Well, depends who you ask, Dr. Rebane. The FBI is seething mad about O spouting no National Security risk while the evidence and combing through Hillary Rodclam’s web of deceit ain’t even over. Might just be cranking up.
The Good Side (Dem Nat’l Party) takes that as a semi-endorsement of the e-mail thang. No harm, no foul…..yet. Not about Benghazi no more as the forensic specialists are on to more important things of true National Security threats of who sent top secret stuff over a basically unsecured system and the ole what, when, why, and to what extent.
I take O’s statement as a two edged sword. First, he said Rodclam’ did bad things, which is not a defense of her. Then he said what she did ain’t all that horrible bad, knowing full well that the wheels are in motion and he, as Pilate did before Jesus, decided to wash his hands of the whole matter. Let her dangle in the wind and see what the FBI forwards as recommendations to Loretta Lynch.
Will Loretta Lynch become the new Janet Waco Reno and take the fall if Obama gives Rodham the thumbs up, or will Valerie give Mrs. Bill Clinton the thumbs down to protect her boss’s legacy? Stay tuned for the next episode of Days Of Our Lies.
And now, a word from our sponsor: “Do you have iron poor blood?………….”

Well, she does have fat ankles, but that has nothing to do with what Rodham brought on by the actions and decisions she, and she alone, made to handle communications as the Nations top diplomat. No one to blame except the Happy Gal in the mirror.

Right on time. Now George Board man has picked up the anti gun torch.
Right along with the rest of the anti gun blowhards, points to “studies” and evil Repubs who protected the citizens rights.
Board man didn’t mention that NO law would have stopped any shooting. The trigger pullers had NO RECORDS that would have stopped the sale of a gun. Except in ONE case where the FEDS dropped the ball.
According to the gun grabbers line of thinking, Places like PV and Rough&Ready should be killing fields. There are guns in every home.(Plenty of them) So what’s wrong with that picture?
The likes of George Board man NEVER bring up the streets of Chicago (where legal gun ownership is the real crime) and the city block of anti gun laws on the books.
In one week, let alone one weekend more people are killed than in any “mass shooting”.
There it’s just continuous. Yer Sir,, all those anti gun laws there are working out just swell.
Take a nice walk in the windy city Board man, The city with a thousand gun laws you like so much. Anti gun laws make you safe.

Haven’t read Mr. Boardman’s column yet, but I am sure it is thoughtful.
With that said, every single mass shooting (mass murder) that has been wrought upon us has been in gun free zones, with the expection of one or two tragedies.
Reading what the wing nuts wrote on social media or left in journals at their abodes for police to find later, one eerie theme emerges. The killers all wanted to carry out their plans without meeting opposition or being stopped, thus the facilities they chose were places where they would not be stopped by deadly force.

Yes indeed, that was a classical hit piece on the 2nd Amendment by Mr George Boardman, right down to the usual omissions and dubious stats. The gun grabbers’ perennial argument is ‘why can’t we be more like the Europeans?’ without admitting a clue about the differences in our societies. They continue to ignore that it is the culture of the ghettos abetted by scumbag politicians that cause the overwhelming number of gun murders, and the mentally disturbed and ideologically deranged who commit mass killings contribute very little to the body count.
What the Boardmans of the world don’t seem to understand is that the marginal cost for eliminating that last fraction of a percent is extremely high for us as a liberal democracy – they view us as peer nation on the global scene. And in this regard, none of them acknowledge the historical role of the 2nd Amendment in America. But Mr Boardman has every right to his ideology, even one that may be destructive to the Republic, and no one should do anything to deny him his voice.

As I have mentioned on numerous occasions at RR, I believe that now is the time for the Boardmans, Frisches, and others to climb the pile of bodies and rally their troops to enact truly meaningful legislation to eliminate the scourge of gun violence from our society.
    What are they waiting for?

There are a number of intended mass shootings that end early because there was someone with a gun to stop them early; there’s a reason such shooters choose “gun free zones” to carry them out, and Umqua was not an exception. For those of you who were confused by the confusing recently, here’s an excerpt from a John Lott piece:

“Oregon law does allow permitted concealed handguns on school property. The New York Times, Media Matters, and others have been quick to pounce on this fact. What has been ignored, however, is that public educators in Oregon have undermined the law by putting bans in faculty and student handbooks.
There may be no criminal sanctions for violating the ban, but faculty face termination and students risk expulsion. Those are life-altering penalties. Faculty members undoubtedly won’t get another academic job if they committed a firearms violation. Expelled students are very unlikely to be admitted into another college.
Although Umpqua can theoretically provide written exemptions for the bans, school president Rita Calvin wouldn’t even let the college’s security guards carry guns.
Only people unaffiliated with the college can carry on campus. But even they are subject to a 2011 Oregon appeals court decision that allowed schools to ban guns in their buildings.
What all these rules mean is that no potential victims — students, faculty, or those unaffiliated with the college — were able to defend themselves in the classroom where the attack occurred.”
    <a href="http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/thinktank/Would-be-killers-target-gun-free-zones.html

I’m pretty sure this is the Frischian caricature of CCW holders:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-wUe5aEwHM
No, people who legally carry concealed aren’t Walter Mitty/Mighty Mouse wannabees looking for a chance to be a hero, and so the students who were methodically shot one by one just sat quietly for their turn.
Regarding Europe, then there’s Anders Brevik…
    http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/feb/22/anders-breivik-massacre-one-of-us-anne-seierstad
Yes, we do have a sub-sub culture of disturbed young men who decide to go out in a blaze of what they apparently see as glory and, short of a police state with a different Bill of Rights you’re not going to solve it by restricting access to firearms by the vast law abiding majority who have had the right to posses them for centuries.

