Glad to hear Walt. Originally I registered as a democrat and within a decade I left the party.

Here is the issue that won’t go away. Not about providing a safety net for our most vulnerable (to inflation) seasoned citizens, but no one is talking seriously the insolvency issue, IMHO. A tweak here and there, setting income limits for retirees, or change in COLA, won’t be a true fix. May extend the program’s as we know it “life expectancy”, but I just need to look at the demographics and the millions of low paid workers to see this can’t go on forever.
Right now SS costs each and every non-beneficiary over $6,000/year. That is a big hunk of change that should grow higher over time and as more qualify for the Earned Income Credit, get full refunds of all income taxes paid for the year, and Obama’s fix for a slow economic was to reduce the FICA taxes by 33% for a year, which will not help. Yes, income tax is not SS taxes, but the projections are poor for the many who actually believe the American Dream is dead and will truly be among the half measures unwashed masses. Oops, back to SS.
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/social-security-proposals-show-shifting-192400098.html
Right now, everybody gets a nice break every time the price of fuel goes down. Lower energy prices are needed to stretch one’s disposal income further, and boost the economy as consumers can afford to do a little more spending. But that won’t solve the problem SS insolvency problem looming over us akin to the unfunded liability issue, which nobody finds uplifting to discuss.
Oh, forget cheaper energy prices as that is going the way of the DooDoo bird. And if you are able to struggle successfully to keep your neck above the quick sand, Obamacare will eat up your gas money anyways and a lot more.LikeLike

I actually work for a living an have a life outside of blogs.
Your opinions and remarks on the blogosphere creates some serious doubt that you follow anything political objectively. The fact you used UK electoral system seems a bit coincidental that “conservatives”, equivalent to US Democratic Party on philosophy/ policy on many issues, won recently.
Since you follow UK electoral system so closely can you please explain to us how it works? Can you expand on your very professional explanation in your 10 November 2015 at 04:57 PM comment where political parties “do their thing”.
I can explain how many forms of democratic systems work and could post links but you seem to think using facts, quotes, and citing sources is something to look down upon.LikeLike

Sure Ben Emery. I am glad you are off the dole and back in the workforce by the way. Better for your self esteem.
I wrote about in my last overview of the British elections, which appears to have been over your head, I pointed out the British have many many parties. You keep pounding that you want many ore parties and my point is/was, it still boils down to two parties at the end. So, you are just unable to “get it” as it appears. There, I did my best to bring my points down to your understanding level.
Also check other countries like France and Germany and you will see this is a universal outcome.LikeLike

Never been on the dole.
I got your point and if you actually understood the UK system you probably wouldn’t have made your original comment.
Right now we have dozens of different political parties in the US that exist but barriers(legal and financial) put in place by the D’s and R’s make it virtually impossible for them to be competitive.
Your boy McClintock supports IRV, how about you?
” One Republican ready to take that look is Tom McClintock, a state senator who on June 3rd won a hotly contested primary for a Republican-leanning open seat. Last year Sen. Well I guess I am like Trump. For many years I had to listen to people like Ben Emery, Frisch and others and be Mr. Niceguy as a elected official. Once when Chairman we were having a public hearing about K Housing. The chambers were packed with mostly Ridgeites and they want K-Housing. My position was I supported their position. After a break, I went out to have a cigarette and this hippy dude came over and got in my face. He was yelling and I said did you not hear my support? He called me a Nazi! The guy is like the libs. Even when they get there way they are still like Ben Emery etal. I said I would not take their BS anymore so I counter punch. It usually denigrates to what you are referencing here. So, because I am not PC and go hide or quit like that wimp Chancellor at Missou, it frustrates the PC crowd. I will always be this way unless the liberals change their tactics.
Ben Emery wants more parties and I gave him where they are practiced and what the outcome is for them. He decided to BS the issue and call names. Even in the face of on the ground reality he still writes trips as he has in his 5:52 PM. He is like a trained seal, trained by the PC left and nothing will penetrate that noggin.LikeLike
-
Nobody wants you to be PC or go hide and quit, Todd, but tactics such as posting a link to images of portable toilets because your antagonist uses the name “jon” are so sophomoric that any valid points you may have are easily ignored or dismissed. Couple such ploys with writing that would embarrass actual sophomores (e.g., there/their and denigrates/degenerates*) and you are rightly disrespected. Demonstrate some class and strike back intelligently, with facts rather than name-calling, and you will earn others’ respect and probably enjoy improved self-respect, too.
Our host has recently and on multiple occasions demonstrated his aversion to your contributions here but his tolerance has been more than generous. Please consider that you have abused his hospitality.

