   Just returned and saw your comments. Actually, I am correct and if you read Carson’s book entry on this you will read that he never applied for West Point. I have also just listened to his press conference and the press was quite aggressive but apparently none have read the book. Politico made the story up from a tidbit where Carson said Westmoreland or his aides talked to him about WP since he was the leader of the ROTC and had great grades etc. So yes, once again all you press people jump the gun and don’t do your homework. Politico did the same thing to Herman Cain regarding their made up story he had affairs.

   Todd, your lame excuse, “he never applied to West Point” is a red herring. No one suggested he did.
   Carson, “I was offered a full scholarship on the spot.”
   West Point: “The school has a rigorous entry process that would not have allowed Westmoreland to guarantee anyone entry. Furthermore, there are no “full scholarships” to the academy.”
   Google the statement from Gifted Hands. It’s there for all to see. No Politico spin required.

   jons 524pm – For those who know the military and the influence of the highly selective and insular flag officers club (in each branch of the service), any recommendation from a three-star like Westmoreland would have guaranteed Carson’s acceptance at West point had he applied. The statement you quoted is merely public relations fodder. May it continue to comfort you.

   But if it’s a choice between a lying, money laundering, potential felon, and someone who was unaware of how admissions and tuition work at West Point when he wrote a book almost 20 years ago I know I would choose the latter.

Those 911 calls Nichole frantically made while being battered all turned out to be ant-brother.     Do you not understand how to use Google Books? In 20 seconds you can drill down the chapter, paragraph and sentence that Carson wrote. Politico did not go back 20 years and “make it all up.” You are one of the dumbest smart people i’ve ever run into . . . but maybe I’m giving you too much credit. If you run for sup, I personally pledge $5,000.00 to Heidi’s campaign. The downside of course is that you will then know my address and probably poison my dog and run over the mailbox.

    Tozer, what was the left’s treatment of Condi Rice? She had a great educational background, great brain, with a war hawk agenda and unnatural loyalty to the team even when facts were known that ran counter to the story they told. This is what every progressive I know objected to. I heard Michael Savage one day attack her worse than any progressive ever did. Clarence Thomas yes indeed, now that’s a totally different story..he is very strange person, had a strange interaction with Anita Hill, and was totally unqualified for the highest bench. Not a great brain on that guy.

    No “jon”,, Not the collective “ECO bastards” where the XL pipeline is concerned. ALL the studies were in it’s favor. It was just “O” being his usual royal DICK to the U.S. worker.
    Any way to screw over the nation, he has done it. Just like the coal miners. He even suckerd them in to backing him in the election. Union LIBS are not the sharpest knives in the drawer.
    All those problems will go away when a Repub is elected President in a year. Hillary will be in jail, ( Her signed document surfaced today) and Sanders is unelectable, and no one has heard of the other two clowns.

    Well, we will see if Carson is a liar, liar, pants on fire…..or not. Now, if Carson claimed he was under enemy sniper fire as he raced across the tarmac as fast as he could to an awaiting heavily armored vehicle to whisk The Brain Surgeon to safety, that would be a horse of a different color.
    “Feet don’t fail me now” stories are ok, nothing to see here. But, why o why Ben, did you utter a mix up you have concerning West Point? Geez, I know you were trying to figure out how to achieve your dreams and which way to go at 18, but you will not be forgiven for this one. At lease you didn’t do the Herman Cain bad thing….always a silver lining.

    Trumpeter rocks and kicks butt. And a growing number of female minorities of color say “Here’s a man I can trust, not like those flakes that left me high and dry.”
    Trumpster, Carson, makes no difference to me. And Trump does not even have to debate. He calls the press, throw out a nice spread for them in his office, and gets all the free press he could use. No need to run ads, save one or two now and then. He has them eating out of the palm of his hand.
    A little personality goes a long way when you are out there kissing babies. Lest we forget, the press is used to being fed cheap ass sandwiches with dried out corners, so a visit to The Trumpster’s office, domicile, building (same thing) is a feast fit for Kings. Smart move on The Donald’s part as he never has to leave his place and still gets wall to wall coverage. Wonder if he keeps a jar of jelly beans handy.
    Now Dr. Carson is fit as a fiddle. But, can he (or Rodclam) actually be good administrators, CEOs of this bloated government? Hey, it pains me to say this, but the only one with the administrate and give and take back room glad handing experience would be Jeb in regards to things like getting Wall Street reform past Chuck and Congress. Of course, The Donald would make a few calls and it would be on his desk in 3 months, but that goes without saying.