Ecotopia! I had forgot all about that book. Yep, the liberals will pull a Chicom on us and only one male child is allowed. Drown all the girls just like they did in China. Now forty million horny men are prowling the streets! And, if that is not enough, kill all those little black fetus trying to get into the planet’s atmosphere via Planned Parenthood. Yes, we are inching our way towards that Ecotopia aren’t we?
The reason we have so many yahoos in prison (mass incarceration) is in my opinion, the tradeoff of freedom versus totalitarianism. Sure we could emulate European morees and pass laws to send out GeorgeB and his ilk to confiscate the guns but like Ben Carson said, if the sheep were armed to fight off the wolves they might still be alive. We have freedom in our country to be good or bad. A lot of people are bad. We have people who know the use of a weapon to kill another is a bad thing and if caught they head for the clink. So let us raise “good” people.
We can do that by changing the raising of people. What we teach them from day one. If we teach them that guns can kill and that is bad (except in self defense), perhaps that might work. If we have mentally ill people who wish to kill, we need to remove them to safer quarters in a institution. The ACLU will of course fight that and represent the mentally ill so they can kill but we should still try.
Last but not least, we need to bring shame and discipline back into the lives of our people. Feeling of shame can be a great deterrent to bad acts. Discipline is taught to show there is a consequence to bad acts. OK done ranting for know. I am sure you are glad.

By the way Obama is the highest he’s been in the polls for over two years. He might actually be an asset to Dem Craps in the next election. He’s far more popular than Congress and TWICE more popular than the Pubbers in Congress (24%).
“Obama’s job approval rating is now at 51 percent, a six-point jump from the same survey in July, and an 11-point boost from the same point last year, when just 40 percent said they approved of the job he is doing.
The president also won a majority of approval for his decision to keep troops in Afghanistan past the previously announced 2016 deadline, with 50 percent supporting and 39 percent opposed.
On the other hand, just 35 percent of Americans thought Democratic lawmakers are doing a good job compared to 59 percent who do not, and just 24 percent approved of their Republican counterparts while 71 percent did not, with both numbers roughly in line with recent years’ polling.”

The numbers are from Washington Post-ABC polls. Do you consider the WP to be an “arm of the Democrats”?
” More than half of Americans in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll approve of Barack Obama’s job performance, a first in nearly two and a half years. That compares with 71 percent disapproval of the Republicans in Congress, with six in 10 calling their struggle to select a new House speaker a sign of dysfunction within the GOP caucus.
Likely boosted by improving economic sentiment, Obama’s job approval rating has gained 6 percentage points since July to 51 percent, a level he hasn’t seen since May 2013. That’s up 11 points from his career low a year ago. Forty-five percent disapprove, down 5 points since midsummer and 10 points from its peak in late 2013. ”

Really I thought you guys were too smart to fall for that nonsense?
But hey good luck with that…hope you’ve got an additional 8 trillion to keep your economy treading water for eight years!

Liberals win with a majority of seats
The Liberal party won the Canadian election with an estimated 184 seats out of 338 (as this goes to print), ousting the ruling Conservatives. The Liberals were expected to win a minority of seats, so the majority victory comes as a surprise. Liberal leader Justin Trudeau will become the new Prime Minister, commanding the confidence of the majority of Parliament. The change of government should largely keep Canada’s business-friendly environment in tact: Liberals want to keep corporate taxes low, and the party supports the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) free trade deal, as well as most major pipeline projects. However, a push for carbon and environmental regulation by the Liberal government could be negative for the energy sector.

Seems though that Canadas “liberals” know “on which side their bread is buttered”.

It appears as though the main political factions in both Canada and the US think that supporting the TPP is in their interest. I thought that Canada, being a bit further down the social democratic road might have been less inclined towards a trade pact that many paint as having such dire consequences for “workers”.

Judicial Watch released an email today that showed the white house at 911 pm on the night of the Benghazi consulate attack was going to cite a different you tube video as having incited the demonstration. The so called Pastor Jon video which is believed be the God vs Allah you tube video. They later shifted focus to the video mentioned by the usual suspects. Looking for a scapegoat? The sept 12 Diplomatic security bureaus time line mentions no video incitement and shows madam pantsuits was told on that day it was an Ansar Al Sharia act. The WH was scrambling to avoid any acknowledgement of the facts on the ground or admitting it was radical muslum jihadis that planed and executed the attack. As far as Benghazi is concerned, Steven’s request for a minimum of 11 personnel (including security) to travel from Tripoli to Benghazi was denied by Hillary’s Assistant Secetary of State. Thumbs down to Steven’s repeated requests. This works in Hillary’s favor as she can say she did not receive any requests nor denied the requests from where the rubber meets the road.
It all had to do the upcoming elections coming up in November. Obama was getting ready for the debates with Mitt and had been spouting that Al Quieda was on the run. Osama is dead and terrorists being routed. This Libya thang kinda ran contrary to the White House line and with elections coming up. Obama left and said Hillary will handle it. Don’t know all the facts, but the relations between our National Intelligence Community, including the CIA, and State suddenly took to being a frosty relationship within days of realizing they had to bite the bullet to cover O’s and State’s rear ends.
All these investigations and no one can tell me where Obama went after being briefed. Know he went to Vegas the next day (just like OJ) to raise money, but what did the President do after he walked out of the room??? Guess it is easier to find out his collegiate transcripts of his grades and class schedules and one piece he wrote for Harvard Law Review than having my one question answered. O and Hillary’s first instinct is to be secretive and defensive. Shy away from the light, shy far away.