Any word on Trans Pacific Partnership?
The US has signed over its economic sovereignty and in many cases legal sovereignty to a one world corporate government.

BenE 858am – We have discussed the TPP here before and concluded then that liberals are concerned that it will more easily ship jobs overseas, and conservatives are worried about its provisions which curtail America’s sovereignty. Both sides fight their own ideological contradictions. The Left is more globalist and should celebrate the free movement of labor and people across weakened borders. And the Right has always promoted free trade and free movement of capital across the world as long as profits are protected. The TPP presents dilemmas to both.
Here finally is the full text of the agreement as now studied by Congress before giving it an up/down vote.

A few moments to explore the really ugly comments by Frisch in the FUE’s septic pond:“The problem with Rebane’s Rumination is that it forgets that the very thing that protects my rights, the Constitution, the thing he names himself after when he calls himself a “Constitutionalist,” protects my right to be gay if I want to, enjoy equal protection, benefit from public resources and teach my children about climate change or evolution. We can’t take those rights away by creating a standard for “living amongst neighbors they know”, or teach people “in their own manner”, because we live in a society of rights and laws handed down by our forefathers who anticipated just such separatist, know-nothing, exclusionary nonsense when they assumed people have some level of evil intent in their hearts and protected us from it.
I have news for George, you don’t live in the Third Reich any more, you live in the United States of America, we don’t need Lebensraum, Lebensborn, or Nuremberg Laws… He’s just an old crank who learned propaganda at the feet of Joseph Goebbels as a boy.”George, as a Estonian little boy (4? 5?) fleeing the Red Army with your family, did you even know enough German to understand Goebbels as he was listened to by the adults in your life looking for snippets of real information amongst the manure being shoveled?
Frisch is shameless when he thinks he can get away with it; his latest screed will be taken by the usual suspects, and the ignorant, as a virtual labeling you as the moral equivalent of a Hitler youth rather than a real refugee from a very old enemy of Estonians on a rampage.
Perhaps this fresh account by a third generation Estonia-Australian will help Frisch find his buried humanity and issue a retraction:

…but I won’t hold my breath.LikeLike

He has been a little wound up lately. I imagine Steve isn’t used to people not deferring to his titanic wisdom and stupendous grasp of history.
I imagine it’s unsettling.LikeLike

Holy crap! (to Gregory’s 2:46)
All that “my rights”,, yet is dug in like a tick with the “prosecute the AGW deniers” crowd.
And we had an old lady go postal in the low rent district of GV! She kneecapped some poor bastard with a .38! And over rent, apparently he didn’t owe.
Before I pass judgment over the ol’ girl, I would like to hear her side of the story.
Was the guy coming at her in a threatening manner or not?

Is Bill OK? this is the kind of woman he has a weakness for. Feisty and pistol pack’n.
OK,,, someone find out her voting stance. I got 10 bucks that says she’s a Dem.LikeLike

Frisch supports the illegal aliens and then lectures about a country of laws. My GOD the man is a loon!
I see he also wants to be gay in his screed. Did I read that right? If so, maybe he could tell us all how many LGBT’s are employed by his SBC. But he really is only a “white privilege ” man sucking all the free stuff he can find.LikeLike

‘fish’, imagine the angst if the Paris Climate shindig fails in yet another “last chance”.
Let’s look at one snippet of the Frisch nonsense:[The Constitution] protects my right to be gay if I want to, enjoy equal protection, benefit from public resources and teach my children about climate change or evolution.
… but of course Frisch and Pelline, science illiterates both, have worked to shout down anyone wanting to teach their children about natural climate variations in public schools. Frisch is exactly the sort of Nazi he accuses others of being.
BTW not having any kids you might was well have been gay, Steve. It’s not too late for you to explore your options. In our case, my wife Teri and I were happy to find Grass Valley’s St. Sensible as a refuge from Common Core version 1.0 in 1996; not only did the kids learn arithmetic skills (the gateway to mathematics, just try to learn Algebra without a facility with standard algorithms and fractions) but the Creationists bringing their kids didn’t catch that MSM actually taught an Evolution close enough to the scientific ideal to pass muster with us.
It’s a miracle how the Lord’s will be done… down at the quantum mechanical layer where we can’t tell he’s just throwing dice 🙂LikeLike

Frisch is no different from those little babies now occupying colleges. He and they whine and cry like 11 year old girls. For goodness sake, military service out of high school might be necessary. The boys are wimpasses and the girls are growing hair on their chests. What has happened?

Frisch is exactly the sort of Nazi he accuses others of being.
Yeah he does give off that vibe.
I especially enjoy his very public and vocal championing of the 1st amendment only to whine incessantly about how poorly the “rubes” go about exercising it.LikeLike
